Sep 2018 - $5.00
This is a very large campground that is divided into three loops, A & C on the north side of the highway, and G loop on the south side of the highway. All are accessed through the rest area at Mile Post 58, with signs pointing the way. A & C loops are additionally accessed through a 14' culvert tunnel -- it is 14' at the apex, the sides are rounded. We made it through with our Newmar Dutch Star, which is 13' (we would not have attempted it had G loop been open as we were assured it was by the ranger when I called the day prior.) The A loop was similarly closed, but on a walk-through we saw that it had pull-throughs as well as back-ins. We ended up in C16, which was a paved level site with plenty of room for our rig and toad. All sites had a picnic table and fire ring. There are fresh water spigots and bear-proof food lockers located throughout the park.
For as large as this place is, it is lightly used, and there were only a few others campers around, with plenty of space between all of us. Being on the highway, there is plenty of road noise.
The pay station is located at the front of loops A & C, $10 (no hookups; cash only) and $5 for Access Pass, etc. There is also a nice, clean restroom by the pay station with a flush toilet, real mirror, and electrical outlet. Just across the road is the main garbage can shelter, well fenced and secured for bears. This area is well-lit at night; the rest of the park is dark.
There is a 1/2-mile interpretive nature trail located off the back of C loop with explanatory brochures in the boxes at either end.
For the price, this was an excellent one-night stopover. - Chasing Dirt

Surprising campground when you pull off at an Interstate rest area. Very spacious, site level. You can camp on either side of I by using the one lane tunnel under the highway. My suggestion, camp on the north side of highway, further away from railroad. Nice trail on northern side goes down near river. Roadways are great for walking dogs. I'm tagging this campground for an overnight when we head out west again next summer. - ranierguy

Access is from Rest Areas at Mile Post 58 of I-90, either direction. One part of the campground is on the north side of I-90, and the other part is on the south side. Westbound has access to Loops A and B; eastbound has access to loop G. There is a tunnel under I-90 which lets you go between the two parts of the campground, but I was warned by the volunteer attendant that the clearance is tight and so I did not try it. There are many water spigots along the roads and they have threaded connections for a temporary hose connection. Use of the Dump Station is $2.00. There are 6 pullthrus on loop A, plus many deep easy back in sites on loops A, C, and G. All are heavily shaded by huge ponderosa pines which are beautiful and also dampen most of the highway noise. Loop G has a railroad track nearby which occasional train noise. - JackSchmotzer
Aug 2016 - $15.00
Nice USFS campground with two loops. No services at site. All loops and spurs were nice asphalt. Fire ring and picnic table at site. Good cell service available. Very nice campground for USFS, from our experience. Sits right on Clark Fork River. Only downsides were road noise from I-90 and train horns at all hours due to nearby grade crossing. All in all a very nice and cheap place to camp. Camp hosts very friendly and helpful, offering some complimentary firewood. - Stax
Aug 2014 - $5.00
Shady NFS campground with huge, very private paved sites. Some situated on the Clark Fork River. Water spigots throughout the campground. No dump. Good cellular. Only negative is the traffic noise. Price reflects senior pass. Would stay here again. - mockturtle

Very nice park, primarily occupied by full timers. Very pleasant for a one night stay. Would definitely use again. - David642
Sep 2018 - $45.00
We stayed in our 38' motorhome. Our site was level and utilities worked fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy access to highway. Only complaint was there was a tree very close to the entrance to the site. It made getting into with our toad a bit tight, but the guy who escorted us to the site gave great directions. Did not use the facilities or the WiFi. AT&T worked great. Would stay here again, but in a different site. - TheWanderingRVer
Sep 2018 - $45.00
Easy on and off I-90 but far enough away so you don't hear the freeway. Park road to entrance is paved then goes to firm dust free gravel....Nice. Majority of sites are pull thru which are long and wide. The sites are hard packed gravel, no dust and level. Almost all have a nice grassy treed area for a patio, larger than others. Our site 66 was huge and we walked across access road to one of the 4 trails that are cut and maintained through the forest. Large Meadow for frisbee golf or dog play. Pool was heated nice and clean. This is one of the nicest parks we've visited. Would definitely return. - mso
Aug 2018 - $42.00
Good overall experience. Access to the park was easy, a few turns to a frontage road adjacent to the interstate. The only tight spot for us was going behind the office. There is a pole to protect the corner of the building and it makes for a tight squeeze. If your site is to the left, no problems. Sites vary in size, the big rig sites are spacious. Utilities are well placed and worked as expected. The check in was quick. The host provided us with good local information. Wifi worked and cell service was good. The pool looked good, we didn't use it though. - DJR CMR
Aug 2018 - $36.00
The park is well located, clean and the owners are very friendly and helpful. We stayed to get out of the smoke around Glacier Park and we're not disappointed. - Rick Partridge
Jul 2018 - $32.00
This is a very neat , clean well maintained rv park near the Interstate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife took pictures of the many pictures of the carved wooden bears around the park. 50 amp W/e on a level gravel site with partial shade at a reasonable rate with wifi that worked ; near perfect for an overnight. We did not use pool , restrooms , etc. There was a little noise from the hwy but we expect that if we want to stay close to internet. I did not use dump station because the turn was to tight for me to make but it was not essential for me to dump. I was here in a 40'MH w/toad. I would stay here again. - JAWS
Apr 2017 - $4.00
We stayed here in an Aliner folding trailer for 2 nights in early September while bicycling the Hiawatha. It's not far from the freeway, but quiet and uncrowded. The outhouses are the basic USFS variety and were clean. The sites are level and widely-spaced. There is a nice nature trail from the campground. Because our trailer is small we didn't explore the left-hand loop, which I believe has some spots for larger RV's. I'm sure we'll stay there again. - User2873
Nov 2018 - $34.00
Stayed here overnight. Nice little park next to a restaurant. Staff was very friendly and allowed us to change sites. The highway was noisy and there are train tracks across the river. Would stay here overnight again. - KingFisher2
Sep 2018 - $34.00
Not a destination, good for an overnight stay on the way to somewhere else, very tight access, sites are barely level and all dirt, good over OVA television, WIFI only at the Bar. Bathrooms are dated but clean, laundry was just ok, we stayed a week but would not stay again. - Tfrout
Aug 2018 - $35.00
We couldn't find a site anywhere in Missoula but we found this little gem of a campground. It is very shady and located right beside the Clark Fork river. The sites are gravel with large green areas between. They offer 30 amp only. The restaurant was great. There is also a nice bar and a gaming room. The downside is the train tracks across the river with frequent trains (though they don't blow their horns) and the close proximity to Hwy 90. The roads are tight but we managed to maneuver our 41 ft motorhome to our site without unhooking our tow vehicle. I highly recommend it for an overnight or longer stay. - DonnaZ2018
