We stayed here for 3 nights. Negative remarks: no cell service; cable tv you needed a box, which they supplied, but we have built-ins, so, it was no use to us; traffic noise 24/7, less than 100 yards from Rte 302, we sat outside for 1 day but too many caterpillars dropped on us out of the trees; woman in the store was grumpy but nice when you checked in; weak wi-fi signal; the sites were close together, all the new comers were put next to us, not very many camps. Positive remarks: nice and shady; picturesque stream close to us; 2 dog walks; many activities for adults and children; they picked up your garbage daily if you put it out at the road; an escort to your site and the gentleman was very nice and offered to help set up. He also helped guide me out so that I would clear the branches. He even screwed my hose on tighter than I could, he greeted you every time he passed you on his rounds; very nice and well stocked camp store; nice lounge and patio attached to the store; We will probably not return because the negatives out way the positives. We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nice campground. Access was good and big rig friendly. My RV GPS initially could not route to the address. There is a rail bridge on RT 302 east of Woodsville that is marked 13'9", not a problem clearing it and observed several Tractor Trailers on the road too. Check in was good, escorted to our site and workamper assisted with backing in. Site was spacious and partly shaded. Gravel base with grass surround, ours was level, had a fire pit and picnic table. Several riverfront sites looked like great places to camp. Staff was friendly and helpful with local info. The only negative was noisy road traffic. Trucks and loud cycles pass by however it's not a location where engine brakes are common. Dog park was a small temporary fence enclosure adjacent to the entrance. Not a lot of running rooms or Fido but it had a grass surface. Good size playground and bike rentals were available. There is a small heated pool, which was very clean. We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Littleton is 6 miles north/east on 302. Nice downtown with small shops and eateries. Great photo op from covered bridge over the river. Bath NH with historic store and covered bridge is 10 min drive, Franconia Notch SP (Cannon Mt) is 20 min drive. Many hiking options within a hours drive as well.

Very friendly folks at check in and led us to our site. Cable required a box which we had a hard time hooking up. Site was mostly dirt and grass with a little gravel and fairly level. We didn't have to use our levelers here. Used laundry which was clean and worked well. No problems with utility hookups. Only negative was a very busy and noisy highway adjacent to the park. A river ran alongside the park. We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful campground. We stayed in a 22 ft. travel trailer on the river through the the Fourth of July holiday. Site was level and they bring you right to your site. We had water and electric only but the dump station is easily accessible. Staff is very friendly. They have a great store with everything you may need, clean restrooms and showers, and they have a nice clean laundry mat. A small playground for the kids, a Badmington set up, bikes to rent for the kids and a small beautiful pool. There are areas to walk down to access the river. Nice nature trail to walk. Even though this campground was full, it was so peaceful and quiet. We did notice there is a for sale sign, we are really hoping the new owners will take just as much pride in this gem. Will definitely return! All key interests are within an hour's drive, though there is so much to see and do just in the local area. We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Camped 1 night in a 22' Class C, no toad, last week of September. Arrived after dark, however Office was still open and friendly staff checked us in, directed to spot and helped spot me as I backed in, and helped get us leveled out. Our site was a wonderful back-in right along side the river. Campground was very full, and we were across from some "Kamping Kabins" with families out enjoying bonfires until late in the evening. Our spot was water & electric only. Dump station was positioned well and easy to access on our way out. By some quirk of the Earth's electromagnetic field, or perhaps government mind-control satellite interference... there is absolutely NO cell or internet signal in this campground. (AT&T). As soon as you pop out and onto the highway though.. it's back. I may be misremembering but I don't think they had wifi there either. or if they did it wasn't working for us at our site. Facilities were great and they have a nice dog run area. Nearby town of Littleton is a great place to walk around and explore. Wish we could have stayed longer but our travel itinerary usually takes us to a new place every night. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground. The owner is friendly and helpful, escorted us to our pull thru site, and gave us information on things to do in the area. The river that runs along the campground is very pretty Neat playground and patio area near the office. A bit of road noise, but not really a problem compared to the other nice things the campground offers. We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Near lots of New Hampshire scenic drives and tourist attractions. The nearby town of Bath, NH is a quaint New England village with an historic church, covered bridge, and general store that sells delicious fudge and smoked meats. The smoked bacon is fantastic! The National Forest Visitors center in North Woodstock has helpful staff who can help plan sightseeing, depending on the time available. They sell audio tour CD for $5 that tells what to see, as well as the history of the area.

Excellent park, quiet and well managed, this KOA has rules and everyone has to abide by them but there was no issues while we were there. Just down the road it 99 Restaurant, very good place to eat! YES, they have Lobster Roll's which was an addiction that we acquired on this east coast roadtrip. Take a day-trip and go the town where the Maple Syrup Factory is, well worth the time and it is free, you will be amazed at the facts you will hear about syrup! Also, nearby is a Cheese Factory and they have a great tour and partake of the cheese sampling, and try each flavor, I have always preferred one type but sampling all of the flavors sure woke me up and I found that I loved so many other flavors over the one that I have eaten all my life. And we found that many small towns has craft shows on weekends, we visited those and had a ball. While you are there buy the Maple Syrup and half the price you will find everywhere else! We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice KOA located next to a river. Gravel roads and pad with lots of grass. Escort to site and help backing into site. Everything you would expect at a good KOA. Nice shade. Path to the river. On Saturday Night they were sold out and alot of tenters which produced slow and intermittent wi-fi and lots of campfires. Between the road noise and the campfire smoke we had to sleep with the windows closed and AC on a beautiful night in New Hampshire. We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a lovely small park situated alongside of The Ammonoosuc River. The sites are level with roads and sites compacted gravel. Good sized grass areas between sites with picnic table and fire ring. Plenty of space to accommodate our 36ft 5th wheel and tow truck and big rigs. It is an ideal location for visiting the delightful town of Littleton and shops and the beautiful White Mountain area. Cable TV and excellent Wifi play area and pool. It is also alongside of route 302 which didn't bother us at all, it is busy during the day but quiet at night. This is a very good KOA, we are finding it hard to find them recently so a refreshing change. We certainly recommend. We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

What you expect from a KOA. Staff was especially attentive and keep a very clean campground. Park adjacent to river, which is great for wading/fishing/tubing. Camp store could use a wider variety of items. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Campground Cabin.

I was disappointed that the previous reviewers did not mention the road noise as it is a big issue. The park is right next to Route 302, which is a busy road to the Interstate. During the day lots of trucks use the road and the noise was very high. At night traffic does subside and the noise lessens. Lots of trees and tight roads so big rigs need to be careful. Sites are gravel and not very level, but are decent size. Roads are dirt/rock. Hookups are a little concern on some sites as the water is on the wrong side (I needed a 50 foot hose). I was just able to get my satellite working, but it is difficult with all the trees. They do have free cable, which was very good. Wi-Fi is free, but it was hard to stay connected and it was slow. Verizon signal was very weak at the park. Place is kept up nicely and is a very nice rustic campground on a river. It is overpriced, but that is most likely because it is a KOA. We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We loved this little campground. The staff was great with an escort to our site. It's close to grocery stores and great for day trips. It rained a lot while we were there but the sites drained quickly. The only down side is there is no Wi-Fi on at least one end of the campground. We just took our evening cup of coffee down to the office. They have lots of outdoor seating and you can get on line. The added bonus in that is getting to talk to other campers. Pancake breakfast on Saturday morning and ice cream sundaes that night. Can't get any better! We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
