Wonderful City Owned/Operated park right on the Missouri River. 5 minutes from downtown Sioux City, IA and all that it has to offer. Our site was a backin (#5) and was plenty long for both trailer and tow vehicle. Utilities well placed and we had no problems getting in nor out. Campground has firewood for sale as well as a bike rental to cruise the bike route through the city and along the river. Some construction happening in the East side of the park which will add or upgrade a few more sites. Only negative is that their Wi-Fi was spotty. But for the price and location, this is a great park. We camped at Scenic Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A great little city park right on the Missouri River, directly across from Sioux City, Iowa. Our site (#41) was back-in, had a cement pad and full hook-ups including cable. We weren't right on the river but it was in our view directly in front of us. Roads are paved and easy to navigate. Some seasonals here but park is well maintained. Very quiet at night. The rate can't be beat. AT&T signal was strong, T-Mobile partner had strong signal but no data. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Scenic Park Campground in a Motorhome.

We had a gravel and grass back-in site facing the river - had everything except sewer. The roads are paved. Our site and others next to it have quite a bit of slope. We double blocked our front jacks and got level but we saw several rigs with their front tires off the ground. The sites not along the river appear to be more level. Some of the sites have a small concrete pad. Looks like they don't clean sites between campers. Our fire pit was a disgusting combo of cigarette butts and empty packs among other trash. The fire pit in the site next to us looks similar. We didn't use the restroom. Friendly office staff. Cable worked well. Didn't try the wifi since I was told at check-in that it really didn't work. Verizon hotspot was fine. Lots of grass for dog walking but beware the stickers in some of the grass along the river. Trains pass through nearby. Despite the negatives it was pleasant to have the river view and it is very close to everything to do in Sioux City. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Scenic Park Campground in a Motorhome.

The Lewis and Clark center is interesting, nearby and free. The Floyd Monument is a little farther but worth seeing. Excellent farmer's market Wednesday and Saturday across the bridge at the arena. Palmer's Candy also worth a stop. I'm not sure why GPS and the campground website directions say to take 9th St to G Street to get to the park. Much more direct and better access from 77/20 is Riverview Dr which takes you directly to the campground.

We stayed in one of the non-reserveable spots since the park was booked. This spot had no sewer and the water was about 75 feet away. I'm sure this spot was intended for only overnight stays, but we ended up staying a week due to mechanical problems with our MH. The park is very nice if you can get a spot close to the river, but our spot was surrounded by permanent residents and travelling workers. We camped at Scenic Park Campground in a Motorhome.

There are plenty of things to keep you busy in the area. We learned a lot about the Lewis and Clark expedition. The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and Welcome Center were very good. Make sure and buy your liquor on the Nebraska side as it is much more expensive in Iowa. Palmer Candies and Jolly Time popcore shops are located on the Iowa side. Good museums there also.

Beautiful setting right on the Missouri River. Nightly spots under tall trees with lots of flowers. Staff is very friendly and they patrol and maintain the park. Free cable and nice bathrooms. The WiFi is pretty much terrible. Have stayed in 2 separate spots and got minimal service at both. Nice peaceful park. Some sites are gravel...some concrete...most have full hookups. We camped at Scenic Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground within 10 minutes of Walmart and HyVee grocery store. Directly across the river from Sioux City, Iowa, with casinos, restaurants, etc very close by. Site was dirt/gravel and we were right next to bath house. Very tight for my 44 foot motorhome but we made it fit. I had to get on the roof and saw branches off a tree that was hanging low (with the park's permission). Seems some of the locals have made this city park their summer home. We saw sites with wooden decks, fences and storage sheds. Actually surprised the city allows this to happen. We camped at Scenic Park Campground in a Motorhome.

A really beautiful park right on the banks of the Missouri River and directly across the river from Sioux City Iowa. Large level sites, long concrete patio with picnic table and fire ring. You can camp with a great view of the river because many of the sites face the river. Our site was spotless, plenty of beautiful well kept grass. Hook ups were perfect, great water pressure. Gravel pad was solid and level. Best sites in the park are 4, 5, 6 and 3...but any facing the river great! We camped at Scenic Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Can't rate the cleanliness because the restrooms were closed. It was a very cold day when we arrived - snow on the ground - which was very atypical for mid-April. I bet this park is fabulous in the summer and we really have no complaints about our site - we were given a back in right on the banks of the Missouri River. Out biggest complaint was the indifferent reception we received by the couple running the camp check-in. In fact we got a more friendly reception by the 2 residents that were in the camp office! This was completely different than when my wife called Katie, the hostess, 4 days before we arrived. Katie treated my wife very well and even called back 2 times to clarify reservations. So, we are not sure who was running the office when we checked in on 8 APR 2018, but Katie may want to have a chat with them :)
If you can reserve them, sites 3, 4 & 5 are probably the best sites in the park! Water is winterized and heated so if you have a heated hose, you should be good to go even if temperatures get into the teens. We

This is a city park and I wish all cities had an RV park like this one. It's located in South Sioux City, NE which is just across the Missouri River from Sioux City, IA. The park has a gate that is closed at night. You must call to make a reservation. The woman on the phone was pleasant. It was easy to find following Google map instructions. The roads in the park were easy to navigate with good signage to locate the site. The site was a pull-through and was level gravel. There is not a dog run but lots of area to walk on leash. A side note....Liquor is sold in grocery stores in South Sioux City and is a good price. :) We camped at Scenic Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our third visit to this city park. We picked the site we reserved for views of the river and because it was a pull through. The site was level and spacious. Cons: Filthy fire ring, which was obviously not cleaned out by staff, it was full of cigarette butts and pop tops. Nice walking/biking bath along the river, but trash all along the way. Other rude campers not picking up after their pets because numerous piles of poop. A picnic table along the river was covered with mud, dirt and trash and was never cleaned off the four days we were there. Their reservation and office procedures need improvement as someone drove in and took our site and then left and the office was unaware until we went back to tell them we couldn't get in our site. The office indicated this happens frequently. So procedures definitely need some improvements. Pros: sites are decently spaced, most are level or mostly level, fire rings and picnic tables, electricity worked fine as did water and sewer, some pull-through, majority back-ins, many with nice shade, others with good views of the river. If the office had a better reservation procedure and monitored arrivals and cleaned sites after being vacated I would probably mark this a 9 out of 10. We camped at Scenic Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a quick overnight stop for us. We would stay there again and/or spend more time if we were actually visiting this area. I would advise supervising children closely as this is a city park, right in town with open access. No restaurants or grocery stores within walking distance. There was a pretty view along the river. Some long term residents. Sites were clean, management helpful & the hookups were efficient. We camped at Scenic Park Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here as an overnight stopover and wished we had more time there! The park was so well kept and our spot was wonderful! We were there on a week night so the place wasn't busy and was very quiet. Being on the Missouri river was a nice bonus! The highway across the river didn't really bring any extra noise over the river so no bother there. We would definitely stay here again! We camped at Scenic Park Campground in a Motorhome.
