We were unable to find a campground in Yellowstone so opted for Grizzly which is located near the West Entrance to the park. This place is excellent. Well kept, well run, very pleasant. We were very happy here & will return. Cost is a negative but it was so good that we are happy we splurged for 3 days. Used the laundry, walked into downtown, went out to sightsee daily. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Grand Prismatic Spring is spectacular. Park @ Midway Geyser Basin & hike up to the overlook for nearby Grand Prismatic. It is best viewed from above but the walk around near the Spring is interesting as well. Beryl Spring, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone on the way to Tower Roosevelt, Mammoth Hot Springs. All are on the circle drive beginning just north of Madison Junction. If you go to see Old Faithful, park near the post office & Old Faithful Inn rather than in the designated parking area for the geiser. Space is abundant.

Fantastic location - immaculate Park. Super friendly staff. No wood fires allowed. Very expensive, but we would come back. Had a premium pull-thru. ~ Passport American not available during the summer months. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Many of the sites have trees blocking satellite reception. And for big rigs, some of the branches from trees might hit the top and side of your coach. If you see a problem when you pull in, ask to have them trimmed. Sites are narrow. Wi-fi is fair but Verizon works well. Extremely popular campground so reserve at least 6 months in advance to get the type of site you want. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Only a couple of blocks from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. You can walk to town. There is a great home made ice cream place close to the main intersection of town.

Staff- This is a large campground with a lot of people coming and going daily .When we arrived there were enough people on duty to make the check in wheels turn quickly. All were friendly and helpful. Location- This campground is ~1 mile from the west gate of Yellowstone. I looked at two others that were a bit closer and this one by far was the nicest. Park Maintenance- The common areas were cleaned multiple times a day. The laundry room in the section we stayed in had virtually new equipment. The bathhouse was clean and modern. Campsite- The site was nicely landscaped and of average size for a private campground. It had a well groomed gravel surface that required minimal leveling. The lots provide enough space to park both travel trailer and tow vehicle without intervening with your neighbors egress. Overall very nice. I highly recommend this park. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Our site was supposed to be 60-70 feet long and I doubt it was even 60 feet. The mosquitoes are killer and more numerous than you can imagine. Next to us for a few nights was a mini van. Not a conversion van. A regular mini van that was nothing even resembling an RV or camper. Couldn't believe the park allowed them to "camp." Also had a bad encounter with the only RV washing company the park allows. Quoted one price, then expected payment that was more than double the price quoted. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

This is one of the nicest RV parks we have stayed in. This was our second time here and we will be back. The staff is great and accommodating. It is easy access to Yellowstone national park and the town is very quaint and has everything you might need. Book far in advance as they are very busy during the peak season. Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park - West Yellowstone, Montana. We spent a week here while visiting and exploring Yellowstone National Park. Without a doubt, this is the nicest park in the area. We had a back in site that had plenty of room for our 40 foot Class A, and a designated parking area for the tow. Full Hook ups sites with 30 and 50 amp. Clean well appointed bath house, laundry room, playground for the kids. Staff are friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Pretty good Restaurants in the area as well. This park is all about location, it is very close to the West entrance of Yellowstone. If you want a park with full hookups, Grizzly is for you! It's a large park, busy, and reservations are a must! Grizzly needs to invest in new laundry machines, it was very frustrating, extremely busy and several were "out of order". For what they charge per load, pony up. Yellowstone is huge so be prepared to do lots of driving. We found this location in West Yellowstone a great place to stay while visiting areas like Old Faithful and Canyon. It was still a long drive though depending on traffic, maybe 45-60 minutes to get to each of those areas. The town of West Yellowstone is a super cute and fun western-themed town. It's a nice walk from the RV park into town to get dinner or shop for souvenirs. The RV park is very nice and clean and the staff is friendly. It's very expensive, but that's to be expected with any RV park near Yellowstone. Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile all worked great. It's a crowded and popular park, so there is not much privacy at the campsite. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent location to access the west entrance to Yellowstone. Newer well maintained Park with paved roads and level gravel sites. Big park with both back-in and pull-through sites that will accommodate even the biggest rigs. Sites include a small paved patio with picnic table and grass area. Trees are still relatively young, but are starting to provide some shade. We had a back-in site adjacent to the forested area and the mosquitoes were horrible. We couldn't go outside without protection for even a minute. Swarms during all hours of the day. Worst I have seen outside of Alaska or directly adjacent water. Water connection was different than I had seen before. They provide an info sheet (with pics) that shows how to use it. Check-in was quick and easy, and staff were great, although the guy that cleans the restrooms got a little cranky because folks kept wanting to use them while he was working. But, what should you expect when you clean (and close) them at 8 am? Nice park, although a bit pricey. Not much you can do about the mosquitoes. Just be prepared! We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

I will start out with the positive. The staff was really nice, it was really clean. There was a camp store that was really nice with a lot in it. It was right by the front gate to Yellowstone, and walking distance to the shops down town. The roads in the park are tar and easy to navigate. But beware... this camp ground is really tight! About 10 ft between sites. They have the cheapest plastic picnic tables I have ever seen, I was scared to even sit on it, No fire ring. We got Premium back-In. These sites back up to the forest, are considered satellite friendly and are 45 ft maximum in length, with an extra parking space for tow vehicles. Ya right!! Rip off!! My 5th wheel is only 29ft and my truck was part way out on the road and I had the back of the camper about 5ft over the back of the spot, what a joke. Wifi - if you're lucky sometimes. The spot they claimed was for a tow vehicle didn't even fit my truck. I had to park sideways part way hanging over the next sites spot to fit it in. I will not stay here again if I can help it. It was a lot of money for a spot just to sleep in, and that is all anyone would want to do here. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed three nights. Reserved a spot for our motorhome and road. Space was too short and not what they listed. My toad stuck out over the entrance by two feet. We were on a dead end corner so not in any one's way and the little camp cops in their golf carts left a note on the window stating we had to park the toad at the other end of the park. They needed to be fixing the sewer system instead of be make believe ticket cops. We watched them harass other campers as well. On the last day the sewer system was blocked and no one notified any campers. We were leaving and when we dumped the black tank the hose came out of the inlet and guess what went all over their yard surrounding the sewer connection. We watered it down and picked up the larger pieces (gross) and left the mess in their dumpster. Never to return the high priced unkempt RV park again. I'm sharing this terrible experience on every RV site I can. Stay away, there is much better option in the area. Locals warned us so we should have listened. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

I would recommend planning to have at least 3 full days to explore Yellowstone...so many canyons, waterfalls, hot springs, geysers, and wildlife. If you are into all this and like to go on longer hikes, I would recommend staying at least 5 days. There are several nice places to eat in town. My favorite was Beartooth BBQ (the atmosphere wasn't much but the BBQ was excellent). I would also recommend a day or two at the Grand Tetons if your schedule allows.

I second the comments from the last reviewer, i. e. very nice park, well laid out, super good sites, and best location with easy access to Yellowstone. Long, level gravel site with nice picnic table and sidewalk to front of coach. Know that you need a protective mat if grilling on the plastic table. Only demerits were no propane available, double image with cable TV, and cabin bunk beds are for kids only as only had a very thin plastic covered pad over wood slats for cushioning. We would stay in the park again but forego the cabin, although the shower in the cabin was very nice. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.
