This is a very nice overnight spot, worth the 4 mile drive from the highway. The sites are paved and level with a grass strip. They are short though. There is a fenced dog run which is packed dirt and quite spacious. In addition, there are on-leash potty walks on both sides of the campground. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The whole campground appears nicely maintained. We would return. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a fantastic "waypoint" RV park. This was a one-night layover before heading to Salt Lake City. It's not right on the highway- getting to it involves going through part of a commercial strip, through a roundabout, and down a local highway. But it is still within a couple miles of the Interstate. The office people are very friendly. The concrete pad was in excellent shape, and a strategically placed tree provided shade from the afternoon sun. You will NEVER find nicer showers, never. Each shower room is roughly 6' X 12', and includes a toilet, sink with counter, a bench, and a 4' X 6' shower stall. All very clean and relatively new. Note: They have a newer cable TV system, and not any cable will work. You need a "RG6" cable, which they sell, if you don't have one. I would stay here again whenever passing through northwest Nevada. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was a lovely park with trees, grass and a wall separating it from the highway. This is nice in the desert area of Nevada! We used it for an overnighter and it was fine. There is a rec room and laundry available, but we didn't use either. The pads are concrete but not long. It was just long enough to leave car attached if you didn't want to hook up sewer. Can't have both unless you have a very long sewer connection! Staff was quite helpful and friendly. CATV didn't work with our RV; they said we had the wrong cable. Wifi was weak. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park interior roads are paved and gravel combination. The roads are a little narrow when cars are parked in front or behind the rigs. Most of the overnight spaces are pull through. The sites are cement with grass and trees between. The spaces are angled making the space ok. The staff is good and all the services are fine. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The site was level with good central hook ups. The wifi was ok at our site but not great especially when a lot of people were trying to use it. The cable was very basic. The staff was very helpful. there is a very nice lounge with couches, tables, games, tv, etc. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This park has some seriously good infrastructure. Concrete pads, grass and trees between our pull thru site and others. Interior roads are hard packed gravel mixed w cement- no dust. Spaces are close but well angled to give a bit more privacy. No picnic table or space for a patio rug- it wouldn't be conducive to sitting outside much. Friendly and perceptive help getting to our space and positioning the trailer. Nice bathrooms- single rooms with toilet, shower and sink. Really good looking laundry room with quite a few washers and dryers, a laundry sink and a folding table. Only complaint- there is a bit of road noise from Hwy 50. Not noticeable during the day, but at 4:30 am it was enough to keep me awake for a while. This was just an overnight stop for us, and I would gladly stay here again. Other favorable reviews below very consistent with my own experience. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Easy check in with a very friendly manager!! Was led to site (getting less frequent) and had a concrete P-T, shade trees, and green grass for dog! Best cable TV we have ever had. Laundry was in a very nice clubhouse with easy chairs, TV, magazines, etc. Laundry and baths were spotless. Had a good night's sleep. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rate includes a 10% Good Sam discount. The rate also included a $2.00 resort fee, though I would not consider this a resort. Our site was in the overflow section. The site was pull-thru, gravel, level with FHU and 50 amp electric. We had good Verizon voice and data reception and good DishTV satellite reception. The park is close to highway 50, the loneliest road in America, but surprisingly there was lots of traffic and loud road noise at site 254. If in the area again, I will look for another park. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park with good power, water and sewer. Cable was not working and was under construction. Wifi worked ok. Good local tv reception and excellent satellite tv. Local walmart about 15 minutes away. Casinos and restaurants all within 15 minutes and Reno about 45 minutes away. Sites are concrete and level with grass sites. Unfortunately, they water the sites daily and hard water stains on coach and toad. Keeps you busy getting water spots off! We would stay here again. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Just an overnight for us. Easy access from US-50 and interior roads are wide and paved. Sites are concrete and perfectly level with nice cool grass between each and some shade trees around the CG. Utilities were good. They offer cable and our neighbor said the OTA reception was good. VzW was fine, and CG advertises WiFi, but we were pretty close to the office and could not even see the Access Point (router), so it was useless. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our 3rd time stopping at this park while transiting to Oregon. This is a very nice stop with all of the amenities needed. We were in a pull through site that allowed us to stay hooked up if we didn't need to use our truck for transportation to dinner which is a short drive to Fernley. My wife used the showers and gave it "two thumbs up" for cleanliness. The staff is very friendly and directs you to your space. This is a great place for a one night stop over or for an extended stay while in the area. We will stop here again. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We are very close together in the pull thrus and, as has been stated previously, it looks like you hang out a bit in the front. The guy parking us said we were fine - plenty of room for others to maneuver. Lots of permanents but the place was quiet and nice. We would return. It is a little over priced for the place. The roads were narrow but we made it thru with our tow vehicle. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Access is reasonably easy from I-80. Good paved road all the way. There is a traffic circle that is odd...two lanes leading to it but you must be in the left lane to enter the circle. Check in was quick, easy and informative. Informative in that Wifi did not work. It was being worked on. The clerk insisted that we be escorted to our site. It was a pull through and easy to find. There was no need for the escort. Parameter roads are gravel and dusty. The pad was concrete. The site was just wide enough for both of our opposing slides. Services were to the left and well placed. I did not like the water spigot. It was less than one inch from the ground. We discovered our Cable did not work. Spoke with clerk and was informed her husband would be by momentarily to fix. He never showed up. I had an extra length of cable so I tapped into our neighbors. It was snowy so we used OTA. All of the dumpsters we saw were overflowing. The only thing that we found adequate was the laundry room. It was clean and reasonably priced. ninty percent permanents and it shows. Lots of junk outside. We had planned to stay three or four nights but left after one. We paid $37.30 inc tax with G S discount and feel we were over charged. We will not return. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Site arrangement was a little strange but it worked OK. Pulled through without unhooking toad, and it looked like we were sticking out into the roads both front and rear. However, there was plenty of room to get by, and if you looked up the road, there were curbs that showed where the edge of the road really is. When the manager parked us, there were some small tree branches that would hit our slide. He came out with a saw and cut them off. Very accommodating. We were in the front half of the park, where the parking pads are paved, but just long enough for the RV - toad was on gravel. Grass between sites. It was quiet enough there during the one night we were there. Verizon cell and internet worked well. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.
