3 RV Parks near Pierce, Nebraska
Aug 2017 - $20.00
Pros: Restroom was OK. RV pads and surrounding green space are a good size, with plenty of trees and lots of grass. Good electrical hook-up. Water fill easy to get to on the way in. Some services a few miles away in Pierce, but Norfolk is only 10 miles away. Park was quiet even when quite full. Supervisors very friendly. Cons: Signage and map provided were confusing. Plan on driving around to find out where your site is. Showers are coin-operated. RV dump not working in park, and sign said to dump in Pierce but did not give location. We asked a park supervisor and were directed to a dump site behind the county jail. Lake not usable due to algae, but the park was probably quieter because of no boaters, so this was a plus for us. We paid $28 a night for both camping fee and daily state park pass. - Traveler__
Oct 2015 - $25.00
We did not stay there for two reasons: A - The lake water is still on a Blue/Green Algae warning. This means our dog should not swim there.
B - The total fee (day pass plus camping) would have been 25$. We already had the day pass, but we were only wanting a flat place forthe night. Those are the two reasons for this report. - Matt_C
Aug 2011 - $10.00
This is a lovely, wonderful park in a crappy little town. The water was closed due to algae, but the camping is wonderful. Showers are OK, clean enough, not the best. Very big campsites with lots of room. Birds, cardinals!, everywhere. One cardinal was pecking in our car mirror at himself, over and over. We would stay here again. - User2084
Jun 2019 - $18.00
We camp here for 7 nights is a very good place to rest up. We have site number one which is the closest to the highway but there was no noise. We ate at Whiskey Creek 2 times which is a very good place for meal. They have a very large Walmart In Norfolk which has almost anything you want. We would definitely camp here again if passing through. - Goldwinger
Aug 2017 - $18.00
Good place for a short stay in Norfolk. Long concrete parking pads, no problem getting our 41 foot MH and toad parked. Electric only sites, water hydrant at the entrance. Self-register, no reservations, but there were many sites available midweek. Verizon phone and internet worked here. From the park entrance, there are signs directing you to the campground. Road through campground is one-way. - JA1800
Aug 2017 - $18.00
We stayed 1 night and the area is exactly what we expected - clean campground area, clean bathrooms, and nice area in general for a walk and bike ride. The shower is warm and has good water pressure. Free strong Wi-Fi. - Elmore
Jul 2019 - $15.00
They have added pull-thru spots on the back side of the park near the silos. Appears to have some longer term residents. The older park area is grassy & beautiful but had smaller tree shaded spots & we wanted an open area for tv satelite reception, so we stayed in the dirt/gravel pull thrus. The first site was a little un-level, but site #2 was perfect. Sites are closely spaced but camp area was not full. Very quiet, peaceful. No picnic tables in the part we stayed in. Excellent power at pedestal. Donations accepted for site at nearby City Hall/Police Dept. I don't think $15 is too much to pay for this park. Nice small town with excellent ice cream shop within a block walk. No wi-fi or restroom facilities nearby. Great Verizon cell reception. - LizzyWA
Oct 2015 - $1.00
This needed to be updated from 2010 only so others know it is still here and very nice. It is a RV CAMPGROUND not an RV resort. I suppose you could pitch a tent on the nice grass. It is only a short hop off US-20. No traffic and No trains, just quiet. It is just what we were looking for in a place to have a late dinner and spend the night. As noted in the 2010 review, all they ask is a donation. There are only 6 slabs, but all 6 have a picnic table and most have 30amp and water. There is a dump and a dumpster. One might squeeze a big rig in here, but it would be tight - Very tight. We made the requested donation. - Matt_C
May 2010 - $1.00
Not much to complain about, site is right on a small stream and across from the city park. Water and Electric hook ups are placed at an odd angle from each site and a LONG stretch. If you are hooking up you will need at least 30' or more for electric and water hookups. Dumpster is on site and a dump station located right in between to two sites furthest from the entrance. You could wiggle a big rig in, but it is a tight corner coming in, and the sites are exactly 40' long. Each spot has a picnic table as well, and a few trees but no real shade. The park restrooms are across the stream, and what one would expect from those restrooms. Park is free to stay (site made me select a cost but it is FREE not $1). We used this as a jump off spot before moving in conjunction with a two week family vacation so I won't complain at all. Donations are accepted at the city office 2 blocks north. City pool and golf course are right close to the site as well. Great overnight place to stay if you are in the area. In town there is a small grocery store and a great butcher if you want to stock some meats while in town. - jangle
