Aug 2018 - $36.00
Stayed for a week in a upper level shelf space. Great views, saw wild turkeys & deer. Space was flat and fairly level. This parking loop was mostly for truck campers & very small rigs. New owners are diligently working to get the park up to their standards. Very friendly and helpful owners. Great access to local Montana tourist areas. Very quiet at night w/spectacular star gazing. One of the cleanest parks I've been in. - Karit1
Aug 2018 - $40.00
The Rambling Moose Campground was previously called the Virginia City RV Park. There are new and highly motivated owners who are very friendly, helpful, and full of plans to make this park exceptional. The rest rooms and free showers are spotless, there is a laundry facility available, and the WiFi was great. We were in spot 10, the last pull-through up the hill, so it was a small space and all the rigs made their turn around us, but it was okay for a couple nights. If we were going to stay longer I'd ask for one of the back-in spaces off to the side of the main road through the campground. The park is right next to the highway into town, but it's silent at night. We'd recommend this campground to anyone traveling in the area. It's a quick drive into Virginia City, and there are other places to explore nearby as well. A great spot. - sail2blue

This is a tired old KOA a little down on it's heels. However, the new owner is fixing it up. The new "big rig" section is awesome --- level grassy sites with picinc tables, gravel pads, solid 50 amp FHU's and reasonably fast wifi. The campground is fairly close to the main hwy, but we didn't hear a single vehicle all night. I am a licensed contractor and repair shower control valves all the time. It took me forever to figure out how to get hot water in the shower (crank the knob four full turns counter clockwise until it stops, then dial it back about 1/8 a turn). Plenty of hot water after that. - whizbang
Jul 2019 - $51.00
The campground is perfect for exploring Virginia City and the area. The new owners have completely redone everything in the park. Gravel sites with new picnic tables and grills/firepits. One of the better places we have been this 3 month long trip. - DavidBama
Aug 2017 - $38.00
Common areas were watered but the sites did not have any grass. Sites were so close I could see into the neighbor's rig on one side and the other side had the sewer and water hookups in our yard. We could not use our picnic table due to proximity. All sites were pull-through. - Betsy_02
Sep 2018 - $35.00
Small park, most sites have shade, the owners are very helpful, the bathrooms have been remodeled, they also have a very nice laundry room. The park is in down town Ennis. The WIFI is the best we have ever encountered there is no OTA Television so we were able to stream HuLu, Verizon cell service is good. - Tfrout
Jul 2017 - $40.00
My husband and I can highly recommend this relatively small park with good facilities and friendly hosts. We were impressed that the bathrooms and laundry facilities were both recently updated and very clean. The park is very well located, within easy walking distance of the main street, restaurants and shops. The spaces are a little narrow but with a lot of trees that offer friendly shade in summertime. The lawn is well cared for and green. There is good wifi but no cable. We stayed here for nine days. - Barbara from Austin
Sep 2016 - $45.00
This is a clean, quiet park. Sites are rather short, narrow, near-level, shady gravel, separated by wide strips of grass and trees. In Autumn, many leaves will fall on your rig. Each site has a picnic table. Voltage is good. There's plenty of room to maneuver.
Verizon LTE works well.
WiFi is strong; I measured 1565.9 kB/s down.
No terrestrial broadcast TV or VHF weather radio.
Laundry: 2 top-loaders ($1.50), 2 dryers ($1.50).
There are 4 clean private showers for the park, but no shower curtains.
Staff are friendly and helpful. - wjzcbn
Sep 2019 - $28.00
Wonderful staff clean little park. We were very happy to find this place on our way to Yellowstone - Hot1invegas
Aug 2016 - $38.00
This is a very small RV park located just as you enter Ennis from the south. There are no restrooms, showers, or cable but there is 50 amp, water and sewer. This park is hidden gem and is only a couple of blocks from 'downtown' Ennis and a nice Lions Club park is next door with access to the Madison River and several paved paths with benches and picnic tables scattered though it. There is also a small playground and fishing pond for kids. The only reason I did not give it a 10 was because of the lack of restrooms, showers, and cable. The sites are not large but it is usually not full and there are some seasonal sites for workers in the area. We will stay there again when we're in the area. We have a 36' RV. - KarenS144
Jul 2015 - $32.00
This is a great spot for a short stay. Nice people and a few shade trees. The view was pretty good and it is very close to town. - carold
Oct 2019 - $45.00
Great well maintained park. Convenient off the highway, but back far enough to be quiet. Spotless bathrooms and showers. Easy to navigate, gravel roads and pads. A park like feel and beautiful view of the mountains. - whizbang
Sep 2019 - $21.00
Previous reviewers have said it all, beautiful grounds, level large sites, super clean facilities, friendly helpful staff. Close to everything and fantastic fishing. Downtown Ennis is a step back in time and hospitality. A place not to be missed. - Tahoetom
Aug 2019 - $37.00
.Excellent RV Park. This is just what we desire in a park. Very well laid out, Nice level long pull through gravel sites with well maintained grassy areas on each side, picnic table and no fire pits (good), FHUs 50 amp. Good WiFi connectionBeautiful scenery. Reasonable price. - JAWS
Jul 2019 - $35.00
Great little RV Park, basically a diamond in the rough. Very friendly owner and work campers. All services worked great including strong WiFi. We would recommend this park. The only reason for not rating the park a "10", seasonal guests, including a work camper, who makes sure you follow the rules, allow their dogs to roam free. So watch where you step especially in the parking area also if you don't won't your property peed on don't leave anything out. This is allowed even though the posted rules state leash requirements. If you have pets, then when these dogs are roaming they will be in your yard to check out your pet. - cepelfrey
Oct 2018 - $25.00
This is a nice, clean RV park with a small store, and restaurant with bar. Small, clean laundry room. We drove to Yellowstone and the drive wasn't bad and the scenery was great. Plenty of areas to walk dogs, and nice view of mountains. - retirednrving
Jul 2017 - $35.00
New owners have had the park 1 1/2 years. Nice folks. Clean park with grass and trees. Best WiFi I've seen this year, anywhere! They are putting $ and labor into upgrades. Good bar, nice cafe/restaurant and store. More groceries than most RV stores carry. I'd stay here again and recommend it without hesitation. - grsimpson
