Aug 2012 - $20.00
The previous review of this campground is accurate. The road up to the park entrance is paved. There are 18 backin 30A sites and 6 pull-through 50A sites. Sites are on grass and fairly level. All sites are satellite friendly. This is a nice place to stay to visit the east side of Glacier NP when all the other campgrounds are full. We would stay here again. - Ned
Jun 2010 - $10.00
A rustic and rural well kept campground in an area where large, long, wide, pull throughs are hard to find. 19 miles west of Cutbank, MT and 15 miles east of Browning, MT., then 3.7 mi North on highway 444. It is a short drive in on a narrow but adequate road to the park. If rustic or rural is not your cup of tea, don't stop. If a very quiet and friendly stay with 50 amp, huge, level, grass pull throughs, and water is all you need, you will be happy. Open June through August or by appointment. Mosquito spray recommended. (We use a spray bottle with Listerene around the rig and entrance door.) My price reflects the fact that they were not fully open for business when we stayed. - run2

Aug 2018 - $32.00
This is a 10 spot, no-frills RV park in basically an open field just outside of Browning, MT. There is no sewer, only a dump station. There's a pretty horse farm next door, but not much else. The town isn't anything special. They had 50 amp power and water. The office staff was polite and helpful. This was a good spot to stay for a night while passing through the area, but not more than that. WiFi was very good, as was AT&T cell phone service. - Anthony D
Jul 2018 - $35.00
I was a bit concerned after reading the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised by the friendly, efficient office lady. Yes, the dirt road in isn't in the best shape, but go slow and it's certainly doable. Easy to find, good signs. Glad I made a reservation as they ended up full and even found spaces that I don't think were spaces for a couple folks. Electric worked as it should, didn't use the water and they don't have sewer hook-ups. I believe there is a dump station. If I'm ever in the area again will certainly stay here. - Ella18
Jun 2018 - $31.00
There is no sewer here and they charge you $10 to dump. Road into park is full of chuckholes and very rough. Reservation dogs are a problem. There are garbage cans located near your rig and the dogs got into them and made a mess. Park is near a casino and a big gas station so getting fuel is easy. We would only stay there as an overnight. If staying longer would look for another place. - rolling homeless

Jul 2018 - $46.00
Great location if you are going to Glacier NP. We had a 30amp and water site (no sewer) We were in a pull through up on the side of the hill. We had a very difficult time getting our 40' motorhome level. After several blocks under jacks and tires we just left it close as we could get it. Our site wasn't long enough for our motorhome and Jeep. Great views from this park!!!! - Fishclan Adventures
Aug 2017 - $43.00
Actually witnessed the cleaning lady was sanitizing the shower floors; restrooms are kept very clean. However, that being said, the owner/manager is not the friendliest guy in town; and when we went to eat at their restaurant, a young man actually came out into the lobby where we were reading the posted menu and insulted us. Needless to say, we left and never went back. The sites are very tight, no room for table beside your unit, must be kept behind. When back in that area, will not stay there, but will try one of the two competitor's just across the road. - hartk
Aug 2017 - $45.00
Office staff was extremely friendly and helpful when the dog locked us out of the running truck. Sites were close together and it was difficult pulling into the site with campers on either side especially since one was too close to the road. If they had staff escorting to the site, he should have been told to pull farther into the site. Sites are on a hillside above the office and amenities. Sites are "stairs" going up the hillside. Pad was not level and the yard was uneven making it awkward to even walk around. Dump station was easily accessible. Probably would not stay here again. - Betsy_02

Jun 2016 - $25.00
I stayed here 3 days while visiting Glacier National Park. The campground is about 10 minutes south of the Two Medicine park entrance. The daily rate is $25 plus tax for all sites. All sites have water, sewer, electric. The Wi-Fi will support only one computer at a time. My wife and I could not sign in at the same time. There is no CATV or broadcast TV. There are 4 back-in sites and 3 pull-through. The back-in sites have 30 amp. I first pulled into a pull-through 50 amp site. When I looked at the pedestal only had a 30 amp plug, but had a 5o amp breaker. I used my tester and multi-meter to find that the pedestal was wired incorrectly, with an open neutral in addition to the overpowered 30 amp outlet (VERY DANGEROUS). I checked the 50 amp pedestal on the adjacent site and found it to be similar. I notified the manager, but did not see that a repair was made. IF YOU STAY ON A PULL-THROUGH SITE BE VERY CAREFUL!!! The 50 amp sites are 120 volt, not 220 volt.
On the positive side; the manager was super friendly and very helpful, gasoline is available at the motel, rental cars are available at the motel, there are restaurants (rustic but good) within walking distance. I would stay here again in the 30 amp back-in sites, but I would not use the pull-through sites. - R V Camper

Sep 2018 - $30.00
We arrived, found our site, dropped a check in the office box, and pretty much were done. Very little interaction with the staff. The location is about 35 miles from St Mary's so you have a drive to get to Glacier NP east entrance. We selected this campground because it is located near the historic Great Northern Lodge where our friends were staying. Up on a bluff, the views to the south and east are nice, and you can see the mountains at sunset. - cherib

Pulled in with a 3 night reservation-ended up staying 5 nights. Grass parking was a bonus after parking on gravel or concrete for 6 months. You are allowed to wash your unit. Wonderful host who keeps the grass mowed and watered. Super nice lady and great RV Park. - Okieboy1947

this is a beautiful understated campground. We camped here in a 42 foot motorhome. The owner is very accommodating and the drive into the campground is about three blocks through the small town of East glacier. I'll hook ups work great. The scenery was outstanding. You can walk to a number of restaurants for dinner or over to the lodge in the national Park Pa East glacier. I'll hook ups work great. The scenery was outstanding. You can walk to a number of restaurants for dinner or over to the lodge in the national park. The only problem I had was the loose dogs running through the park from the out side neighborhood as well as some of the campers. There was nowhere really to walk your dog depending on how many dogs were running around. I think us they could simply put in a fenced dog park. Will definitely be back ! - Jansplans

This is one of the out of the way campgrounds, and it was AWESOME to say the least. We were there 10 days, and really hated to leave. It's about 30 miles south of St. Mary's entrance and about 60 miles from West Glacier, but East Glacier is about 15 miles away. East Glacier isn't near as commercialized as the west side, so fewer amenities in town, so if you need something other than gas or a drink, drive the extra 10 miles to Browning to do your shopping. The campground is in bear country, so they do a good job of making sure you keep your sites clean and free of anything that would be an attractant. And this is the 1st campground that I have even been to in "bear" country where I actually saw one on the hiking trail. It is 1st come, no reservations so be there EARLY...like 7 AM early because if not, someone else will beat you to the punch. The sites are a mixture of heavily treed and open sites that are "lakeside." We were blessed to get site #87 which was a lakeside site so there was a good breeze everyday to keep things cooled off, plus they are the biggest sites available. The camp hosts do a good job of interacting with everybody and there is a strong Park Ranger presence in case things get out of hand, but this was never a problem. There are ranger programs almost every night but we never attended any. There are also several good trailheads that originate from within the park for hiking. There is a good campstore there that has a small restaurant with limited items, souveniers, and a few food items to cook with...and decent coffee in the AM. There is ABSOLUTELY no wifi or cell service within the park...have to drive about 10 miles up the road to find it. Overall, this is by far one of the best campgrounds we have ever been to and we are already talking about going back next year. - PatPerry1966

Thursday, August 17 Two Medicine Campground (NPS), Glacier National Park, MT, $10. Site 92, East Glacier, dump station, no hookups, first come This is a beautiful campground located north of East Glacier off of route 49. Route 49 can be driven from the south up to Two Medicine but vehicles towing or over 21 feet are not allowed to drive the last two miles around the mountain to join 89. There is even a short tunnel in the beginning of the drive with a height restriction of 13'. When leaving the campground RV's must head back south on 49 passed the Historic Glacier Lodge to East Glacier then on route 2 over to 89 south or north. There are 91 sites located in three loops - many are in the woods and others along the shore. The ones in the woods don't seem to be that level. We arrived around 7:30am and five sites had just opened up but within an hour the rest were taken. We had site 91 with a view to the lake but right next to water, bathhouse and trash. Across the street was Pray Lake where the hiking starts and one can sit on park benches to view the lake and mountains. Great lake for kayaking, fishing and even swimming. It joins Two Medicine Lake near the beginning of the campground. The bathhouse was just redone. Ranger shows at night and we have seen more rangers patrolling in this campground than any other we have been to on our trip. There are three backcountry campgrounds located in the mountains above this campground. Two Medicine Campground has hikes, lakes, swimming, fishing, boating, ranger programs and just stunning views. Our site looked out to Pray Lake and was surrounded by the mountains. There was a a lot of wildlife spotted in the campground and on the hiking trails here - no mountain lions but beavers, birds, black and grizzly bears and lots of moose. It seems that the 2015 fire drove a number of moose down from the north into these mountains, lakes and campground. Most of them have stayed and babies born. Great stop! - gsnakehill
Aug 2015 - $10.00
We had an excellent site right on Pray Lake with a view of the mountains surrounding us. We set our chairs up at the water's edge and enjoyed all Glacier had to offer. The campground never filled and this was due to the closure of many of the hiking trails from Two Medicine as a result of the wildfires in the area. There was some smoke, but nothing that would result in closure of the campground. East Glacier is nearby, where cell coverage was 4G/LTE. This is our favorite Glacier campground. - Marsha D

We spent a night here in a long back-in site. The sites are double wide, and surfaced with gravel. Many were sloped a little, but we needed only minor leveling. This is a forested area along Highway 2, west of East Glacier. It is near the highway, and a bit further from a train track. Road noise was minimal, and the train was not loud from the campground. There were bear warning signs posted, but we saw no bears. This made a nice place to overnight near the east side of Glacier, when all the National Park campgrounds were full due to fire closures in the western half of Glacier National Park. About 10 miles from the town of East Glacier. - RobinM

Aug 2018 - $40.00
Very spartan full hookup park. Sites are so narrow my slideout on one side was over the next site's electric box. Very bare bones park, definitely not worth $40. Also, do not stay here on a weekend night if you want to get any sleep. There is a bar about a block away that has a live rock band that is incredibly loud thru the whole town & goes till well after midnight. If you don't have a sound machine in your rv you will have difficulty getting to sleep. I called the park office & they said there is nothing they could do about it. - freestyle freddy
Jul 2018 - $40.00
This campground is run by Red Eagle Motel. It's pretty spartan with no bathrooms or shower facilities. It does have full hookups including 50A power. It's only real attraction is it's very close to the Saint Mary entrance to Glacier NP. That's why we stayed. Gravel sites and dirt/gravel roads. Fairly level. A few of the sites are pretty tight. They do have picnic tables. If you come, go straight to the campground which is right off 89 and called Heart of Glacier Campground. The office is at the Red Eagle motel which is up a steep and winding road on the opposite side of 89. No need to haul your rig up there only to find out you need to come back down to the campground. Ask me how I know. - RoadtripImages dot com

Sep 2018 - $70.00
Nice KOA with beautiful views of surrounding mountains, long level pull through site, properly placed utilities with adjacent patio with furnished chairs, table and butane bar-b-que grill. Very nice camp store with a wide variety of supplies, including coffee and ice cream, and clothing and equipment. We had to leave two days early as snow was coming in and park cheerfully refunded one night's charge without us even asking for it. Easy to find right off highway 89 and very quiet with no traffic noise. East entrance to Glacier National Park a short drive away. No wifi, but a very strong Verizon signal. A beautiful place we hope to return. - starwind
Aug 2018 - $80.00
With sites starting at $80/night, this is one of the most expensive parks we have ever stayed in. While the park itself is nothing special, it is very close to the East Glacier entrance, and about 1/2 hour drive from the spectacular hiking in Many Glacier. Sites are a real mixed bag with some being very unlevel (front tires hanging off the ground) to dirt/mud side yards, to relatively level sites with nice grass yards. If you don't mind back in sites, they seem to be more level than the pull throughs with most sites in section B being fine. We were in B14, which was level and a huge grass side yard. Unfortunately, zero AT&T service, but surprisingly, the park WiFi worked really well at our location. Good Verizon and open sky for satellite reception. Dog friendly with bags and waste stations around the park. Very nice camp store. We won't rule out staying here again, but will check out alternative locations. - Jerry and Betsy
Aug 2018 - $71.00
Expensive park due to prime location, mountain views, and extra amenities like pool and hot tub, trails, etc. Has store, laundry, on-site food (wildly over-priced) even with pizza delivery to your site. Roads and sites were gravel, mostly level although I saw some blocking used, so rather site-dependent. Site we were assigned just barely fit us (34 ft fifth wheel) and truck, but there were others that accommodated bigger units, so you get placed accordingly. Maneuverability was adequate. Very nice, well maintained private bathroom/shower facilities, although a little bit more capacity for size of park would be good, as there were occasionally lines to use them. No cable, and no over the air TV reception or even radio stations! Park was pretty quiet the 11 days we were there, despite being fairly full most nights. Had a brief power outage in park one night, no apparent reason according to park staff. In our row, sewer connections were badly placed at far rear of sites, requiring 20-25 feet of hose minimum. Overall, park is a bit overpriced for the poor WiFi and lack of cable TV, despite the prime location close to Glacier east entrance. They really need to invest in WiFi upgrade and stop joking about how bad it is with customers at check-in, especially since there is no cable. - We Roamed and Rambled

Sep 2018 - $5.00
We were looking for a CG near Glacier National Park where we could stop for 1 night and have cell coverage. We're self-contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed 1 week night in late September in our 25 foot MH. This is a very nice CG. It was in 'primitive' mode and price during our stay - only sites in C loop were open with no water, no dump, no rest rooms. The sites are arrayed around a large circle. All are smaller pull through's. About 2/3 are in trees with shade and a bit of privacy while 1/3 are on a hill in the open with full sun and views. Most sites are gravel and need some leveling. We selected site 106. It wasn't the most private, however, had full sun for solar and a beautiful view. It was quite cold (30's in the am) - we prioritized solar over privacy. There was a good Verizon cell signal and no ATT signal. We arrived at lunchtime and had no difficulty finding a site. The CG was half full in the evening. - dsvt
Sep 2018 - $23.00
Spent two nights in space C104 in a 26' MH. Site was pretty level and had no hookups. It was a tight fit for us, but we were able to get our slide out. No cell service in CG, but there was Wi-Fi available at the Visitor center - a 10 minute walk. Great view of the Mountains, and we were able to get our Satelitte Dish working fine (no OTA). There were reasonable Generator hours and we were also able get our portable solar panel fired up for most of each day. There is a nice Shuttle Bus service available at Visitor Center that got us to/from all the hikes we could handle. Showers were nice, but crowded in the evenings. - Davishouse2
Aug 2018 - $24.00
I gave this campground an 8 for a few reason: Pros-#1--close to the St. Mary's visitor's center and the shuttle service #2-beautiful scenery and a chance to see wildlife #3 we had cell phone reception at this campground, because the campground was close to the town of St. Mary's #4-within walking distance to St. Mary's, in case you needed anything #5-very clean campground with friendly rangers Cons- only have two showers for all three loops of St. Mary's??? We had an rv, but there were a lot of campers, who needed to shower. And, about the park in general-again, too many people for the shuttle service. The schedule says shuttles run every thirty minutes-they don't. BUT, if you try to drive, well, the parking lots often fill up, and then, they are closed, so people can't get into the section of the park they want. And, without a car, it is virtually impossible to get to Many Glaciers. Now, don't get me wrong- a great park to visit, with gorgeous scenery. Very helpful rangers and very clean parks. - Lucy7513
