Overall Rating:

Very nice park with easy on and off I-80. Check in was quick and easy, park staff was great and they escort you to your site. Wide asphalt roads are [big rig friendly] and nice level concrete sites. Sites are landscaped with artificial grass, picnic table and a tree. Large and very well maintained park. Utilities worked as expected, including cable TV and WIFI. Price reflects Good Sam discount and extra $6 per day for 2 granddaughters. Reason for low overall rating is this park is not dog friendly, yes they have [3] dog parks but they are too small for the amount of dogs using them and therefore, the smell is absolutely terrible. I would suggest they either enlarge them or add [3] more with sprinkler systems so they can be soaked nightly. Because of this issue we will not return. A shame because this is a very nice and well maintained park with a great location. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful, large and extremely well-maintained park with easy access to I-80 and a short drive to downtown Reno. The park has wide asphalt driveways easy to navigate and the pull through sites are concrete, 100% level and plenty long enough for our 43-foot motorhome and car. Reasonable distance between sites which are nicely landscaped with artificial grass and a tree. New vinyl coated picnic tables with a metal plate on one end to accommodate a tabletop grill. Utilities well placed and worked as expected, including cable TV with about 40 channels. Verizon and Sprint signals were good and park WIFI worked well. Many amenities on site. This appears to be a campground thoughtfully designed by someone who knows what RVers need and want. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Spaces have artificial grass and a tree. Not spacious side to side but very long. Large enough to have a sitting area and picnic table. Can not let your dog pee anywhere but the dog parks. But you can walk on the streets outside with sidewalks and greenery. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This park is very clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and they keep the waste containers from becoming too full. The dog runs are kept clean and tidy. The pull thru spaces are long enough for the longest rigs provided you unhook. Parking is next to your rig's passenger side. Back in spaces are for much shorter rigs. Utilities are nicely placed and are easily accessible. There is a picnic table in your sitting area. That being said, there is not a lot of sitting room so don't expect any privacy. This park is convenient to lots of events in the Reno/Sparks area so during summer months a reservation is wise. Lots of stuff to see and do in the area so you might not have time to sit outside and party. We have stayed here several times for over a week at a time and always feels welcomed. Roads are paved and plenty wide enough to pull out of your pull thru with your toad attached. Verizon signal is good. Cable is good. Satellite signal is easily accessed. We will stay here again. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is very "sterile". Great staff, easy check in, clean sites. Definitely not dog friendly, all artificial grass, concrete, asphalt or rock. Not a blade of grass to be found, not even in the dog runs. Makes it very hot for our furry kids. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I agree with the other reviews that rate this park highly. The only problem I have with my stay is the dog policy. Each site has a large portion of artificial turf on it. Dogs are not allowed on the turf and if they dirty the turf there is a fine system. Very hard to sit out in your area with a pet and not get on the turf. They do have a very nice dog park and I was lucky enough to be right across from it. I felt sorry for people with large dogs who were far from the dog park. There is a lake near the park that has a dog friendly trail around it that we used but otherwise this park is somewhat awkward if you have a pet. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed our stay at this park. As we drove up to the registration area, we were guided in by a member of the staff. He greeted me as I stepped out of my truck and politely pointed me to the registration desk. At the desk, the nice young lady behind the counter had all of my documents ready. The whole process took about 5 minutes. Back at my truck, the staff member told me to follow him as he jumped into a golf cart. I was lead to my site and he even helped me back in. He was very nice and very helpful. As it turns out, he was the park manager. The sites were very clean. I loved the strip of well maintained turf between the sites. Parking was a little tricky, but we made it work. We were in a back-in site, so the connection was away from the "sitting area". It looked like the sewers were a little close in the pull-through sites. The WiFi worked very well. The park is close to the Marina. We took the dog for a walk down to the Marina and around the lake. It was about 3 miles total. It is obvious that the area is growing and the amenities are improving. We only stayed 2 nights, but I would have been happy to stay longer. The park is very comfortable and clean. I had read reviews that said there were too many rules or the staff was "Gestapo-like". We did not experience that at all. We are definitely coming back. Tips for other Campers:

The Legends shopping center has a lot of great shopping and food. Scheels Sporting Goods is a must see. Take a walk around the lake nearby, it's worth your time. If you like barbecue, B.J.'s is really good. Not to be confused with B.J.'s Brewhouse (which is also good). It's on E. Victorian Ave. Take a right from McCarran Blvd just before you get to the freeway.

Just finished up a 1-week stay, our first at this park. We used to live in the area and were returning to visit friends and enjoy the scenery. This place gets generally good reviews and we are glad we stayed here. The park is large and spotlessly clean, including bathrooms, showers and laundry room. Staff was friendly and efficient. Yes, they have rules, but we don't disagree with any of them and when everyone plays nice, it is a good thing! They have a mix of back-ins and pull throughs. We stayed in a pull through. There is also an extra parking space beside your site for your TV or toad. The grass at all sites is artificial. You also get a picnic table. Utilities were modern, clean, and worked well. Wifi was OK - not great and no terrible. It could stand to be improved and we hope they do. We recommend and will return when we go back to the area. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The Sparks Marina area is a bustling, booming area. There is a paved path around the large lake (former gravel pit that was filled in a few years ago during floods) that is great for walking the dog. Every store and restaurant you can imagine is within 5 minutes!

Very well maintained park with a very accommodating staff. Staff escorts you to your site and answer any questions you may have. Plenty of Astroturf along with grass that makes for a well landscaped. Great location to see Reno, Lake Tahoe, Carson City. Plenty of good restaurants in the nearby malls. WiFi - good signal; T-Mobile - 3 of 4 bars; Electric - no issues; Water - no issues; Sewer - no issues; Satellite - no issues, fenced dog area with gravel/sand, level site. I will stay here again if in the area. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is clean and organized. Pads are level and made of asphalt. There is a nice shade tree. Spaces are close but not tight as you can still put out your awning. There is room for your motorhome/trailer and next to that is an artificial turf area, picnic table, and room for your tow. Our turf area, and quite a few others around us, had large electrical boxes in the turf area. BE ADVISED you have to walk your pet to the far corners of the park to the mandatory dog runs. For some with mobility issues or pets with issues this might be a problem as some sites are not close to a run. The dog runs have an overpowering urine smell. It is very hard to be in there for too long. Another problem for us was that there is not a playground for children. Full Payment is required when reservations are made. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here in a 40' MH with tow in a pull-thru space which easily accommodated us. They have a separate space next to the RV space to park the tow vehicle which was nice as it gets it off the street. Roads are wide and easy to navigate. All services worked as expected although wifi got a little slow at times. Park was quiet and well maintained. Close to the outlet mall and other activities in Reno and Sparks. Very well laid out park with asphalt roads and concrete pads, properly angled for easy access and excellent utilities. All parks SHOULD be like this! Trash cans were plentiful and emptied often. Synthetic turf with a great table at each site. The staff was friendly and helpful and offered a further discount to military, active and those who served-thanks!!!
