Aug 2017 - $38.00
Common areas were watered but the sites did not have any grass. Sites were so close I could see into the neighbor's rig on one side and the other side had the sewer and water hookups in our yard. We could not use our picnic table due to proximity. All sites were pull-through. - Betsy_02
Jul 2017 - $40.00
Old KOA that has seen better days. Run down facilities. New owner is slowly repairing and upgrading. Sites are too close together. Sites are gravel, level with minimal shade. No pool or club house. Small store. Staff was courteous and friendly. WIFI weak, ATT weak, Verizon good, no cable. Pricey for what is offered, but acceptable. - Pacatrader
Jul 2017 - $36.00
This park had previously been a KOA. New owners are making improvements but it leaves much to be desired. We were crammed into a site so small my pick up door opened into the neighbors patio area. There was a large tree along side the site that I was barely able to get on the site because of it. There may be a site or two that are better but I didn't see it. All seemed very small and very tight. I have never been this close anywhere before. The owners were nice and helped me get parked on this tight site. - petendoll

Stayed for a week in a upper level shelf space. Great views, saw wild turkeys & deer. Space was flat and fairly level. This parking loop was mostly for truck campers & very small rigs. New owners are diligently working to get the park up to their standards. Very friendly and helpful owners. Great access to local Montana tourist areas. Very quiet at night w/spectacular star gazing. One of the cleanest parks I've been in. - Karit1
Aug 2018 - $40.00
The Rambling Moose Campground was previously called the Virginia City RV Park. There are new and highly motivated owners who are very friendly, helpful, and full of plans to make this park exceptional. The rest rooms and free showers are spotless, there is a laundry facility available, and the WiFi was great. We were in spot 10, the last pull-through up the hill, so it was a small space and all the rigs made their turn around us, but it was okay for a couple nights. If we were going to stay longer I'd ask for one of the back-in spaces off to the side of the main road through the campground. The park is right next to the highway into town, but it's silent at night. We'd recommend this campground to anyone traveling in the area. It's a quick drive into Virginia City, and there are other places to explore nearby as well. A great spot. - sail2blue
Jun 2016 - $32.00
Small, but very clean, quiet and peaceful park. Owners/staff are wonderful. - Eric-Kim
Sep 2018 - $35.00
Small park, most sites have shade, the owners are very helpful, the bathrooms have been remodeled, they also have a very nice laundry room. The park is in down town Ennis. The WIFI is the best we have ever encountered there is no OTA Television so we were able to stream HuLu, Verizon cell service is good. - Tfrout
Jul 2017 - $40.00
My husband and I can highly recommend this relatively small park with good facilities and friendly hosts. We were impressed that the bathrooms and laundry facilities were both recently updated and very clean. The park is very well located, within easy walking distance of the main street, restaurants and shops. The spaces are a little narrow but with a lot of trees that offer friendly shade in summertime. The lawn is well cared for and green. There is good wifi but no cable. We stayed here for nine days. - Barbara from Austin
Sep 2016 - $45.00
This is a clean, quiet park. Sites are rather short, narrow, near-level, shady gravel, separated by wide strips of grass and trees. In Autumn, many leaves will fall on your rig. Each site has a picnic table. Voltage is good. There's plenty of room to maneuver.
Verizon LTE works well.
WiFi is strong; I measured 1565.9 kB/s down.
No terrestrial broadcast TV or VHF weather radio.
Laundry: 2 top-loaders ($1.50), 2 dryers ($1.50).
There are 4 clean private showers for the park, but no shower curtains.
Staff are friendly and helpful. - wjzcbn
Aug 2016 - $38.00
This is a very small RV park located just as you enter Ennis from the south. There are no restrooms, showers, or cable but there is 50 amp, water and sewer. This park is hidden gem and is only a couple of blocks from 'downtown' Ennis and a nice Lions Club park is next door with access to the Madison River and several paved paths with benches and picnic tables scattered though it. There is also a small playground and fishing pond for kids. The only reason I did not give it a 10 was because of the lack of restrooms, showers, and cable. The sites are not large but it is usually not full and there are some seasonal sites for workers in the area. We will stay there again when we're in the area. We have a 36' RV. - KarenS144
Jul 2015 - $32.00
This is a great spot for a short stay. Nice people and a few shade trees. The view was pretty good and it is very close to town. - carold
Aug 2013 - $30.00
The RV park is located within walking distance of the charming town of Ennis and next to a great city park. The city park was great for dogs and has access to the famous Madison river. There are some picnic tables and a charcoal grill available but no fire pits. Owners are very friendly and helped my wife lower our awning while I was fishing. Great place. Note there are no showers or restrooms. - bugsy
Sep 2018 - $36.00
We stayed at Ennis RV Village for three nights while traveling between Idaho and our visit to the Tetons. The campground is along the Madison River and my husband was eager to get in some fly fishing. The CG is about 45 miles south of I-90 along US 287 and easy access from the main road. CG roads and sites are gravel and we were able to easily maneuver around the park with our 45ft motorhome with car attached. Sites are gravel with a small section of grass between sites and level. We were easily able to level the coach with our jacks. Utilities were mid site and worked well. Water pressure was good. We had good satellite reception and no OTA channels. Although the CG has Wi-Fi we were unable to connect at any point while we were there. We did not use the rest rooms or laundry so cannot comment on that. There is no defined dog park but there are large open, grassy areas to the east and north of the park where folks walked their dog. There is no playground area for kids. Campground staff were very friendly and helpful both on the phone and in person. The campground in general is well kept with metal art and flowers throughout. The views from the campground are wonderful, particularly to the east. We would definitely stay here in the future. - LvR
Sep 2018 - $36.00
Agree with the prior review. Staff was very pleasant. Interior roads were easy to navigate in our 43' motorhome. Site was long enough for big rig and tow vehicle plus some. Utilities are well placed and actually had two sewer connections on each site to minimize having to use extensions. Wifi was good. No cable, but we had no trouble using our roof mounted satellite dish. Campground is well landscaped and has spectacular mountain views. A work camper told us the owner did his research and interviewed RVers extensively before he built the park, and he obviously got it right. We definitely would stay again. - GrandpaDan
Aug 2018 - $28.00
The owner & staff do much more than is required of them to accommodate guests. My thanks to them for their assistance. Doing that "little bit" more is what makes this park stand out. The park and facilities were always spotlessly clean and kept up. Try The baked goods, "mom's" quality. Definitely deserving of its rating. - Karit1
Oct 2018 - $25.00
This is a nice, clean RV park with a small store, and restaurant with bar. Small, clean laundry room. We drove to Yellowstone and the drive wasn't bad and the scenery was great. Plenty of areas to walk dogs, and nice view of mountains. - retirednrving
Jul 2017 - $35.00
New owners have had the park 1 1/2 years. Nice folks. Clean park with grass and trees. Best WiFi I've seen this year, anywhere! They are putting $ and labor into upgrades. Good bar, nice cafe/restaurant and store. More groceries than most RV stores carry. I'd stay here again and recommend it without hesitation. - grsimpson
