I had read reviews about this park and decided to give it a try. We arrived at noon and were greeted by the camp host. She told us there were only two sites left. Site one would have been difficult for us to maneuver into because of a trailer across from it but she told us we were welcome to stay at the "water fill" site at the entrance of the park. We decided on that. It was an easy pull into and we pulled forward enough that others could access the water if needed. The site was concrete but we did have to level a bit. Only other drawback was that our door faced the road so we had to be careful entering and exiting. We did have a picnic table and our site was very secluded. Although it is an electric only park, the sites are all concrete, well kept grass between, and a beautiful garden at the entrance. All sites have some shade at either morning or evening. Shower/rest rooms are available at an easy walk from all sites. Restrooms are very clean. Showers are pay to use. Camp host told us at one point they were free and ran out of hot water frequently. Lots to do in this park but wet spring and early summer have some parts of the park under water. Camp sites are high and dry but mosquitoes are numerous right now. No Wifi or cable but very good OTA tv and great Verizon signal. You cannot beat this park for the price. We camped at Hall County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

One of the nicest, best-maintained county/city campgrounds we have stayed in. For a one-night stop, we don't need a FHU site, so a concrete-paved, 30/50 A electric site works just fine for us, especially during a crowded Memorial Day weekend. The space between our site and our only next-door neighbor was at least 30' and the lawn between us was immaculately groomed. Although our site was separated from a railroad track only by a fence and trees, there were no trains during our time there. A two-lane RV dump was located on the exit road from the campground. We camped at Hall County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Hall County Park is located directly south of the Stuhr Prairie Pioneer Museum. If you are traveling with elementary school-age children, this is a must-see attraction. Period-dressed re-enactors populate the shops in Railroad Town, including a blacksmith, tinsmith, seamstress, general store clerk, newspaper printer, and many more. You can watch them making hoseshoes, tin cups, and ladies hats, buy candy or lunch, visit the livery stable, and the feed mill.

Beautiful city park as others have said. The staff was mowing and edging the lawn in a torrential downpour to keep it looking perfect! The park host lives in his fifth in the center of the rv area, greets everyone, and walks around several times a day keeping an eye on things. No wifi. Bring cash for the honor system wicket. We camped at Hall County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very quiet, clean and well maintained Park. The Host met us at the entrance and explained the rules and handed a written copy. The pull trough was long enough for both our motor home and trailer. Many walking and bike paths great for walking Dogs. We camped at Hall County Park in a Motorhome.

The RV Park is small but very well kept. I would have rated it 10 except it is electric only. It was quiet and is a very nice Park to stay in. All the sites are concrete. There are only a few pull-through sites. We would stay again if ever in the area. The sites are huge. We camped at Hall County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for 2 nights in this absolutley lovely park. We will return if ever in the area. Large spacious lots, mature trees, walking trail, fitness stations, wild turkeys and other wildlife, all contributed to a very nice stay. Restrooms were acceptable. 3 stalls and 2 shower stalls with curtain. I didn't use, my husband said they were fine. No alcohol is allowed (outdoors, I guess, maybe just a guidleine to prevent excessive) so there were no parties going on. It was very quiet. You really feel like you are miles from a city, but everything is very close. We camped at Hall County Park in a Motorhome.

This 19-site campground is located within a county park, which has access to many playgrounds, a walking/biking trail, ball fields, and outdoor exercise equipment. This is a beautiful park with lots of shade trees. The campground is located away from the park, so there is no noise.

My eight-year-old daughter loved this park. We camped at Hall County Park in a Travel Trailer.

My family stayed close to home on our first outing with our travel trailer. We have visited Hall Co Park before walking on the bike trail but this was our first time camping there.

Pros: concrete pad with plenty of space, gates to park close so you don't have any traffic at night, very safe feeling, most campers were from the area, well cared for

Cons: park has a problem with gnats and ticks, playground equipment is outdated. We camped at Hall County Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park that was mostly full with folks that had been there before. One review earlier made mention of "first come first serve" sites being held by the campground host for friends. I have no problem with someone paying for a site in advance and arriving late. One site blocked off on the night of our visit was still vacant in the morning. Was this site paid for?

This camping area is located at the very back of very nice municipal park and the signage to find the camping area is almost non existent. The road, though paved, resembles a hiking or cycling path and I was concerned as to whether I should be driving a vehicle on it.

Once the camping area is located the sites are spacious and well laid out with 50 amp electric and no water at the site. There is a water fill station immediately as you enter the camping area. We camped at Hall County Park in a Motorhome.

Camped here on a hot July day in our MC pop up camper. We chose a very shady site and had a nice breeze so it wasn't unpleasant. No fire ring but did have a BBQ grill.

Camp host was helpful and our neighbors were very friendly. They lived in GI and just camped to get away. They brought us ice and frozen treats from home that evening. Don't get that anywhere but the mid-west!

Bathroom/showers were basic but satisfactory. We camped at Hall County Park in a Tent Trailer.

We had some difficulty finding the place, even though it is not far off the main road. What is not apparent is that you drive down a narrow one lane road through the day use area, then enter the camping area and it is again one way, but if you want to drive around a second time to look at sites you have to go all the way back to the entrance of the park and start over again. Web site clearly says it is a "no reservation, first come first served park. However when we arrived mid afternoon 4 or 5 sites had red cones in them stating they were occupied. Campground Host was not present at the time so we chose a site that had some shade and a nice grassy sitting area under the trees, and fortunately had 50 amps, since it was really hot. Several hours later a 5th Wheel pulled up at one of the "coned" sites and a fellow moved it aside for them. It become apparent, hearing him talk to the Host, that he had saved 4 desirable sites for his buddies who were arriving later. Somehow that just soured us to the place, even though it is a lovely well taken care of park. We camped at Hall County Park in a Motorhome.

Price $20 plus $5 non-Nebraska daily state park entry fee for $25. Asphalt roads and sites, sites almost level with 30 amp electricity at my back-in site. Other sites side of the road pull throughs. immaculate kept lush grass between widely spaced sites withh many large-medium sized trees. A play ground, dump and potable water fill. A lake on one side and a section of the Platte river flowing by on the back side. Has fire rings and tables. One central bathhouse with toilets, sinks and showers. A really nice CG. Only deficiency is the variable not quite level sites helped by various leveling methods. We camped at Hall County Park in a Motorhome.

This is a county park located in an urban area. We had some difficulty finding this place due to the sign being down off the main road. The RV sites are located at the back of the park with tent sites in a separate location. You pick a site, park, and then go register. Electric is the only utility available but there is a dump station. I did not see a water fill. This is a heavily treed park but they have been trimmed and pose no danger to RV sides and roof. We were able to use our roof satellite and there are also sites with shade. Did not use bathhouse so I cannot comment on it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Verjzon cell and MiFi worked well. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Hall County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is small but well maintained. The interior roads are on asphalt and are a bit narrow. All of the sites are on concrete. Water is available just before you enter the campground. The dump station is located as you exit the campground. The electrical box contained 20/30/50 amp outlets and was located in the appropriate spot. The electrical voltage was a bit low, hovering around 119. Almost all of the sites could handle a large rig. There were a few “pull-outs”. The sites were relatively flat. There is a bathroom with 2 showers per gender near the dump station. They were old, tired looking but clean. We chose not to use them because they were definitely not appealing. Verizon air card was a little slow but the cell phone worked well. This campground did not have Wi-Fi or cable. The maintenance crew doubled as the host as needed. The gates to this park are closed after 8 P.M. You would need to get a key ($10 deposit) from the maintenance crew. This campground is about 2 miles from the Stuhr museum and there is a bike path starting from the campground. There is a railroad spur next to the campground. This spur is used to supply coal to the power plant every 10 days or so. The campground was very quiet at night. We would definitely come back here if we were in the area. Our rig is 32' long. We camped at Hall County Park in a Fifth Wheel.
