Their website states not to follow GPS directions, but both our Garmin RV GPS and Waze took us right into the park. At first, a bit of a concern driving into the park on the gravel road but bigger rigs than our 40' fifth wheel fit just fine. The office was closed and a sign said to go to the house which was just off to the right. Check in was easy and we were escorted to pull through site 16, which was nicely placed on the river. This site was long enough for our 5th wheel and full sized F350. This site had water and 30 amp, which was fine for our 1 night stay. The price shown was the cash discount. If we were to use a credit card, the cost would have been $47. We got 2 bars on Verizon and the WIFI worked well. We went into town for diesel, ACE hardware for a tool, and most importantly wood fire pizza from the Big Timber Bakery. The bakery was basically a breakfast-lunch type place that early in the week closes at 4:00 PM then at 6:00 PM later in the week and weekend. Back to the campground, we enjoyed the sound of the river plus this park was well off I-90 so there was no road noise. We also enjoyed seeing the antelope near the road to the campground and the deer grazing around the park. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is nice but be aware it is about 3 miles to town so if you need something it is best to stop prior to arriving. The site was reasonably level. The hook ups were centrally located. We did not use the wifi, and did not have any AT & T service. There are two fish ponds, but these were not catch and release so you paid for your catch. The staff was very helpful and did escort us to our site. There was no sewer at our site but the dump station was easy to stop on the way out and was clean. Overall we thought the price was too high. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place to get away from everything. Very quiet and no light pollution. Sites are gravel and ours was not quite level. There is a river along one side of the campground with camp sites that have water and electric. There is a dump station on the exit road. Other sites have full hookups. I didn't really see a bad site in the park. Wifi was OK but we had no cell service (AT&T). NO cable or OTA TV. There is a small grocery store in Big Timber with semi-stocked shelves. There is also a larger Ace hardware that I had to visit twice for RV parts. We really liked it here and will visit again. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Motorhome.

Big Timber Bakery has great pizza. Natural Bridge Falls picnic area was a short hike south of McLeod. You can take the dirt path down to the base of the falls or stay on the paved path to the overlook areas.

Park is very nice. The grounds are lots of beautiful green grass which is watered daily. Boulder river runs along side the park and you have access to river for fishing or just cooling off. Now for the sites. Some are much nicer than others. The river sites 1-14 are tight and all gravel. Also they are set up so one pulls in and the other backs. This works if you're all motorhomes but a trailer and a motorhome will share the same patio....not nice. Overall this is a very nice park and depending on your site it can be a 5 star or 3. People are very nice, location is quiet would definitely return. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Motorhome.

Good place for overnight stop. Book early though as this campground fills up with ppl looking for overnight stop in the Bozeman area. Would only suggest sites 16-20 on the river as they have space and grass. Sites 1-14 are tightly packed and gravel only. River sites do not have sewer but good dump station on the way out. WiFi is poor...we just ended up hot spotting our Verizon service and got better speeds. You must check in by 7pm. We got a call at 5p checking on our arrival time. Can only fish when camp office is open so hours are a little restrictive. We were hoping to fish after we got set up in evening, but we're unable. See fishing rules picture I posted. No catch and release. You must keep and pay by the pound for fish. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

What a blessing we got a spot here for the one night! This park was super nice and the spaces are big and roomy. It has a really swift river flowing on property and a couple of stocked ponds. You do have to pay for the fish you catch. We would stay longer but headed to Sturgis. Its like an oasis out here in the planes of Montana. Big trees and water! Laundy was $1.50 wash and $1 to dry! 2 machines only. SO happy they had a spot for us. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

If you love to fish, this is the place. Even if you do not love to fish but want a quiet, lovely campground far from highway noise and beautiful views, than this is the place as well. Check in was friendly and easy. We were escorted to our site. We were surprised that the site was all grass (22). We were here for only one night so we did not disconnect and it was very large. We had a lovely view of one of two ponds that are stocked with trout and the Boulder River behind us was still visible. If I knew the layout before we made our reservations, I would have chosen site 16 which is a pull through right on the river. All others are back in. Our site had no sewer but water and electric were fine. We did have to level. Lots of room to walk dogs and a small playground for children. Wifi was recently upgraded and worked very well for us. I also had two bars on Verizon. No cable and no over the air tv. Restrooms were clean, one shower room for men, one for women and one toilet room same as that as well. There were restrooms for the other end of the park as well near the tent sites. This park was beautiful and clean and I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice peaceful RV Park. Has a fishing pond (They charge for fishing) on a rolling river; very tranquil. Gassy areas, large shade trees. No dog park, but plenty areas to walk them. A bit off the beaten path, and even though we only spent one night on our trip west - it was a very nice 1 night stay. If you get there before check in time, they do charge a bit extra - though I do not recall what it was. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful location, but the staff is extremely rude. We made reservations for us and friends. When we got there half of the campground was flooded so we had to share a spot, no sewer and we both still had to pay full price. When my grandchildren came to visit, my autistic grandson threw a piece of wood they had sitting in pile next to a pond into the water. The staff came out and screamed at him and us, and told us now you can get that out. I tried to explain but they didn't care, after I stood there for ten minutes waiting for it to float to a spot where I could retrieve it. They then came out with a big net and fished it out. My daughter was so embarrassed she left in tears. The only reason we didn't leave was because it was 4th of July weekend and no other place to camp. I'd advise anyone to keep on driving when you get to Big Timber. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Close to the north entrance to Yellowstone for a day trip. We drove to White Sulphur Springs and toured the Castle. We took a picnic to the Natural Bridge and hiked. We love the Thirsty Turtle in Big Timber. Fried green beans are amazing.

We had a full FHU site. Easy back in. Our Verizon phone worked good, the campground wifi was down, "too late in the season to get it fixed"!. We did manage to find an opening between the trees to get satellite TV. There are many different types of sites at the campground so I recommend taking a close look at their campground map on their website before selecting a site. We would definitely come back if in the area. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Thank you for your review. Very sorry for the wifi not working in your site. We are closing this month and would not be able to get someone here to rework the system. We do have wifi up by the office. Yes, satellite is hard to get in the full hookup sites, a lot of trees around those sites. We hope you do come visit us again.

Considering the fact that we were in a water/electric only site, I feel the site is overpriced. All the sites 1-14 are along the creek and not FHU. The site we were in, #5, has no view of the creek because of brush and is really designed for a coach that can pull in because the hookup is on the opposite side. It was so tight we had to park our hauler on our neighbors site and were unable to access the back door because it was blocked by the service pole. Having said all that, there's great restaurants in town and the views are spectacular. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

We are very sorry you did not enjoy your time with us. I wish you would have let us know how unhappy you were with your site, we would have tried to do something if we could. You are right, it is a site better suited for a MH. Looking at your reservation you made it very late and that is likely the only site we had to accommodate you. The side you parked on would have also been part of your site. Again, we are sorry you did not enjoy our park. We try to do our best to make everyone happy.

Quiet park outside of town. There are 2 ponds full of trout. You can't see the campground from the road and it's a 1/4 mile of gravel to the campground but worth the drive. It's gated in the evenings. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great park to relax at. We were in a w/e site at the south end of the park. At first we were disappointed as we thought we had a back-in river site, but after seeing those, we were certainly glad to be where we were. We had tons of space and it felt like being in a park setting. The campground is very nicely kept, and as several have mentioned, the trout ponds look really nice. There is playgrounds for the kids, but other than that, there isn't much in Big Timber to do. All utilities worked well, the WIFI was non-existent at our site. We also couldn't get satellite due to tall trees, and no OTA. We barely had a Verizon signal and no AT&T. This truly is a place to go to just get away from it all. We stayed here 3 nights which seemed a little long as we do like to get out and do things and didn't find much to do. A previous review mentioned the narrow road coming in.....we did meet someone in a car as we were coming in, but there is an area mowed on each side of the drive which made it easy to get by each other. Really no issues with that. The sites that back to the river were very close together. We were in site 64 which would definitely be preferable if you like privacy. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Thank you very much for your review. Very glad you came in to visit us. Wifi is a challenge in the south end. We do have it in the center area. Usually Verizon works well here in the West. While there aren't a lot of activities in the town, it does have some unique shops and very good restaurants. We do hope you will come back to visit us!
