Unusual but decent park. Packed full, but this is snow bird season so expected. Very little space between sites and no tables, patio, fire pit or anything. The result is hardly anyone outside at all. This wasn't bad, just different. Nicely blacktopped drive with gravel sites. New cable with 48 perfectly clear channels. Wi-Fi usable very early AM...pretty pokey once everyone woke up. 2 pretty decent little dog parks. Overall property was very well kept. Office and management staff super friendly. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

See Hoover Dam of course, only 10 minutes away. Henderson is very close as well, where you'll find all your major chain and big box stores. Vegas just a little farther, if you are so inclined.

Stay Here semi-regularly when visiting Boulder City and/or Lake Mead NRA, especially btwn Oct and May, when Southern NV climate is great. Park can have many "No Vacancy" days during this period, but Family Owned and Operated staff will do its best to reserve a site for the number of days requested. The restrooms/showers are VERY clean and nice. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Boulder City has many shops and restaurants on its Main Street, a short walk from the Park. Lake Mead's NRA Southwest Entrance is approximately a 10 minute drive down the hill as well. The only grocery store in Boulder City, Alberston's, is a 5 minute walk away, and well stocked. Otherwise, Las Vegas is a 30 minute drive away, with a great view of the city enroute after Sunset.

Overall Rating:

It's the desert, so lots of gravel and dust, but still a wonderful rv park. We spent 5 nights and wish we could stay a bit longer as the city and the rv park are so lovely. Park owners couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. About 50% of the park are full-timers who are workers in the area and are very open and welcoming, then lots are seasonals. Park is very well lit at night and feels very safe to walk around after dark. They do have cable but we didn't use. Wifi for us was very slow. Roads are paved, sites are gravel and very wide with room to park beside rig. Lots of small lime trees have been planted between sites. Pool and hot tub looked nice, great community room with full kitchen, lending book/dvd library. Excellent Albertson's right down the hill with an extensive selection. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is less of an RV Park and more of a trailer park with a few short term RV sites thrown in. Driving up you see what are obviously long term or permanent renters and it's pretty junky. Broken down cars, car parts, a rig with a window mounted AC unit held in with plywood, etc. The long term sites ring the park and the few short term sites are closer to the middle. The pull through sites are short and you are very close to your neighbor. Our 43' pusher just fit with a few feet to spare. Another big tag axle pusher parked next to us and it was way too close for comfort when all slides were run out. The power and water are ok but like everyone else says the WiFi is unusable and the supposed 30 something digital tv channels are horrible quality and less than half work. The noise the permanent people make leaving for work (I guess) starts up at 5:00 am and is pretty bad. The stink eye we got from the long term folks was quite alarming. If the owners want to run a trailer park instead of an RV Park it's their business but I would not stay there again. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.

GREAT Family owned and operated. Stay here semi-regularly. All pea gravel sites, walking distance from downtown Boulder City. Sites are nice and wide, but no table at sites, if preferred. Pool is very nice. All facilities are immaculately clean! We camped at Canyon Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great taco food truck near Hardware Store. Also, an AutoZone store a few hundred yards past Hardware Store. Excellent choices of restaurants throughout Boulder City's Main Drag in either direction from main intersection.

The park is off the beaten path, hence quiet and safe. The check-in was easy, host was quite friendly, and our spot was just great for what we needed. I can't say whether or not this would be a good spot for a longer stay or not, but I would guess so. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Boulder is near the Lake Mead boat ramp, but outside of the Las Vegas gambling scene. The lake is still very low from years of drought, but worth a visit just the same. There is also a museum of atomic testing over in Henderson and surrounding desert open space that is great for a visit with the family.

Nice RV park for a short stay in the Lake Mead and Las Vegas area. Wide paved interior roads with gravel long-enough full service pull-through. Lovely pool, great laundry room and nice staff. Cable TV. We had no luck connecting to campground WiFi but Verizon was fine. Nothing "resorty" about this place on a hill in an industrial area, but good for our purposes. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is mostly full timers with a few spots for travelers. I was given a FHU 50 amp gravel pull-thru that was just big enough for my 42' 5th wheel. It had just enough room to park my truck on the side. The bathroom & laundry were clean & up to date. I used my dish for TV and the wi-fi was really bad. The sites are fairly close together. The park was easy to maneuver in and pretty much no shade. No tables, fire pit or grills on the sites. Park is great if you are wanting to see Boulder Dam. Park is close to any store you might need supplies from and 25 miles from Las Vegas. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Boulder Dam is only 8 miles away and very easy to get to. The park is also very close to town if you need supplies. We took the dinner cruise offered on the Lake Mead Cruises web site. It was a very good dinner and they take the old time paddle boat right up to the back of the dam for great pictures. Also took the post-card raft trip offered by Black Canyon River Adventures. It was well worth the money for this short but informative large raft trip.

Overall Rating:

First off the park is immaculate and very pretty for a desert park. Shows pride of ownership. The reason I picked this park was that I called ahead to be sure that the hot tub was working. My poor old back really benefits from a good hot soak after a day's drive. Lots of rules here. I was instructed to notify the office if I wanted to use the tub. They would then turn on the propane heater on 1/2 hr earlier. When I did this they forgot to turn it on, and I was told that their lawyer advised not to heat the tub over 101 due to chance of heart attack suits. At this point this place kind of lost it's camp ground flavor. These families have run this park for a long time and have gotten kind of defensive probably for good reason. I will not be driving the extra 10 miles from my grand kids house to stay at this park. Other than my hot tub fetish, I would recommend this especially for large rigs.

If you are looking for a spotless place to get in and out of easily, this will do you well. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rate based on month stay. Park is well maintained, clean and quiet. Sites are nice, not extremely wide but plenty long enough for our 41 ft. fifth wheel and to allow parking next to trailer and open slides. Roads through park are plenty wide for easy travel. Sites are gravel and level. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will stay here again when in area. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here before, it has paved roads and gravel sites. The sites are long enough for your rig but most must unhook. All the services are good and it is close to town. There are a lot of long term units here some are here for the winter others are longer term but this does not create any issues all the is sites are well maintained. The only negative to us was the price, it seems high for this park. We have stayed before and it was reasonable in the past. We camped at Canyon Trail RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park, wide paved roads. Easy in and easy out. Very clean, nice size dog parks ( 2 ). Pool was nice, laundry and bathrooms very clean and friendly and helpful staff. Concrete patio would have been nice but we are finding out that this is not the case in most parks in Arizona and Nevada. Still one of the nicest parks we have been in. would highly recommend.
