Stayed in Pender in our 45' Entegra motorhome w/tow. Had our Blue Ox tow hitch reconditioned; this service is Thursday & Friday. Factory tours generally take place on Fridays. Campground is very nice, some gravel/some concrete sites with full hook ups. Site 10 is concrete and a pull in. Pull forward to set up and back out to leave. Level, no issues getting satellite. There is a loop where more limited utilities might work for some guests. Small clubhouse has restroom, no showers, coffee, TV, however it is open only during business hours. Confirm your arrangements with Blue Ox AND ASK about highways closed or under construction. 2 highway arteries to the campground were closed for bridge repair during our stay. - 2SimsNanRV

We stayed at this campground because our Blue Ox tow bar was not working correctly, 134.00 later the year old tow bar literally had a screw loose inside the tow bar that we could not get to. Thursday and Friday they do repairs and annual services. There are a handful of restaurants in the area. An option for Blue Ox owners is a free campsite. The campgrounds are nicely laced out, FHU, full sun and some have cement pads others gravel. There is a club house with free water and soft drinks as well as snacks. There are no bathhouses, but a restroom is located in the club house that has limited hours. Easy in and out of the campgrounds, do be sure you map yourself to the campground not the factory. You can check in at the club house or wait at your site for the mechanic to pick up your tow bar, not sure how it works for other items. We called and made a reservation for the service and the campground. Call if you are not a Blue Ox owner for a reservation or a tour. Watch out for the water pressure! Go straight to the camp ground to your site, there is usually someone on duty in the club house, was not the day we went. We just went to the asking spot from the email. Be careful with the water it is high pressure, we filled our tank and used it instead of staying connected to the hand pump. - hiker13

Hidden gem. No over the air TV, no cable. Strong WiFi. Clean and neat meeting room with computer station and tv. Candy dish, coffee, water and sodas in the small refer. Closes at 5:30 which is too early but......... Most sites are concrete with FHU's, some are gravel with electric only and some gravel for dry camping. One site, number 6 has built in BBQ unit and fireplace for grilling and table and chairs. Each concrete site has picnic table. Most sites are back in. Free to Blue Ox customers. Not much to do or see in Pender. Sioux City, IA is 35 mins away and West Point, NE is 20 miles away. - Jdon
Jul 2019 - $15.00
They have added pull-thru spots on the back side of the park near the silos. Appears to have some longer term residents. The older park area is grassy & beautiful but had smaller tree shaded spots & we wanted an open area for tv satelite reception, so we stayed in the dirt/gravel pull thrus. The first site was a little un-level, but site #2 was perfect. Sites are closely spaced but camp area was not full. Very quiet, peaceful. No picnic tables in the part we stayed in. Excellent power at pedestal. Donations accepted for site at nearby City Hall/Police Dept. I don't think $15 is too much to pay for this park. Nice small town with excellent ice cream shop within a block walk. No wi-fi or restroom facilities nearby. Great Verizon cell reception. - LizzyWA
Oct 2015 - $1.00
This needed to be updated from 2010 only so others know it is still here and very nice. It is a RV CAMPGROUND not an RV resort. I suppose you could pitch a tent on the nice grass. It is only a short hop off US-20. No traffic and No trains, just quiet. It is just what we were looking for in a place to have a late dinner and spend the night. As noted in the 2010 review, all they ask is a donation. There are only 6 slabs, but all 6 have a picnic table and most have 30amp and water. There is a dump and a dumpster. One might squeeze a big rig in here, but it would be tight - Very tight. We made the requested donation. - Matt_C
May 2010 - $1.00
Not much to complain about, site is right on a small stream and across from the city park. Water and Electric hook ups are placed at an odd angle from each site and a LONG stretch. If you are hooking up you will need at least 30' or more for electric and water hookups. Dumpster is on site and a dump station located right in between to two sites furthest from the entrance. You could wiggle a big rig in, but it is a tight corner coming in, and the sites are exactly 40' long. Each spot has a picnic table as well, and a few trees but no real shade. The park restrooms are across the stream, and what one would expect from those restrooms. Park is free to stay (site made me select a cost but it is FREE not $1). We used this as a jump off spot before moving in conjunction with a two week family vacation so I won't complain at all. Donations are accepted at the city office 2 blocks north. City pool and golf course are right close to the site as well. Great overnight place to stay if you are in the area. In town there is a small grocery store and a great butcher if you want to stock some meats while in town. - jangle
