Price reflects US currency, senior discount. Sites were level and paved with water and electricity. French is the language of choice here, but staff knew English also. No TV channels, but there was a WiFi hotspot by the office/store. I needed earplugs as it was noisy at night due to the highway being so close. It was right next to the Botanical Gardens, which were worth a visit. There was a large pool and many activities for children. It was a very nice campground, but so buggy. I'm happy we had a screen tent with us, otherwise we would not have been able to be outside at all. We camped at De la Republique Provincial Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at de la Republique on the way to Nova Scotia and on the way back to Ontario. On the return visit temperatures dropped to -6C and the water hose froze, fortunately, no damage to us but it was the reason we used their facilities! Lovely treed, level sites, very quiet even though it is close to the TransCanada. Staff very friendly. There is no WiFi except at the clubhouse and is not reachable to any sites. If using GPS the actual town is Saint-Jacques, NB, not Edmunston. We camped at De la Republique Provincial Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Site #64 - $27.90 for a 15 amp pull-through site with senior discount. We arrived without a reservation and all we could get was a 15 amp pull-through site. There are 100 electric only sites, with campground A having 30 amp sites and campground B having the 15 amp sites. If using a GPS to locate the campground, note that it is actually in Saint-Jacques NB not Edmundston NB, exit #8 off the Trans Canada Hwy. There is a dump station near the exit of the campground. We camped at De la Republique Provincial Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out the onsite car museum. Price was $4.00 and reasonable. Wife visited the adjoining Bitanical Gardens and enjoyed the photography there.

Nicely wooded campground right next to route 2. Minor road noise but not bad. This was an electric only fairly private, spacious site with good water available nearby. Ironically the water supply had numerous spigots one of which was being used permanently by a seasonal - hmmmm. Major concern was an electrical issue which we had to tell them about numerous times but they did finally did get it corrected the next day. Our Progressive Industries EMS kept turning off our power due to high voltage - 136/137!!!! Glad we had it - paid for itself! We camped at De la Republique Provincial Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Botanical Gardens next door and eat lunch in their restaurant. Jose's Pizza - small place, not many tables, but good pizza.

We picked this park as a one night stop between Toronto and Halifax. It's just off the highway but very quiet, a lovely location. Check in was the fastest I have ever had, it was dark when we arrived and a staff led us to our site and directed us in backing into the site. Use of the pool is included in the site fee so the next day I swam with our younger kids and my husband and teen visited the Museum. It had about 30 cars and cost under $10 for the two of them. We camped at De la Republique Provincial Park Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Nice park. Level sites, lots of trees, and quiet. Office staff was very pleasant and helpful. Car museum and gardens withing walking distance. We did not find the wifi site and there were too many trees for our satellite but this is a very nice park and convenient to the highway. Wonderful campground. Spacious treed lots, very quiet, well laid out and very clean.

It is right next to a beautiful botanical garden and an antique car museum. We didn't explore the museum but spent several relaxing hours in the gardens. We could walk to the gardens from our campsite.

Staff was courteous, efficient, and helpful.

I definitely recommend this park. We camped at De la Republique Provincial Park Campground in a Motorhome.

There is nothing not to like about this park in the North part of the Province. We had a site with just electric but there was water available just inside and at different areas around the park. The sites are very private, surrounded by trees and greenery. The staff is very helpful. The washrooms are as clean as any we have found in our years of camping. There is a pool, trails, you can get Wifi at the store, and the walk by the Madawaska river is great for birding or just enjoying nature. We camped at De la Republique Provincial Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Another lovely New Brunswick provincial park with about 200 sites, including about 20 seasonals. The park is bounded by the Madawaska river.

The campground website and reservation service needs updating, in particular, the 15 amp electric sites in at least one loop have been upgraded to 30 amp.

The campground has free hot showers and laundry facilities ($). There also are volleyball and tennis courts, a boat ramp, and a heated swimming pool. We camped at De la Republique Provincial Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is located in the Saint-Jacques area of Edmundston, NB, and is adjacent to the Botanical Garden of New Brunswick. The park is immediately off Transcanada Route 2 that runs between Frederickton, NB, and Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec. 100 out of 150 sites in the park have electric service, but it is 15 or 20 amp service. Water is available from spigots in the park but not on sites. Some folks have hooked up long hoses to the spigots to provide water at their camp sites, apparently with the concurrence of the park management. There are some seasonal sites, and the RVs are new and very well kept; it's clear the management oversees these units to ensure they are kept up. The botanical gardens are next door and are worth a visit. There is an automobile museum on site. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if in the area. We camped at De la Republique Provincial Park Campground in a Motorhome.
