Our Good Sam Chapter loves visiting this park. There's a large meeting room clubhouse available in case the weather is inclement. On Saturday evenings, you can get a BBQ meal at the "Pickin Parlor" in the rear of the park before local musicians start their jam session. The music is free and always enjoyable! - rv4fun

Easy access off Hwy 60, but road noise not too noticeable. Easy to get in and out of our pull through site. Utilities were excellent, WiFi only at office but Verizon worked fine, minimal TV stations with antenna. John was attentive and friendly. Enjoyed the music and food Saturday night at the Pickin' Parlor. Laundry equipment is new and reasonable. - Lke

Very easy to access off US60, long big rig friendly sites. We were only staying overnight and I asked for a site long enough that we didn't have to unhook our toad and got just what we wanted, plenty of room. The sites are all gravel and some are close to each other, but it was not crowded on a weekday, so that was not an issue for us. Interior roads are paved and gravel, easy to maneuver in and out. Bathrooms and showers are immaculate! Showers are as big as our home shower and look pretty new. Laundry room is nice and clean as well. Free WiFi, but it only worked at the office, but that was not that far from our site. They have a Pickin' Patio where they have music on Sat nights and a huge open field behind it for kids to play on and dogs to romp (un-fenced though). Nice walking trail back there too. Some seasonal occupants, but all where clean and tidy, no junkers. The guys that run the place are super friendly and helpful. You make a reservation on their website and they will call you back to confirm. They are not often right there to answer the phone, but when you show up to camp, they are there to check you in immediately. Even though we were close the the highway, it was still quiet. Great place to stop overnight or to stay for a while and experience the Ozark area. - janebob

This was a neat little jewel. The owner was great, they had a good laundry. The wifi was fair. We'd stay again. - Billy Strayhorn

Very friendly Office personnel. We arrived after dark at 9:30PM. Site was easy to get to, and level enough that I did not use my levelers. Girl who checked me in was very friendly, and gave me some pens and calendars. I will stay here on our trip back to Missouri. - eddieelk

Stayed here 3 nights in early September. As previous reviewers have indicated, this is primarily a full-timers RV park. They have ~10 sites for overnighters. When we called to make our reservation, she took our name and said to just pick a site (was given range of site #'s) when we arrived. We had our choice of 5 or so sites. They were gravel sites and quite long. Not a lot of shade around. We grabbed a registration form but before we got it filled out the campground host showed up. Later that evening, the campground manager & host came around with little gift bags, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. Not needed but a nice gesture. The 'new' shower/bath house is a basic concrete block structure. It was fairly clean. The main building does have a bathroom but no shower. Also has a common area with TV, games, etc. It is somewhat close to the highway but you won't hear it too much. What you do hear is the train that is on the OTHER side of the highway.
Overall we were pleased with our stay. We stayed here in our Teardrop Camper. - The GeoDrop

Stayed one week to visit friends, will look for different park next time. Park seems ok, but I called several times to get wifi code and to pay for stay and did not ever receive a call back. No one ever came to the office during the week. We left a check in the mail box. - RV roadrunner

Sometimes appearances can be deceiving. Upon first glance the park looked old and run down. The old asphalt/gravel roads were WAY beyond needing upgrade and navigation around them was not easy with my 38 foot RV. Upon arrival there was nobody on duty because we came in before posted September office hours of 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There was no evidence of a park host, so we selected our own campsite. The pool was closed for the season, as was the rec center. There was only one dumpster in the park. After selecting our pull-through, what looked like an old abandoned terraced site surprised us, being both level and long. Utilities were conveniently located with 50 lbs. water pressure at site 10 c and Wi-Fi was good. OTA TV reception was also good. Taking a closer look, the grounds had been recently mowed and were dotted with old growth trees. It had a rural charm. Upon visiting the office after the receptionist arrived, I found her to be friendly and helpful. Laundry and rest rooms were spotless. This park will never pass for a premier RV park, but it's convenient, clean, friendly and provides all the basics. We stayed for two nights. - TMN-15

Old reviews were not good but new owners took it a few years ago and this place is nice. Our first stay here was 15 years ago and it is really different now. Very clean facilities. Grounds were well manicured. Pool is clean and warm. We have a 26ft RV which fit in pull through very easy. Had sewer, water and electric. Small store but has the basics. Right off the 4 lane but noise was not an issue. - Tom and Lynn

We went here 9 years ago and really enjoyed it. Today it has become more of a floaters preference than for camping relaxation. We left 2 days early and went elsewhere. The washed out hill entering the location can't be any worse. Better have 4wd or a tow truck to get out. Your brakes will be burning on the way down. There is only 4 rv sites. A big camper will not be able to fit. We had to pull in sideways and ate dust from the road. They have a 4 prong dryer plug outlet for electric, fortunately the office had a adapter. No real pad only the grass to park on. Fishing is out of the question. No banks and wading would be fruitless due to the floaters. Restaurant is limited to a few overpriced not very tasty menu items. Only good thing was that the owners seemed nice but not very knowledgeable about their own business. I know this is not a good review but it's very factual. - NewRVr

The best way to describe the owner is "civilized". He and his family are ready to help if needed but unobtrusive otherwise. My idea of a good campsite is quiet, scenic, and uncrowded and this place has it. We camped here in a 36' 5th wheel and you need to be a good driver to use their best sites but the results are worth the effort. A short stones throw from the river and good trout fishing. People pay big $$$ to stay where you can get a spot for under $30. - raven
