Oct 2018 - $36.00
Nice managers. Nice little park. BIG pull through spaces. Great mountain views in some spots. Great rural location with town close by. Close to Interstate 90 so a bit of traffic noise. - hacker
Sep 2018 - $45.00
Easy access from I-90 and there is a Pilot at the same exit. The staff were friendly and found us a site with some shade. The site was not level, we had to use 3 blocks under the front tires to get level. Only could get 2 OTA stations. They had good WiFi and there is good Verizon service. There were a several long term campers but the sites were well maintained. There was some noise from the interstate but not enough to keep us awake. They have electric only sites and full hook-up sites. We only wanted water and electric so we had to pay for full hook-up even though we didn't need it. - MarkandMarty
Aug 2018 - $45.00
We would come back for an overnight stay. Convenient access from I-90. Site was reasonably level, hooks are central to front and back, wifi excellent, verizon two bars, we used sat TV only. There are trees and it you can get a site with a tree on your south side during the summer, that would be a good thing! We didn't so could not sit outside in 100 deg afternoon. Good time to check the A/C! - rncordy

Sep 2018 - $1.00
While this park isn't the prettiest place ever, you just can't beat it for the price of FREE (donations encouraged, but even then, it's a screaming deal!) There are plenty of dry camping sites for all types of campers, both pull-through and back-in, in two loops separated by a 1/2-mile gravel road. The one in the back is a bit more private, but also has the daily fishing access lot, so might be noisier. We stayed in the front lot at the very back of the loop next to the river. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. There seemed to be a few "regulars" but everyone was quiet and polite. The roads were dusty, but most everyone was very respectful about driving slowly and keeping dust to a minimum. We had originally planned this to be just an overnight, but ended up staying 3 days because it was quiet, was an easy bike ride into the cute town which had everything you could need, and was close enough to Custer National Forest for some hiking. The park borders the city golf course which looked to be nice, as well. The restrooms at the front of the park offer flush toilets and there is water available in the park. We saw the local police drive through a few times on routine checks. The city does a good job of maintaining this park despite what has to be minimal funding, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. - Chasing Dirt
Aug 2017 - $5.00
Free campground, although donations are accepted. We had a pull-through which worked for us as we were just passing through and didn't want to unhook. The roads were dusty, probably because of the dry weather and not so much the fault of the campground. We would definitely stay here again on our way through, although we would pick a site not on the main campground road to avoid some of the dust from vehicles coming and going. Good little spot for a stop for the night. - Marsha D
Jul 2017 - $6.00
We were looking for a place to stop where we could get caught up on email, news, etc. after 2 hectic weeks in Teton/Yellowstone. We're self contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed on week days in mid-July in our 25 foot MH. This is a free CG run by the town (by volunteers) and we enjoyed our stay. The volunteers stopped by and were friendly. There are 2 sections to the CG. Enter via the upper CG to find sites arrayed in a large treed field. Follow a dirt road at the far end, past the golf course, and find the lower CG with sites arrayed mostly in the trees along the Yellowstone River. We stayed in the upper CG. The sites were mostly level with picnic tables, fire rings and firewood may be available for free. The sites were a mix of sun and shade. Many were quite large with some privacy. There's no wifi. There was reliable Verizon and ATT coverage that slowed temporarily in the early evening. There is a boat launch in the lower CG so there was a bit of car traffic in the early evening which stopped by 9pm and was not a problem. Trains did go through the town at night and did not keep us awake. The CG could use a little TLC, yet, it was a nice free place to stay. - dsvt

Jun 2017 - $24.00
Stayed for a week in June it was packed during the weekend and pretty much empty during the week. There is no cell phone (unless you have a booster) and no wi-fi. The place was clean and the people friendly. The gravel pad was mostly level. - Wandering With Us
Jul 2016 - $23.00
Nice park if you like HOT, no shade, silty lake, no showers, no dump station. Scenery great but only hookup available is electric and only on some sites. Outhouses stink bad. Wayyyyyy too hot for July and August!! Watch out for wind in afternoon. Blew our attached shade tent down, broke tension strap hooks and bent poles in half. Would only come here again if temps fall below 80. - PodnUs
Sep 2015 - $18.00
Understand what this place is - it's a state park that is "off the beaten path". I stayed at a non-electric site and tested out my new solar panels. During the week after Labor Day, it was very quiet.
The water front sites are truly water front (I stayed in Marshalls Cove) - a great place to bring a Kayak. There are also electric sites available. You will need to drive about 1 mile on a gravel, wash boarded road to get to Marshalls Cove. Longer if you want to get to the other campgrounds that comprise Cooney Dam Reservior. The place has a spirit of adventure about it. Phone service is limited to Fisherman's point - about 1 mile from Marshalls Cove. - alansills

Oct 2018 - $30.00
A nice place to stop for the night between Billings and Bozeman. The owner was the kindest, most welcoming woman I've ever met at an RV park. It's a tidy little place, very clean, with grass and a picnic table between sites. We have a 40-foot 5th wheel and maneuvered very easily despite the park's small size. We didn't use the bathroom, but the laundry room was immaculate. Bring quarters, there is no change machine. We borrowed a movie from the office and walked to the local saloon for dinner. Reed Point, population 96, is probably not a destination, but it sure was a nice place to spend the night. - Mkkoelzer
Sep 2018 - $32.00
This is a great park! Easy access, very clean bathrooms and great laundry room! The owner is so very nice, we just loved her. WIFI was good as was Verizon. The park is very neat and clean. The sites are gravel with grass in between. We would definitely camp here again. - nora
Aug 2018 - $35.00
Small park but very well kept. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The sites are very clean and roomy. Everything worked great, Wifi, cell, even had cable. The laundry room was immaculate. Loved this park and the little town. Would definitely stay again. - Cali girl

Sep 2013 - $1.00
This park is closed for the season and camping is prohibited by signs. The web site for the park shows it as open Memorial Day through Labor Day. The park is across the road from a large refinery and BNSF railroad. This review w ill say we camped in a motorhome, but we didn't stay at all. - Jay Rutherford
Aug 2010 - $12.00
There was 3 different pricings $12 for dry camping, $15 for electric only sites (said to be 3 but the one we found looked not safe for electric hookup) and $20 for electric/water site which was the majority of the sites. There was a shower house. We chose to dry camp. Said to be 7 day max stay, but some looked to have been there longer with their big fridges outside, workers with their campers and tents all laid out, there was no one attending the window once you finally find the office, shower house was not kept very clean, some of the ones staying there looked a little on the iffy side. We did not feel comfortable allowing the kids (15 12 10) to venture even to the shower house alone. We stayed here 2 nights 1 day out of necessity of a stop over but wouldn't stay there again. Did not feel safe walking to the shower house due to some of the people staying there. Guys and Girls going to the same side together and my son walked into the men room while a couple was doing their thing in the shower, not impressed esp. when they told him it was OK he could watch, fortunately my son (10) came back out. Park was quiet enough but wasn't willing to leave the rig unattended. - moosemama3
Jul 2009 - $15.00
We spent 5 nights here holed up over the 4th of July holiday. 30amp service and water for $15 a night. Lots of mosquitoes. The lots are irregular in size & layout, but they're OK. Some will easily take big rigs, some are pull through. Bathroom wasn't clean. There were 2 or 3 homeless individuals & families living there in tents or small older trailers, they were very nice & friendly, no problem. CG across the Yellowstone River from water treatment plant & refinery but no odors, a little noise. Some train traffic but not bad. - big greg
