Aug 2019 - $65.00
The best (commercial) campground we had this season. Like all other campgrounds this year, too many dogs were a nuisance. But somehow, the dog owners on this campground kept them better under control, it seems. - Jacob-Eileen

The park is old, my husband went to use the men's room and 4 out of 6 commodes we unable. It does have shaded lots, gravel, and grass. Park needs some TLC. Laundry was inexpensive and clean. No cable, train nearby but it didn't bother us. - Freedom2019
Aug 2018 - $52.00
Easy on, easy off the interstate. Very friendly staff. Owners working hard to maintain the grounds; spraying sites for weeds; watering the grass. Our site was long enough for our 45' coach, tow vehicle, and two guest cars. A train passes through very close by but it didn't bother us at all. I recommend this park. - BLNaugle

Their website states not to follow GPS directions, but both our Garmin RV GPS and Waze took us right into the park. At first, a bit of a concern driving into the park on the gravel road but bigger rigs than our 40' fifth wheel fit just fine. The office was closed and a sign said to go to the house which was just off to the right. Check in was easy and we were escorted to pull through site 16, which was nicely placed on the river. This site was long enough for our 5th wheel and full sized F350. This site had water and 30 amp, which was fine for our 1 night stay. The price shown was the cash discount. If we were to use a credit card, the cost would have been $47. We got 2 bars on Verizon and the WIFI worked well. We went into town for diesel, ACE hardware for a tool, and most importantly wood fire pizza from the Big Timber Bakery. The bakery was basically a breakfast-lunch type place that early in the week closes at 4:00 PM then at 6:00 PM later in the week and weekend. Back to the campground, we enjoyed the sound of the river plus this park was well off I-90 so there was no road noise. We also enjoyed seeing the antelope near the road to the campground and the deer grazing around the park. We would definitely stay here again. - MK_Willi

This park is nice but be aware it is about 3 miles to town so if you need something it is best to stop prior to arriving. The site was reasonably level. The hook ups were centrally located. We did not use the wifi, and did not have any AT & T service. There are two fish ponds, but these were not catch and release so you paid for your catch. The staff was very helpful and did escort us to our site. There was no sewer at our site but the dump station was easy to stop on the way out and was clean. Overall we thought the price was too high. - Al and Anne-Marie

Great place to get away from everything. Very quiet and no light pollution. Sites are gravel and ours was not quite level. There is a river along one side of the campground with camp sites that have water and electric. There is a dump station on the exit road. Other sites have full hookups. I didn't really see a bad site in the park. Wifi was OK but we had no cell service (AT&T). NO cable or OTA TV. There is a small grocery store in Big Timber with semi-stocked shelves. There is also a larger Ace hardware that I had to visit twice for RV parts. We really liked it here and will visit again. - Mitchells

Just the perfect (small) place to stop for getting a good night sleep after a refreshing hot shower. Spacious pull-thru lots and very friendly owners. Our Good Sam membership once again resulted in a welcome discount, Thank You. - Ockie
Sep 2019 - $40.00
Basic park for an overnight or for a few nights. Sites are fine, though you may have to drive out of the park to drive into your sight. No fenced dog run in this small park. Host brought a trash can over for us to use. Made it convenient. Verizon worked well as did the utilities. Not much in this town. Would stay here again if passing thru the area. - TH travelers

We absolutely LOVED our one night at Old West. As others have commented, you are greeted by one of the most capable, friendly and helpful hosts we've ever found. Sites are easy pull through, level, big enough for 5th wheel and truck, services including wifi were all flawless, easy on and off the freeway, but not loud. I hope we can stop again! (Must note however this is not a "destination" park as far as other amenities go). - camperkatie
