Jul 2019 - $51.00
The campground is perfect for exploring Virginia City and the area. The new owners have completely redone everything in the park. Gravel sites with new picnic tables and grills/firepits. One of the better places we have been this 3 month long trip. - DavidBama
Aug 2017 - $38.00
Common areas were watered but the sites did not have any grass. Sites were so close I could see into the neighbor's rig on one side and the other side had the sewer and water hookups in our yard. We could not use our picnic table due to proximity. All sites were pull-through. - Betsy_02
Jul 2017 - $40.00
Old KOA that has seen better days. Run down facilities. New owner is slowly repairing and upgrading. Sites are too close together. Sites are gravel, level with minimal shade. No pool or club house. Small store. Staff was courteous and friendly. WIFI weak, ATT weak, Verizon good, no cable. Pricey for what is offered, but acceptable. - Pacatrader

Stayed for a week in a upper level shelf space. Great views, saw wild turkeys & deer. Space was flat and fairly level. This parking loop was mostly for truck campers & very small rigs. New owners are diligently working to get the park up to their standards. Very friendly and helpful owners. Great access to local Montana tourist areas. Very quiet at night w/spectacular star gazing. One of the cleanest parks I've been in. - Karit1

The Rambling Moose Campground was previously called the Virginia City RV Park. There are new and highly motivated owners who are very friendly, helpful, and full of plans to make this park exceptional. The rest rooms and free showers are spotless, there is a laundry facility available, and the WiFi was great. We were in spot 10, the last pull-through up the hill, so it was a small space and all the rigs made their turn around us, but it was okay for a couple nights. If we were going to stay longer I'd ask for one of the back-in spaces off to the side of the main road through the campground. The park is right next to the highway into town, but it's silent at night. We'd recommend this campground to anyone traveling in the area. It's a quick drive into Virginia City, and there are other places to explore nearby as well. A great spot. - sail2blue

Previous reviewers have said it all, beautiful grounds, level large sites, super clean facilities, friendly helpful staff. Close to everything and fantastic fishing. Downtown Ennis is a step back in time and hospitality. A place not to be missed. - Tahoetom

Jul 2019 - $35.00
This is one of the nicest RV parks we've been in. The park is located right off 287, with the entrance clearly marked, and easy to get into. There is a large area in front of the office for parking while checking in. This park is extremely clean, quiet, and well laid out. All of the roads are wide, gravel and without ruts or potholes. The sites are level gravel, and plenty wide. The pull-thrus are plenty long enough for a 45' coach and towed. Most of the sites face north, which provides afternoon shade so one can sit outside after a busy day, to enjoy a libation and some conversation. We found the staff friendly and helpful, and the office even had some baked goods, ice cream, and other items for sale. All the facilities were very clean and there are garbage cans, which are emptied often, conveniently placed around the park. The drive into Ennis, with it's restaurants, shopping, and a meat market, is a 5 minute drive, and world class fishing in the Madison river is nearby. A must see,Virginia City, is only a 20 minute drive away. We will definitely be back here again. - glenstmary
Sep 2018 - $35.00
Small park, most sites have shade, the owners are very helpful, the bathrooms have been remodeled, they also have a very nice laundry room. The park is in down town Ennis. The WIFI is the best we have ever encountered there is no OTA Television so we were able to stream HuLu, Verizon cell service is good. - Tfrout
Jul 2017 - $40.00
My husband and I can highly recommend this relatively small park with good facilities and friendly hosts. We were impressed that the bathrooms and laundry facilities were both recently updated and very clean. The park is very well located, within easy walking distance of the main street, restaurants and shops. The spaces are a little narrow but with a lot of trees that offer friendly shade in summertime. The lawn is well cared for and green. There is good wifi but no cable. We stayed here for nine days. - Barbara from Austin
Sep 2016 - $45.00
This is a clean, quiet park. Sites are rather short, narrow, near-level, shady gravel, separated by wide strips of grass and trees. In Autumn, many leaves will fall on your rig. Each site has a picnic table. Voltage is good. There's plenty of room to maneuver.
Verizon LTE works well.
WiFi is strong; I measured 1565.9 kB/s down.
No terrestrial broadcast TV or VHF weather radio.
Laundry: 2 top-loaders ($1.50), 2 dryers ($1.50).
There are 4 clean private showers for the park, but no shower curtains.
Staff are friendly and helpful. - wjzcbn
Aug 2016 - $38.00
This is a very small RV park located just as you enter Ennis from the south. There are no restrooms, showers, or cable but there is 50 amp, water and sewer. This park is hidden gem and is only a couple of blocks from 'downtown' Ennis and a nice Lions Club park is next door with access to the Madison River and several paved paths with benches and picnic tables scattered though it. There is also a small playground and fishing pond for kids. The only reason I did not give it a 10 was because of the lack of restrooms, showers, and cable. The sites are not large but it is usually not full and there are some seasonal sites for workers in the area. We will stay there again when we're in the area. We have a 36' RV. - KarenS144
Jul 2015 - $32.00
This is a great spot for a short stay. Nice people and a few shade trees. The view was pretty good and it is very close to town. - carold
Aug 2013 - $30.00
The RV park is located within walking distance of the charming town of Ennis and next to a great city park. The city park was great for dogs and has access to the famous Madison river. There are some picnic tables and a charcoal grill available but no fire pits. Owners are very friendly and helped my wife lower our awning while I was fishing. Great place. Note there are no showers or restrooms. - bugsy
