Previous reviewers have said it all, beautiful grounds, level large sites, super clean facilities, friendly helpful staff. Close to everything and fantastic fishing. Downtown Ennis is a step back in time and hospitality. A place not to be missed. We camped at Ennis RV Village in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest RV parks we've been in. The park is located right off 287, with the entrance clearly marked, and easy to get into. There is a large area in front of the office for parking while checking in. This park is extremely clean, quiet, and well laid out. All of the roads are wide, gravel and without ruts or potholes. The sites are level gravel, and plenty wide. The pull-thrus are plenty long enough for a 45' coach and towed. Most of the sites face north, which provides afternoon shade so one can sit outside after a busy day, to enjoy a libation and some conversation. We found the staff friendly and helpful, and the office even had some baked goods, ice cream, and other items for sale. All the facilities were very clean and there are garbage cans, which are emptied often, conveniently placed around the park. The drive into Ennis, with it's restaurants, shopping, and a meat market, is a 5 minute drive, and world class fishing in the Madison river is nearby. A must see,Virginia City, is only a 20 minute drive away. We will definitely be back here again. We camped at Ennis RV Village in a Motorhome.

They really take care of the roads, lawns and welcome center. There are not a lot of sites for big rigs, but those sites were smashing. They were along the 'new' section where the views over a huge meadow and the mountains beyond was breathtaking. One of the finest places we have visited. What you should not miss is a trip to Virginia City which is a living historical town quite unlike anything I have ever seen. It is so alive and features the frontier past without the annoying t-shirt shops. This is the real deal. We camped at Ennis RV Village in a Motorhome.

Our go to park on our travels to Ennis. Staff is always very pleasant. Interior roads easy to navigate. The sites are long enough for any big rig and tow vehicle plus some. Utilities are well placed and have two sewer connections on each site to minimize having to use extensions. Bathrooms and laundry are very clean. Wi-Fi was good. No cable, and no antenna channels that we were able to find. The campground is nicely landscaped and has spectacular mountain views. We camped at Ennis RV Village in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

McAlisters Inn Steakhouse about 5 miles from the park is THE PLACE for steak, absolutely, melt-in-your-mouth delicious; and try the unbelievable au-gratin potatoes. How many restaurants have their own beef ranch? How many restaurants are located right on the ranch? Well...the cattle are grazing right behind this restaurant.

We stayed at Ennis RV Village for three nights while traveling between Idaho and our visit to the Tetons. The campground is along the Madison River and my husband was eager to get in some fly fishing. The CG is about 45 miles south of I-90 along US 287 and easy access from the main road. CG roads and sites are gravel and we were able to easily maneuver around the park with our 45ft motorhome with car attached. Sites are gravel with a small section of grass between sites and level. We were easily able to level the coach with our jacks. Utilities were mid site and worked well. Water pressure was good. We had good satellite reception and no OTA channels. Although the CG has Wi-Fi we were unable to connect at any point while we were there. We did not use the rest rooms or laundry so cannot comment on that. There is no defined dog park but there are large open, grassy areas to the east and north of the park where folks walked their dog. There is no playground area for kids. Campground staff were very friendly and helpful both on the phone and in person. The campground in general is well kept with metal art and flowers throughout. The views from the campground are wonderful, particularly to the east. We would definitely stay here in the future. We camped at Ennis RV Village in a Motorhome.

Agree with the prior review. Staff was very pleasant. Interior roads were easy to navigate in our 43' motorhome. Site was long enough for big rig and tow vehicle plus some. Utilities are well placed and actually had two sewer connections on each site to minimize having to use extensions. Wifi was good. No cable, but we had no trouble using our roof mounted satellite dish. Campground is well landscaped and has spectacular mountain views. A work camper told us the owner did his research and interviewed RVers extensively before he built the park, and he obviously got it right. We definitely would stay again. The owner & staff do much more than is required of them to accommodate guests. My thanks to them for their assistance. Doing that "little bit" more is what makes this park stand out. The park and facilities were always spotlessly clean and kept up. Try The baked goods, "mom's" quality. Definitely deserving of its rating. We camped at Ennis RV Village in a Truck Camper.

Easy to find. Staff very pleasant. Wide roads make it easy for big rigs to navigate. Long sites so you can keep your toad attached. Utilities are well placed and worked well. Wifi is very good. No cable, but there are few trees to interfere with the satellite. There is traffic noise. Campground has spectacular views. We only stayed one night while passing through, but I wish that I could have stayed longer. They have some pull in sites which gives you a spectacular view of the valley out of your windshield. I definitely would stay again. We camped at Ennis RV Village in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here for a week for the last 3 summers. Each visit was the same. The park is quiet even when full and extremely clean. The restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities are clean and well maintained. Worth noting: The park was recently expanded. The back section is very private with great views. We got to catch the Ennis 4th of July parade, rodeo, and fireworks at Virginia City last year. It was so much fun! We have done day trips to Yellowstone, fly fishing on the Madison, and trips to nearby Bozeman. The nearby Ennis Lyons Club park (right off the Madison) offers free fishing to children and it is stocked with brood trout that are the largest I have ever seen. My kids loved stalking the trout for hours in this pond. We camped at Ennis RV Village in a Travel Trailer.

Wonderful views, easy access and very helpful and friendly staff. Park was easy to navigate and well maintained. Utilities worked great. We had no OTA TV, but AT&T worked great. Restrooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained. Laundry was also very clean. The baked goods available in the office are really yummy! Would definitely stay here again. Virginia City and Nevada City are a must see; the town and people are amazing. There's a meat market in town (Deemo's) that's won a ton of awards - definitely worth the stop. There's plenty to do in the area and we hope to go back someday.

Great park all around! Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Especially enjoyed the space between rigs. A park that gets what it takes to make RV'ers happy! Great utilities and great wifi. The only negative was that our spot where the tree that would have provided evening shade was planted was empty. Location was good for town and exploring the area. Folks in the office helpful with all of our questions. The locals who camp there every year are very friendly. The best thing about the park....the baked goods offered for sale by a local baker. Tasty! Tasty! Oatmeal cookies to die for...should'a got more for the freezer. We camped at Ennis RV Village in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

McAllister was the offroad start for great mountian drives in the forrest. Lakes, horses, ranches, streams, and wide open spaces. Loved that part. Forrest service office in town has maps. Wade lake to the south was really beautiful and full of trout. Sight fishing at the North end on fly. Montanta has the most beautiful fly shops in the country and Ennis has three of them on the Main Street. Really impressive stores.

Just north of town. WATCH SPEED LIMITS as there were frequently drivers pulled over by PD. Park was very clean with good utilities. Good location with little road noise, a nearby fuel station and grocery. Laundry room was convenient and reasonable. There are a number of sunbirds from warmer places that spend their summers here. Tips for other Campers:

We visited Quake Lake, created by an earthquake resulting in a huge landslide. Worth the visit about 40 miles east. Lots of fly fishing along the river. We also visited Virginia City including the boardwalk downtown, ate a decent meal at the VC Cafe, attended the melodrama at the west end of town and laughed a lot, the Boot Hill cemetery, and Nevada City. All worthwhile.
