Great little park north of Libby on the river. Weak Verizon signal. Great views from front row. Big rig friendly. - heyduke50
Jul 2014 - $15.00
Friends invited us on a whim. Located at 6476 Lake Koocanusa Scenic Biway/Mt-37, 6 miles from Libby, Montana on the Kootenai River. Fishing is great. No laundry, no restrooms or showers. Daily CG happy hour on the bank of the river. 50AMP, water and sewer are well located on each site. Wi-Fi can be had at the office, phones mostly don't work and satellite TV is all you can get. Lots of grass and shade trees, level gravel sites and easy access to and from the highway. We will return when through the area. - SilverBear

Well, the best thing we can say about this place is the food in their restaurant was quite good, and in fact, a surprise, since the RV camping part of their business model was a poor effort at best. The unmown field (no roads to defined sites, just electric boxes and water faucets scattered in the grass) was rough to drive over. The bathrooms were primitive, dirty and uninviting. There was plenty of room, as there were only a half dozen other tenants. Leaving the rig hooked up was the better choice, but in fairness, we were favorably impressed with the FOOD . . . the menu was typical, but the evening special, with a local beer we never heard of, hit the spot. And several locals were eating with us in an attractive dining area next to the classic saloon space. Very few folks were there to drink, and it was a top notch family restaurant, set along Highway 37 a few miles northeast of Libby. - Red Moose
Jul 2006 - $19.00
Nice area to visit, but the park is run down and neglected. Just a big field to park in with power water and sewer. Sites are poorly marked and uneven. Bathrooms were filthy, wouldn't use them. Laundry room was dirty, and machines very old. The restaurant and saloon is the only redeeming quality for this park. Too bad, great views, and with a little effort would be a great place. - User53

Jul 2019 - $30.00
We stayed here for about 2 weeks in early July while looking around north western Montana. The electrical connections are somewhat dated but very serviceable. We had not seen fuse blocks in some time. The sites were large and level with the ground a combination of gravel and grass. The park managers are excellent to work with and very knowledgeable about the area. The laundry only had one washer and one dryer. The park is conveniently located close to Libby and there is a lot to see and do in the area. There is a lot of space to walk your dogs around and no pet fee. Great place, would stay again when in the area. - da_wanderer
Jul 2018 - $35.00
My 7/14 review gives a still fairly accurate, more detailed description of the park. We again had a gravel, level, pull through, FHU site with cable TV. It was also satellite friendly. The Wi-Fi was adequate for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The bathrooms (one for each sex) and laundry are clean. There is nothing recreational in the park, but that makes for a quiet park. I still don't see any recycling in the park. - Jerry S
Jun 2015 - $32.00
This is a basic campground, good for an overnight or for a few days.
The entrance road is concrete and full of potholes. The interior roads are on crushed rock and the sites are on a combination of grass and rocks. The sites are uneven, making it a little difficult to level. The pull-through sites were big rig friendly.
The utilities were on the appropriate side. All of the sites had full hookups, with back-in sites around the perimeter and pull-through sites in the center. There was 20/30/50 amp service and the voltage was good, hovering around 118 volts. All sites had a picnic table.
The bathrooms were clean but very dated. There were two showers per gender. Wi-Fi was available but we did not use it. Verizon air card and cell phone worked well here. There was (1) washer and (1) dryer in the ladies room costing $2 each. Pay at the front desk.
There was some train noise at night.
We would come back to this campground if we were in the area. We stayed at this campground with a 32 foot RV. - adsaxs

Aug 2018 - $10.00
This is an okay campground for a night while passing through. Sites are all dirt because of the forested area where no grass grows. The fee was high considering we got no utilities. Verizon MiFi, AT&T cell phone worked well. We viewed TV over the air since we were only here for one night. There's a really nice grocery store next to the campground if you want to do some shopping. Not sure we would stay here again because of the dirt and lack of electricity. - Bobbi1948
Aug 2016 - $10.00
Nice small park right in town in a park. Clean restrooms with flush toilets. No showers. Water available and dump station on site. Most sites are smaller but sites 8 and 15 both could handle a 40' motorhome. Right behind the local grocery store you can walk to. The deli in the store has free Wi-Fi. - jprisbe
Aug 2008 - $10.00
This campground is a City Park. It is located half-mile west of Junction 2 and SR 37 right behind the Kootenai Chamber of Commerce and Rousauers Grocery Store. It is dry camping; water available in the park to fill tanks; RV dump is $3 and only open 8-10am and 6-8pm. Shaded. Right next to a nice city park and cemetery. There is a host on site. A good, safe place for an overnight stay. - adsaxs

This park is nice but you really need to be careful here because Libby MT has been a superfund site for many years. Even as recently as 2018 articles are still being posted about the citizens of this cute little town dying from asbestos poisoning which doesn’t break down quickly in the environment. - vmcintee
Sep 2019 - $35.00
Very nice RV park. It's old and the roads are gravel, etc, but it's well maintained. Lots of big trees, which added to the charm. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Great location to town and easy access from highway. The negatives are: poor wifi and no security....lock things up. The river side of the park is a creek at best. But it was a dry bed when I was there. And, none of the sites are really "on the water" where you can sit and see it. - Bruce of Port Ludlow
Sep 2019 - $39.00
Check-in was very easy and we were guided into pull through site 33 with FHUs for our 1 night stay on the way to Glacier National Park. Water pressure was very good as was the cable with 69 channels and the internet. We also got solid Verizon coverage. Since we were there the Tuesday after Labor Day the park was not very crowded and was quiet. Space between sites was better than we expected for this type of park. US-2 is near the park entrance but we did not hear very much road noise. There were trains but they were off in the distance so not disturbing. Libby is a very nice little town with a couple of grocery stores etc. We got diesel at the gas station on the east side of town that was a couple of cents cheaper than the station on the west side. When we are in the area we would definitely stay here again and for a longer time to take in all this area has to offer. - MK_Willi

We have stayed at this Park for 20 years. It has clean washrooms and laundry facilities and is only five minutes from Lake Kookanusa. Wide treed sites, but still able to get Satellite TV with a portable Dish. The owner has done a lot of work to spruce up this Park and improve the looks of it in the last few years. - Don1943
Aug 2010 - $17.00
Nice space between units, as wide as 25'. So nice to have some privacy. Most with some shade. Central rest rooms and showers I would rate a 7. Only 1 older permanent trailer on site that is not a mess as of 2009. Very quiet at night and nice place to walk your dog at the edge of park. - lolomontanaguy
Jul 2010 - $25.00
This park is a freakin' joke. We stayed here for one night and still joke about how bad of a park it was. It was infested with ground hornets, had unlevel sites that were wet and soggy due to a running hose near by. We wouldn't let our kids go into the rec room because it looked like you know what kind of setup, and there was no chance at satellite signal. I wouldn't dare use their facilities. The only thing this park was good for was a good laugh in retrospect. We would sleep in a car in the circle k parking lot before we stayed here again. So trashy. - pbcomer
