This is a great park for an overnight stay. Pull thrus were easy in and out and long enough that did not have to unhook. - 5th wheel cmpr
Sep 2018 - $28.00
The park or at least the pull thru are easy to access and are not large but no problem hitting your neighbor with slide outs. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There was enough room for my fifth wheel and truck. This is a great overnight stop easy to access from the highway. The utilities were good. I would stay here again. - gadawg

Rate reflects a GS discount. Park is on the main highway and quite noisy most of the time. Quiets down a little from about 9PM until about 4AM. Sites are close together. Electric works well and is steady. Water pressure good, we used regulator. Water connection is awkward, low to the ground, suggest cleaning before use. No leash rule enforced here, many dogs running loose. A lot of long timers and workers, numerous derelict units around. Park does fill up nearly every night. Wifi is free, but is absolutely minimal, can only check headlines and maybe if you're lucky, email. Didn't work most of the time. We stayed here several days while touring the area but we would probably look for an alternative. It would work for a night. - Fixn2gocamp

Looking for a full hookup while passing through. Really good value for the money. No pull-throughs available but I found a back in that accommodated my 65' combo. As others have stated, sites are not level but not a problem for me - I'm equipped with hydraulic jacks. Although really old and dated looking, the 50 amp service was outstanding, stable and 124v per leg. Check-in was fast and informative, with a complimentary margarita if desired. Restaurant open till midnight. Cool little motorcycle museum near the front desk, and many items of interest on display around the premises (prospecting gear, old farm equipment, wagons, etc.) Good value. - tikivic

We stay here on the average of twice a year. We stay southbound to Vegas area in November and northbound on May to the Northwest. Always Enjoy it and have never had any problems here. We always meet interesting people and have even run into friends, from the past, there. Good Place to stay and you can't beat the rates! Only problem we ever encountered was from someone who didn't know how to drive a motorhome, in particular a 40' not very well, but received a couple of suggestions graciously. - Corvettemaniac

Gravel area with back in and pull thrus that is part of the motel/casino. Good for overnight stay when passing through. First come first serve. Tight maneuvering to get to sites but very doable with some care. Come in off highway at motel entrance and take a tight right, tight left and then tight right to get to RV sites. Or take gravel street before motel/casino/rv park when coming from the north or after when coming from the south. You will still have tight turns but one less. Park your rig in any empty site, setup and then register at front desk of motel. We had a pull thru that was able to accommodate our 66' motorhome/towed combo but just barely. Wifi from the motel is available but kept loosing the connection on my computer but my wife had no problem on her tablet. Speed is what you would expect at an RV park. Verizon phone signal was great; data not so great. Slower than motel wifi. Satellite TV fine as it is basically all open. At registration they will give you a key to get in side door next to RV park to use the pool and hot tub. We did not use so can't comment on condition. - Ramblin On
Oct 2018 - $38.00
The park was full which surprised us, lots of full timers. There sites where just okay giving the whole park a run down feeling. All gravel park with little or no grass. The utilities worked fine and access was easy with wide roads. It is okay for an overnight stay just lacking in charm. - sjones
Oct 2018 - $42.00
The interior roads are wide gravel and easy to get around. The sites are gravel and most are long enough to stay connected. There are trees. The staff is friendly. The park is well maintained. there are long term campers but they are located tougher and are well maintained. The sites are about average space between. It is a good spot to use as base to see the area. - JDR

Our site was on the end of the row, what a view! We were close to the dog park and our site had some shade. The staff was friendly and helpful! Roads and sites were gravel. The end site had some grass. Overall, it was a very good campground for our 2 nites. - NYParsels

We loved our stay at Lake View Campground. It is closer to the lake but only one or two sites actually get a view! It is tight fit. We have a 26ft TT and only a handful of sites would accommodate us. We stayed at site 28 and it was perfect! Just far enough away from others and it backed up to the forest for the kids to explore. There were a few spots open when we arrived on a Thursday at Lake View but completely full by the weekend. We loved the layout of the site and the gorgeous views. Bathroom was clean but we didn't use the showers. - BiroClan
Sep 2016 - $17.00
Lovely place, very peaceful, lots of good walking areas. Very clean. Almost deserted in mid-week in mid-September. We dry camped in middle of three paved parking areas, the one below the dam. We paid the fee, but I'm not sure I should have.
Do not try to get into Lake View Campground in anything longer than 30'! Much too tight and there are major tree problems throughout.
I did not try the Elk Flat Campground because dirt road was too rough for our coach. - bobcovey
Jun 2016 - $17.00
Did an overnight here en route to CA and was very pleased. I checked out both the Lake View and the Elk Creek campgrounds. Lake View was full so I settled my tent into Elk Flat. This state park exceeded my expectations. Very clean and in excellent repair. Nice plumbed restrooms and showers. Showers are free but you have to push the button very hard and often. Beautiful scenery from my site. Couldn't ask for a better overnight for a tent or small RV. Neither campground is big rig friendly. Lake View is very tight. Elk Flat is better for parking and leveling. Both campgrounds offer large private sites. Didn't seen any trail heads but I didn't ask. Lots of people fishing at the lake. Would camp here again. - NT2013
