This is an easy stop while traveling on Rt 93. The electric and water were centrally located, but the sewer needed an extension. The sites were level and you actually pulled onto the grass for your site, somewhat unusual. The wifi, AT & T, and antenna worked just fine. Workampers were on site and very helpful with local information. We camped at Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We only spent one night in this campground but I could have easily stayed longer. The park is very clean and beautiful and the area scenic. The hosts were very nice. We camped at Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Beautiful, immaculate grounds. Everything was perfect. Peaceful. The owners are wonderful people. Loved it so much, going back next year for two months - from Florida. We camped at Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We spent part of 4 days at the Arlee Celebration (Pow Wow), an amazing event that happens annually over July 4th. Missoula and Flathead Lake are interesting. The National Bison Range, Nine Pipes Museum, Peoples' Center Kerr Dam are all nearby and wonderful.

Small park, big value. About 23 RV sites, plus some tenting. We felt the sites were a bit close together, but had no trouble opening our awning, slide, etc. Well maintained & level grass sites - we barely had to adjust anything for perfect level. There is a communal fire pit that was not being used during our stay due to extreme fire danger warnings - otherwise, we think that would have been a fun way to gather everyone for a campfire. There is some road noise from Rt. 93 but nothing that kept us awake. Our biggest "Pros"? Amazing wi-fi that actually allowed us to stream an MLB game without difficulty, and the absolutely easiest laundry we have ever done. One front-loading washer and dryer pair in the office, pay the owner (no hassling with quarters), and just leave it there and then go back. No sitting and waiting, no worries. The owners are super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. We used this as a base for St. Ignatius, 1,000 Buddhas, and the awesome National Bison Range. We camped at Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Be aware the National Bison Range Visitor Center is closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays! You can still drive through the park, but we were disappointed not to be able to view the displays. Budget cuts, apparently.

Overall Rating:

This park is close to the highway, has tight spaces and has great owners. Our site was just enough for our 40' RV, the tow was angled parked to stay in the site. Spacing between sites was thin however they have small plants screening sewer ports. The access is excellent and interior roads are gravel surface and wide enough to maneuver. The park was clean and well maintained. The owners held mail for us until our arrival and had a lot of local info to share. The sites are close to highway 93 and there is road noise. It wasn't a problem except for an occasional truck engine brake. The hookups were good and worked well. Wifi was a problem. It disconnected constantly and was not usable. AT&T signal was excellent. We camped at Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bison Range is great, no charge with interagency pass. St. Ignatius has a Amish store with bulk items. The mission has amazing artwork and still has Sunday mass. Smokejumpers center in Missoula, about 50 mile drive, is a great tour for kids and adults. No charge, takes about an hour and you will have an appreciation for the commitment they have. Ronan is walking distance from the campground, has a movie house with recent movies too.

Very convenient with wonderful owners. Park is well maintained and the owners can give great tips on what to see. TV reception was good and AT&T worked great. Some road noise, but nothing major. We stayed here for a few days on the way to Glacier National Park - was a good stopover location. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

St. Ignatius mission is a must see! It's bigger than one would expect and the artwork and history is amazing. Bison range is close. Would have liked to stay a few more days so we could have visited Missoula and Thompson Falls.

Very clean, nicely-maintained park. Good gravel interior roads; level, fairly roomy grass sites with shade trees. Located just off Hwy. 93, so there's some road noise. TV reception and working WiFi. They prefer you not walk your dogs inside the park, but there is a large, grass pet walk around the outside perimeter of park. We would stay here again. Rate reflects a monthly stay. Very nice RV park, just on the north border of Ronan. Electric was very steady, water pressure 40PSI, wifi worked well enough for the basics, checking news, email, light surfing, shopping etc. Spaces are close, but there is room to sit outside and a picnic table/bench at each site. You are not right on top of your neighbor. Owners are on site and very active in the park. Constantly working to clean, and keep things neat and pretty. They are very pleasant, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the area. Good point to stay outside the "hussle zone" of more northern areas around Glacier NP area. Do make reservations, this park is full every night. Campground is quiet. Sites are grass and well maintained. There is a washer/dryer in the office, $2.00 per. We did not visit the restrooms or showers. Office is happy to receive mail and packages for you while you're out touring. We enjoyed our stay here and would love to visit again. Town of Ronan and surrounding area has plenty to keep you busy. We camped at Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Ronan has a nice museum, paved walking path in town. Ninepipes Museum and National Bison Range well worth visit. Pizza Café has good food, they have a DQ and MacD's. Very nice Walmart in Polson, about 10 miles. The drive around Flathead lake is beautiful. Glacier is about 80 miles, easy day trip. The town of Thompson Falls is worth a visit for the dam, walking bridges and Old Jail House Museum. Missoula is 50 miles south, Smokejumpers Museum is a great tour and museum.

Our site (18) was so tight that we could not open our awning fully, and there was no incentive to sit outside on the grass because we'd be staring at our neighbor's rig and the front grill of his truck, parked just a few feet away. There are no picnic tables at these sites either. We drive a 36' motor home and tow a Jeep, but the people who have trucks and big fifth wheels have no adequate space to park, with the result being our situation above. There was a strong Verizon signal there, and the woman in the office was friendly and helpful. Water pressure was not great. The road noise from route 93 was considerable, even at night. We would not choose to come here again. We camped at Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

The National Bison Range is a short drive away. Went early in the morning and saw 60-70 Bison, Elk, Mule Deer, Pronghorn and a coyote. Well worth the trip, was on the Range 5 hours - the entrance cost is $5.

New owners are very nice and aim to please. Sites are close but easy to get in and out of. Just off the highway but quiet at night. We were able to use WiFi as we were close to the office.
