Host was very friendly and escorted to our site. Checked that we could get leveled before leaving. They are putting in 20 new RV sites. Nice location just east of town. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Shopping can be done locally. Very nice store at west end of town. Saw several place to eat in town. There are several museums and other points of interest in the town.

Cash or check. After suffering tire troubles on route, owners made a space for us. Most thankful. Park is mostly filled with mine workers from local area. A few spots are held for travelers like me. Pull through with FHU. Didn't try WiFi or other facilities. Owner says he will be adding 20 more sites. Only RV Park in town. Quiet at night. Friendly. Some early am engine noises as workers head out (4-5 am) to work. T-Mobile cell 2-3 bars and LTE in town only. No cell signals coming or going into Eureka. Slightly slopes gravel pads. Fuel in town. Blink and you miss this place... glad we found it... please stop and say hello.. we're glad they were here. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Small park, great for overnight stop. No pressure, no hassle in fact the owner is most accommodating and helpful. You won't even see him most likely. No check in office, no particular check out time. Leave your money in the envelope he provides at the front door. We would absolutely stay again. Note: you can call and leave a message for a space but may not hear back so just go..... We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Like the others have said between no where and no where but this is a good place for the night. Price is good and you get good power and water. Sites are very close but works. Pretty level and all gravel. Would stay again if in the area. Quite even close to the road. Bathhouse was very good. Does have 50 amp. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

My ratings are given in context for where this is located. This is the Loneliest Road in America. Middle of nowhere. Flat, barren, etc. Best I could tell, there are no resorts or fancy campgrounds anywhere around. Because of mileage, Eureka was a good place to stop. If you find yourself looking for a safe, clean place to overnight that has full hookups, this is your place! We were quite impressed with this small, little campground. It's like a parking lot...no trees, no frills. For the area...it's top notch. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. As a matter of fact, he is one reason we have such a good impression of this spot. He's a plumber and clearly handy, so the hookups were in great shape. There was even a little patch of artificial turf next to each site. Only complaint was it was pretty unlevel...like 5". We survived though. ;-) We left the money in an envelope in the door slot...he didn't seem to stressed about making sure we paid ahead of time. For the area...it's worthy of a high rating...if you require resort type facilities...you'd be better served headed to Ely, NV or Carson City, NV. We'd stay here again. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great stopping spot. Nothing fancy but clean and everything works fine. Safe and pretty quiet although right next to the highway. Quieter after dark. Would stay here again. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I wasn't sure what to expect, since the last review of this park was 5 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised to find a small, clean, zero frills park that is well kept with modern, newly installed utilities and a friendly owner who made me feel welcome the moment I arrived. You may pull through one of the 8 or 9 pullthroughs in either direction and there are sewer connections on both sides. Brand new utilities. Power pole and water is at one end but, again, you may pull in from either direction so you should be able to position yourself whichever way is best for your rig. Spaces are very tight and narrow, you will be close to your neighbor. I saw a class A + toad fit just fine, lengthwise. My neighbors were silent, as was the park. Gravel site, about an inch off level to one side for me. Dead level front to rear. Bathrooms clean, electricity reliable, check in easy as can be and a stone's throw from a cute, friendly town that could really use your business. Owner is as nice as can be. Stop here a while, spend a few days in Eureka. I'm glad I did. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There's a big market 3 miles west with all you need. Great hardware store in town on main Street. Quick, friendly breakfast at The Roost and historical buildings abound.

We stopped for one night and hooked up to electricity only. The sites were fairly level and had grass between each and a light on each electric pole. The campground was clean and the owner was very accommodating. The view of the hills and rocks is beautiful. Since Eureka is experiencing an economic boom, most of the sites were taken by long term residents. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a fine overnight stop. It is right beside the highway, but there is almost no traffic. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Don't be put off if they don't answer the phone or return calls, they apparently don't do it. Good quality basic hook-ups. No cable TV or Wi-Fi, but very good reception of all networks with antenna. Good Verizon Wireless phone and data signal. This is a place to stop on the way to somewhere else. We would definitely stay here again if coming this way. Cash or checks only. Earlier reviews are accurate. It is just a gravel parking lot with narrow parking spots with utilities. When we got here, there was no one in the office and no one answered the phone number posted on the door. Since we had made reservations I was a bit puzzled. Three was no note about what to do or where to go. Since there was only ONE spot left open I took it, dropped $25 in an envelope with a note, and put it in the available slot. I question what would have happened if they'd been full. I guess I'd have kept on going. Most of the spots are taken by semi-permanent construction workers with their trailers and work trucks. Lots of tents and later on in the evening more RVs pulled in and just parked where they could some with utilities and some running extension cords up to the office. The good news is this area is pretty laid back. I suspect you could dry camp anywhere you wanted and save the $25. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is run by a very friendly and helpful manager/owner. It is, however, merely a gravel parking lot adjacent to Highway 50. The slots (it would be unfair to other parks to call them "RV sites") are narrow and short; but they are fairly level. Easy in, easy out. The nightly rate gets you stable 30 amp power, good water and a sewer connection, but no Wi-Fi of any kind. (On the plus side AT&T provides a great cell signal). The semi-permanent trailers and fifth wheels (mostly construction workers) are kept remarkably clean and trash-free. We arrived during the noon hour and, even then, there were only two sites available; later in the day the owner parked a few late comers here and there (dry camping), others just drove through, out and down the road. There is another RV park in Eureka a quarter mile west of this one; we should have checked it out (but didn't); it didn't look any better but it would have been cheaper. Would stay here again if we needed a "place to park it" while on Highway 50. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gravel RV sites that are fairly level. Lots of permanents. When we were there the only available toilet was clogged and remained so during our stay. The door to the other restroom was locked. We don't know where the owners were. One checks in by filling out an envelope and putting it into a box. Took a while for the hot water for the shower to kick in. We stayed here overnight and would not consider staying any longer. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Our pull-through site was level and it had good power and good water pressure. The laundry had three washers and two dryers, however, only one dryer worked. We self registered according to the instructions. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had stayed in this park before, several years ago. It seems to have run down more. Looks like a lot of people living full time here. But considering the area, it is a very good overnight stop or even for a few days. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nothing fancy here, but this is a clean safe place to stay if you need to stop in Eureka on your travels on Hwy. 50. Spaces are flat and adequate. Would definitely stay here again when passing through. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
