We had confirmed reservations for this park; however, we were unable to make our final turn to get to the park without passing under a 13'6" bridge. Since we have a 13'6" 5th wheel, we couldn't chance it. I called the park and was told that that is the only way to get to the park. The gal who took my call was very nice and told me she understood and would process the refund of our deposit. Thinking I must have missed something, I reread the information provided on the park's Internet page and lots of reviews to see if this issue was mentioned. Nowhere could I find anything suggesting that the only way to the park included passing under a low clearance bridge. In fairness, we tow the tallest rig you can legally haul. Most RVers won't have to worry about that height. But some do, and the park should disclose that up front. Don't plan to stay here if you won't drive under a bridge with a clearance of 13'6". We camped at West Glacier RV Park and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Young park so shrubbery and trees are immature. Planted nicely however, so when they do, they shouldn't interfere with parking or slides on the rigs. Free internet that seemed to work well. Several very clean bathhouses scattered throughout the park. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Clean laundry room with 10 washers and dryers. Well stocked store with sundries and gifts. Walking distance to the town of West Glacier via a nice bike path. Cafe, mercantile, fueling station, small sporting good store, gift shop, post office and more. Park is convenient as it very close to the park entrance. We camped at West Glacier RV Park and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is new and beautiful but they cleared all of the trees to create the park and the new trees are very small, so it feels somewhat barren. The pads are gravel and not level, which is surprising given how new and expensive this place is. Most rigs had to use leveling blocks. There was rain overnight and tons of huge muddy puddles everywhere, so they could have done a better job grading and creating better drainage. With that said, the wifi was the fastest I've ever seen it, the location is walking distance from the front of the park and to the village, which has all kinds of food and supplies. The spaces were spread out and very long (mine was 60' for my little 22' trailer and SUV). We camped at West Glacier RV Park and Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

This was our favorite park in a great location, right off of Going-To-The-Sun road where you enter the park on the west glacier side, but close to the main road so you can go to restaurants, stores, etc. It's brand new and well designed. All pull through gravel with good size lots, big enough to handle any rig. We had a corner lot so had a little extra space too (37). Large and clean laundry facility, clean restrooms, well maintained lots. The outer lots, where we were, have a view of the woods. Lots are new so trees on the lots are small still, so no shade, but that was fine as it's pretty cool even in August when we were there. Each lot has a picnic table and fire pit and, of course, full hookups. While there is a train that comes by occasionally on the other side of the woods, it wasn't very loud and wouldn't wake us up. But, it is expensive. $600 for the week. We camped at West Glacier RV Park and Cabins in a Motorhome.

This RV park is great. It's new as of summer of 2019. For a private RV park the sites are spacious...we stayed on an end site with even more room. All large pull through sites with full hookups. There is a bike path that goes into the village of West Glacier which is all owned by the same company the RV park is and has all amenities minus diesel fuel and major groceries. West glacier village via path - .3 of a mile Glacier NP Apgar entrance - 1/2 a mile The best part about staying at this park. You are so close to the entrance of the park you can come and go in the park as you please. Cons - no shade but will get better as trees that were planted grow. Also close to train tracks... however the trains never woke us up at night. We camped at West Glacier RV Park and Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $97.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 nights end of July. Employees were all friendly and helpful. The campground is brand new. There are no large trees for shade and grass has not yet really taken hold. The sites are long and easy to pull into but be cautious of boulders they have by utilities. Things we liked about park is the location. Very near glacier entrance, rafting and the small downtown area of west glacier. Also the park has a nice laundry area. Things we did not like was the train that comes by many times Day and night. We also encountered a issue with showers. I went for a shower in the evening around 7 and one of the two shower stalls was dirty and there was a empty shampoo bottle still in stall. I went ahead and used the second stall and left. I went back the next morning for a shower before we were going to leave and the shower was still dirty, shampoo bottle and all. Not sure how often showers are being cleaned, but obviously had not been in that 14 hour span. Also be aware that the park is very dog friendly and they might need to adjust the rules as to where dogs can be in the park. I prefer to not have them in the restroom but people were bringing their pets in when I was there. We camped at West Glacier RV Park and Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Brand New Park. We stayed just after opening on July of 2019. Spacious open park close to the entrance of West Glacier National Park and West Glacier Village. While more costly than other area parks, we will definitely return. We camped at West Glacier RV Park and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

This only opened Jul 1, 2019, but it is a great place. Cost is comparative to the area and very close to the West Glacier Park entrance. You can walk, bike, or drive in. There is West Glacier Village as you come into the area with many stores, restaurants, bank, and activities. There are cabins and motels in the area as well. The park has full hookups, laundry, camp store, bathrooms, showers, and more. Lots for RVs are 60 and 80 foot. Trees in the park are small but should be great shade in 5 years. The park sites in a small area like a valley with trees and mountains surrounding it. You can walk to West Glacier from the park and enjoy the activities. The staff are wonderful and help all they can. This is a must stop area. We camped at West Glacier RV Park and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Great RV Park! They have 105 lots which are either 65 ft or 80 ft in length. It’s only been open since July 1. We camped at West Glacier RV Park and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Utilities are wonderful. Heck, it's brand new, so they should be. WiFi very good. However, the value for the money isn't there. Yes, it is convenient, West Glacier is a walk away). And the roads are paved. But for this money I would expect a concrete patio. Instead the RV pad is gravel and the outside living area is grass (of course right now it is mud, as the grass is just the sprayed on, not sodded). Also, be aware that they didn't do a great job of managing the drainage, and a lot of rain will make the place a mud/waterlogged space. Another weird note... They used huge rocks to protect the utilities. If your slide outs are low, then you will have to park way over on the pad to miss them. This reduces the pad width size, and therefore the graveled space. So, you will be using the mud/grass outside living area more. I love that the pad/patio area is really wide (neighbors are a very acceptable distance away) and the sites are very long. Ours is 80' long. Excellent. Sewer connection well done, but the cap surround is concrete and it inhibits our hose elbow from being secure. So we used rocks to anchor. There isn't a dedicated dog space, but the perimeter is (or will be) grass. It had (has) the possibility of being a 5 star park. But at this price, they need to do some work to it. We camped at West Glacier RV Park and Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a new RV park, we are going to stay 7/11 for 7 nights. When we called, the reservation agent was so friendly and helpful. She told us about different areas to visit in Glacier National Park and helped us set up some activities when we are there. We're excited to stay in a new park and will be sure to leave another comment once we've stayed! It's hard to find a spot near Glacier, and we were so happy to be able to have gotten one!! We camped at West Glacier RV Park and Cabins in a Motorhome.
