Good stuff: lots of marked hiking trails, and a cool cave. Meh stuff: the campsites are awkward at best. WATER IS AT CAMPER SERVICES! You must fill your fresh water holding tank. Sites are not level and they are close together. This place is fine for a one night stopover - Richard From Georgia

We stayed just one night while passing through Missouri. Best part was the value. The weather was very hot and humid, so we needed electric to run the AC. The price was right for both AC and water. The campground was filling up fast, so we grabbed the first available site we came to. The power pedestal was a long way from the site pad, so we were lucky to have an electric extension cord. Without the extension cord, the electric service would have been useless in that site. It was the same situation with water, so we didn't even bother. The road through the electric section is rather narrow, so backing into our site was moderately challenging. It was also very unlevel, but it was so hot and humid, we just wanted to get plugged in and turn the AC on. The basic (non-electric) section seemed more spacious and level. The electric loop was much tighter, with sites on both the inside and outside of the loop. Google Maps will direct you through a highway rest area behind the truck parking, and through a gate. Viewing the street view of the road, we saw that the gate was closed, so we rerouted ourselves. The gate was in fact open, so we were able to leave through the truck parking with no problem, but it isn't clear why the gate is even there or who controls whether it is locked or open. - Libre RV

It'd been about 15 years since I last camped at this park. I'd always stayed in the "basic" loop since the VW Westfalia didn't have hookups, but this time we camped in the RV / Electric site loop area up the hill. It was horrendously hot that weekend (105F) and there were only 2 other RV's in the loop, and a couple of poor souls tent camping in the Basic area. The park was clean, quiet, and no host was seen all weekend. I didn't use, but investigated the bathroom and showers. They were in pretty run-down shape but usable. There's also coin-op washer & dryer available. I also noticed that many of the electric sites are pretty severely off-bubble. We had one of the more flatter sites and still had to use several blocks to level out. Some of them looked so bad that you might have a hard time getting level even with jacks. The park has a boat launch and the cave is NOT open for tours. Not a lot of attractions at this park. I suppose it's just a cheaper alternative to the 2 RV parks closer to the highway on the same exit. - VW_Vista

Stayed there from May 2-May 28, 2019. After our arrival we had been there for about 2 hours, I began having chest pain and blood pressure up. We drove to the main office to check and see where the closest hospital was located. The owner called 911 and within minutes they were on scene. Owner was very helpful and made sure that my wife remained calm throughout the ordeal. The owner is a retired registered nurse, and I am thankful she was there. The owners of this campground were very helpful during our stay. This place is off the interstate and very quiet. There are lots of things to do in the area if you so desire. - Herbbil

Management very friendly. Park was spacious, although campsites were cramped (no room for awning). Reservation records appear to be manual. Nice, spacious dog park and paths to walk animals (we have a cat that is leash trained). Nice, clean laundry with all machines working. - Cajun Nana

Based on the reviews on this site, we had decided to stay at another campground around 2 miles down the road from Kan-Do. However, as we could not find anyone there, we drove back to Kan-Do, which is right next to the interstate.
Kan-Do is a very large campground with spacious sites. There are full hookups or only electricity and water, but all the hookups we saw were dated, and our waterspout did not work. Luckily, most sites were vacant and we were able to go to a different site. Some waterspouts are shared between two sites, which means you must have a long hose if you happen to be on the wrong side of the spout. Most sites have picnic benches and although ours did not, we "borrowed" one from another site which was vacant. Our site was fairly level but we saw quite a few sites that were not level. There is a fairly large children's playground but unfortunately most of the equipment was in a bad state of repair. The pool was shut but we were told it would open in May. The bathrooms are quite a long walk if you are on the far end of the campground. There are also quite a few long term residents. The Wifi was excellent, although this may be because so few campers were there to use it. - hmcity

We stayed here for 1 night on our travels and would highly recommend this park! The roads were mainly gravel but it was a very nice, thick gravel. Sites are very level, there is some grass between sites. Very nice sturdy picnic tables in each site along with fire pits. The folks checking us in were so nice and showed us to our site. There is a HUGE dog run which our 4 aussies enjoyed after being in the RV, traveling for 7 days. There is plenty of room in our site for our 33' motorhome and tow car, nice spacing in between sites. The park is pretty close to the freeway for easy on/off but far enough back that we don't get traffic noise. I can't say enough good about this park! I wish we could stay longer but we're on a schedule. - Joy216

This is at least our fourth time here and have never been disappointed. This works out mileage wise going east west then south to Sikeston Mo. It is so neat and well kept. Gravel was all newly added . We stopped in our site and it was so level we did not put down jacks or put slides out for our overnight. WiFi and cable worked well Everything was so nice. I'm sure we will stop here again in our 40' mh. - JAWS

We used this park as an overnight stay. It is a very nice park and the owners are very personable. We had a large pull thru site. Easy to get to from the interstate. - bwl

The owner was very friendly and kind. The campground is a bit run down. It seems some campers live on the sites. The pool is nice, but chilly. No WiFi and the website says there is WiFi available. - Haynes

My husband and I were having issues with our alternator so we had to stop. This was the closest campground to us. If you have ever seen the movie Deliverance, this is the feeling and atmosphere at this park. Old RV's, broken down trucks, pond full of scum. The playground had broken equipment and it was all very old. The site for the camper was level and the pool was fairly clean but these were the only good things about this campground. The showers and bathrooms were old and smelled horrible. There were some shady looking folks hanging around that really gave me the creeps. We charged our batteries and left after 2 hrs. The man who checked us in saw us leaving and just turned his head. There were only 3 other campers there and 2 of them belonged to the owner's family. Really creepy place! - Ordoqui
Apr 2018 - $32.00
Very nice couple owns it. Very level lot I was in. Very shady which is great in summer. Made you feel like you were really camping in the woods-loved it. Has a fishing pond and a fenced playground area for kids. He has goats, chickens and geese on the property. Really fresh eggs for breakfast. Country setting, close to freeway-noise not to bad. Very nice older campground. I broke down on freeway and was towed here. I'm glad I was. I will definitely be back. You ought to check it out. - Susan from KCMO
Aug 2018 - $13.00
To start on a positive note, the woman who runs the office was very nice and helpful. Also, my husband used the bathhouse facilities and said they were good and clean. It is a private lot-owners property, but has a few camping spots. We discovered it online via our Passport America membership, so the $13 price was good. However, getting to and from this property with a motor coach is very difficult. Rough, narrow and windy roads. The sites are unlevel and the grounds are in in need of maintenance. We drove through the section for lot-owners and were shocked at how very run-down it is. Very old units set up, deteriorating and the whole area is junky. We were not given a list of campground rules and it's obviously because they have no rules or standards. The gates are locked and we were not given codes to go or come, which is a uncomfortable. Lastly, there is absolutely NO cell phone data coverage or signal. I hate to write a bad review, but I recommend avoiding this place. - Debbie12376

We stayed here on PA. The dustiest, dirtiest, and furthest from civilization! Never saw the pool they claimed or the internet! Never would stay here again. - dd2some
