All gravel, next to I-80. Traffic noise but the spacing between rv’s is good. It’s clean. Staff is nice. Exceptional laundry room. Other parks in the area are farther from interstate but not nearly as nice We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

New owners. I am a monthly, been here a couple of years. Seldom any one in office, park where you please. Wifi super slow and on and off. Usually off from 9pm until 11:00am the following day. Watching Net Flicks and You Tube usually not possible. Intermittent crap shoot during day. Spaces some what level and gravel. They fired the maid, so showers are not as clean. Laundry room clean and good TV reception. Phone reservations hit and miss with no one answering phone most of the time. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very casual... pick out your own site. No amenities but a good overnight stop. Trees are poorly placed at the corners of the sites, making it a little tricky to get in and out of some of the sites. Utilities were fine. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Gravel park with level pull thru sites. Good hookups. WiFi wasn't great. Right off the freeway, so it was a little noisy. Couple operating the park were very nice and helpful. Nothing great, but good for an overniter. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

I am a monthly 4 years. Large spaces with ample room for 50 ft big rigs and tow behind. Wide roads for easy maneuvering in and out of spaces. Largest park in wells. Family run and over seen by owner. Owner is U.S. Air Force Korea era vet and retired rancher and outfitter. He over sees the running of the park and is on site 8am to 8 pm 7 days a week. The monthly tenants are for the past three years four in winter and around ten in summer. There are 48 spaces. They are required to keep there areas neat and clean. There is a long hunting season in Nevada and they get a lot of them in fall up into winter staying one to three weeks. Showers cleaned multiple times per day. Spaces have ample room and are maintained meticulously. Owner is life long resident and a encyclopedia of knowledge on activities around the area. As is his daughter and grandsons who help him run the park. There is leash rule, but two large areas to walk dogs off leash. He has ice and sells a few fishing supplies for Angel Lake and helps with fishing permits. The park is full every night to capacity in summer. All space are 10,20,50 amp. Wifi and tv and park lighting after dark. All sites are pull through. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Wells is very small town. But has four good restaurants. Also two casinos. A ghost town out side Wells, Angel Lake and another lake for those who like to hike. The ride to Angel Lake is scenic you can see for 20 miles. You can sometimes spot mountain goats, take binoculars. People come from all over to ride its endless trails with ATV. Hunters come here for deer and elk. There is a golf course across the street. Grocery store, dollar store, propane co. restaurant two blocks away. Burger King, McDonald's , Subway, Dunkin' Doughnuts if you want fast food.

Overall Rating:

First Impression: Easy to spot off the interstate. Nothing to get excited about. Generally low-key, average. Entrance is pot-holed. Safety: No concerns. Access: Exit 351 off I-80, turn south, drive 100', turn left. Local road in good condition, good signage, Garmin GPS is accurate. Office: Owner's friendly grandson greeted us. No store. Credit cards accepted. Online reservations not available. Good Sam discount. Facilities: No pool, spa, fitness room or rec center. Clean laundry room in office building along with clean (but some mold) restrooms/showers, hot water (score "B+"). No propane sales. No playground. No off-leash dog run. Campground: Not in a flood plain. No storm shelter. Lightly wooded. Interior roads are dirt/gravel in "needs attention" condition with gentle turns; no overhead obstacles. Big rigs and long coaches need to be careful maneuvering. Prevosts could be challenged. No tent area, yurts, or cabins. Sites are all nearby, sufficiently level, dirt/gravel, pull-through, unkempt grass between and some trees. Pedestal locations vary. Electric 20/30/50; metered for long term. Moderate water pressure with good taste. Sewer pipe is 4" threaded, about 2" above ground level. No patios, nice picnic tables. Open fires not permitted; no fire rings (and no room). Good satellite views. Free cable TV. Free Wi-Fi with "3-bar" coverage and usable bandwidth (very few campers during our stay). Verizon phone and 4G at 3 bars. No recycle bins. Noise: No railroad, aircraft, or local traffic but interstate is quite noticeable. Bug Report (late September): no insect issues. Runners: CG roads poor for running. Yoga: no good place to put your mat. Conclusion: Score 5-Acceptable but slightly overpriced. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Wells, NV, is an interstate oasis. McDonalds and Subway, numerous casinos, fuel with diesel ranging between $2.899 and $3.159. No Walmart, one grocery store "Roy's", no national restaurant chains and one or two local diners. O'Reillys auto parts. A few hotels. Two shops advertising "RV repairs."

Older gentleman does indeed come out and shake your hand to welcome you to the park. Just don't think he's able to keep the park up like it maybe once was. Skinny pull-thru of rock and dirt. Lots of unkept permanent looking trailers and lots of workers that leave early and come home late. This park has seen better days. It is very close to the interstate. Probably wouldn't come back. Stayed here one night and it was comfortable. Did not use showers and toilets, but stopped in to see them and they were immaculate. Lots of full-timers here, but rigs were neat and orderly. Sites were gravel had good space for my 3 slides. The owner was very friendly and guided us to our site. The park is right next to the highway, and the noise is noticeable, but we ran the a/c so it didn't bother us. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here going north and again going south. Owner and staff are quite friendly and helpful. Sites are level gravel with trees on both sides. Sites are pretty close together but the trees afford some privacy. This is an overnight type park. So don't expect to pull in, put out an awning and sit outside your rig to socialize. Safe with good water and electricity. Power was good even in 100 degree temps. Sewer was way to the rear of the site which would have meant using a sewer hose extension if we had chose to hook up to the sewer connection. Cable is a little limited and you are watching Salt Lake City local channels so everything is an hour earlier than Wells time. Decent Verizon signal. Did not use the free wifi, the restrooms, showers, or laundry, so cannot comment. You can hear freeway noise at night. Lots of fueling opportunities nearby no matter what the size of your rig. Interior roads and spaces look cramped but there was plenty of room to safely exit and enter with our 35' rig towing. Nothing fancy, just a safe place to pull in for the night. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

I stayed here one night in site 22 while passing through in a 27 foot motorhome with tow car. This is a no frills gravel and dirt older RV park with some trees that provide a little shade. There are some extended stay folk in the rows on the sides of the park but nothing trashy. The middle row which is full hookup pull through sites appeared to be the ones used for folk traveling through. They were not very long or wide but I imagine during the RV migration season big rigs squeeze themselves in. The park is very easy to access from I-80. Road/train noise present but not bothersome. There is a state recreation area up the road and the website said that hunters are welcome. Roads were wide, gravel and easy to navigate. Well set up dump station. The restrooms, office and laundry are all in one building. I don't usually use restrooms/showers but stopped in after a dog walk. They were a surprise. The restrooms/showers were modern, large, and immaculate as was the laundry. There was free wifi which I rarely used but seemed to work fine. Verizon was excellent. No real pet area other than an unfenced area of mowed weeds along the highway outside the park. Staff was pleasant. Price reflects Good Sams discount. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.
