To avoid 3 ton-limit bridge, from Hwy 33, go North on Arizona, right on 13th, left on Idaho (gravel) which becomes Rodeo on the north side of park. Turn right on Izaak Walton and left on Old Settlers. Sites are on the right just after shower house. Water and dump available. Park/fairgrounds gets lots of use and there is train noise at night, but we found our stay very pleasant. - bjandjim

Oct 2017 - $18.00
Big rig friendly. 50 amp service. Full hookups. There are only 8 spots in this city park. There are a few work campers here. Called office and was able to pay with credit card, no camp host. Sites are nice and more spacious than a commercial CG. Verizon was strong here. Not much OTA channels. Draw back no reservations. Beatrice is small town with lots of charm. Great architecture is many of the downtown buildings. We were for two nights. - OnTheRoadLife

This is a nice little park. Concert roads and pads for all spots. All the stalls are back in and some have a little shade. All stalls are full hook up. Easy self pay but they only accept cash. Tables at each sight but no grill or fire pits. Area is right off a residential part of town but still has a park feel. Kids play grounds and walking trails are right near the park. Very quiet when I was here. Great for an over night stop. - JHooper

The park was interesting to get to. It was in a city park along a small river in the back of a residential area so the roads were not very wide. The street to the park was marked with the standard blue camp sign on the main road but after that there wasn’t any additional signage. The interior roads were paved and the sites were concrete. The roads were a little bit narrow but there was sufficient area to unhook the towed vehicle. There were only 8 sites one of which was used by the host so only 7 site for use. No pull throughs so only back-ins. The sites were long enough for larger RVs. The sites were generally level. Not much privacy between the sites but there was sufficient space between them. There was a 30 day maximum stay limit. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50 AMP), and sewer connections. The connections were located about in the middle of the parking pad. The sewer connection was lower than the parking pad surface. No outside table or other amenities like Wi-Fi. There were a lot of trees so only a few of the sites had a view of the southern sky to get satellite reception. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot and cell phone had good reception. No designated pet area. There weren’t bag dispensers around the park to pick up waste. There were nice concrete walking paths throughout the park. Believe the path went through the connected park system. There was also a fenced dog park in town. It wasn’t close so you needed to drive there. We didn’t use the restrooms/shower. There was only one shower but it was difficult to find as it wasn’t marked. But it was in the same building with the restrooms. There were a few negatives. First was the non-traditional host. The host was a young couple with two toddlers. They were living in a pop up tent trailer without sewer. They were draining their kitchen sink grey water onto the ground even though there was a sewer fitting right near where their drain hose was located but their drain hose didn’t reach the connection. The male worked at Walmart so he wasn’t there during the day and the female seemed to get picked up to go somewhere during the day. They seemed to be developing their parenting skills as there was a lot of yelling at the children and not very attentive to them as one kept leaving their campsite and trying to go into nearby RV’s. There were only small garbage collection receptacles scattered around the park side that didn’t seem suitable for a campground. They only accepted cash in the self register pay station. Don’t believe they accepted reservations as it seemed to be first come-first served. And finally, the park had a lighting system on the basketball court so people were using the courts late into the night (about 10:30 to 11:00 PM). The quiet time (after 10:00 PM) didn’t seem to apply to the park recreational facilities only the camp area. But this was a nice oasis in a sparely populated area. There weren’t a lot of other acceptable choices. We would stay here again over the other City owned campground (Chautauqua Park) if in the area. - bsb814

Oct 2017 - $18.00
This is a city run park and is a great place to stay while visiting family in Beatrice. We have stayed several times before. This time it was different and not in the best way. We arrived and luckily got the last of the sites (there aren't many). After we were settled in we realized that 90% of the rigs there were near permanents and many had stuff such as grills, toys, lawn fixtures or whatever strewn about. I'm assuming the workers are seasonal types and not true permanents. But the number of sites make staying in this little gem of a park difficult. Sites here can't be reserved so it's first come first served. Makes planning difficult. - jeffnbarb
Jul 2017 - $18.00
Very nice little city park, RV park is part of a larger complex of biking/walking trails, ball fields and picnic shelters. Facilities are perfectly fine with level concrete pads, water, sewer and electric hookups. Even on 4th of July weekend and almost full, no 'shenanigans' except for the usual fireworks nonsense found everywhere on the holiday weekend. We did not use the bathrooms. Only minor ding is the trash dumpster was full to the point of overflowing before it was finally emptied. - Katy29
May 2017 - $18.00
This is a nice little park that is easy to get to. Just a couple blocks off US77. All roads and pads are concert and easy to navigate. All sights are full hook up but no shade to speak of. It is basically in the middle of a city park with walking trails, playgrounds, frisbee golf, exercise stations, pavilions, etc. I especially like the river running near the walking trail. Tables and grills provided at each sight. I stayed on a weekend and there were several families with kids staying and enjoying the park. But generally it is a nice quiet place for a stop over. - JHooper

This is a state park, so park permit is required for entrance which can be purchased in nearby Hickman. There are 28 camping pads with electricity (some 50 amp) and 80 non-pad sites without electricity. Pit toilets, no showers, and no water hook-ups, but water is readily available throughout the park hydrants. This is a nice quiet campground east of Hickman, NE on a lake with great fishing. - skippy102162

Nov 2018 - $23.00
Water & dump station closed for the year. No water to be found anywhere. Only 4-5 others camping. Lake was scenic, but not a good value for a one night stay over. $15 out of state for electric site plus $8 per night permit. - CJVJn1Doug
Jun 2018 - $20.00
Pawnee State Park is my favorite State Park in Nebraska. Sites are large and well-spaced. Every site has at least partial shade. There are lots of paths for walking your dog or just exploring the park. The $20 a night fee does not include the $6 daily park entrance fee. The park gets a lot of use, but the sites have lots of grass and not much dirt. That really helps when it rains. Verizon MiFi and Dish satellite worked well, but AT& T phone service was hit and miss. - Bobbi1948
May 2018 - $26.00
All sites are paved. Long enough to stay hitched. Quiet. Close to the lake. - Medic97
