We stayed at the park for six days. Very family oriented. This is an older park. The one thing that bugged me was being nickle and dimed to death. Shower was 25 cents for eight minutes of water. Free Wi-Fi was not usable. Pay Wi-Fi is $1 per day per device. This service was adequate, but not great. The park charges $1 to pick up a package that you had sent to you at the park. The park speed limit is 5 mph and they have unneeded speed bumps. The reason the speed bumps are unneeded is there are so many potholes in the roads that driving over 5mph will shake you to death. The park has some trees, but not the spot we stayed in which was in the lower section. Our spot was a mix of gravel and grass. The site was a pull through, but we had to back out because there was not enough room to make a turn going forward. Many spots are seasonal. Verizon was two bars. We probably will not stay there again. We camped at Crow's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.

I have to agree with a previous reviewer on their appraisal of the park and the way it's set-up. We also heartily agree that the circle area on the other side of the pond was very quiet at night, one of the main requirements for us to give a good review. We also concur that the staff we dealt with were very friendly and accommodating, and the WiFi, although at a slight per day cost, was very strong. However, two items I wanted to mention were the utilities and the roads. This was the oddest utility layout I have ever seen. The water was at the front of the site, then the electric box, then the sewer connection was all the way at the back. We like the RV to be further back off the road, so we needed 2 sections of fresh water hose, but we had to maneuver the rig first so that the electric cord would reach. Then once we connected the water, we needed one section of sewer hose fully extended to reach the drain. It worked because we carry more hose than normal, just a little odd. And then there were the roads, or maybe goat paths would be a better term to use. Someone sold Crow's Nest a bill of goods with all the speed bumps they installed, because they definitely are not needed. There are so many potholes and bumps and rocks that I would have been crazy going 5 MPH, let alone anything faster than that. Fix the roads and you have home that I would return to. We camped at Crow's Nest Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This was a hard one to put a number to so I settled on a 7. This is a basic campground that is set up in 2, maybe 3 sections. The front section is a flat field with 4 rows of campers. A somewhat tight area with the outer 2 rows being seasonal for the most part and the middle 2 rows being back in sites that seemed real short, those with a long trailer did not seem to be able to park on the site. The back section was where we were, it is a circle with the inner part being full hook up and the outer section being water and electric. In addition, there was another road that had 8-10 tent sites with no hook ups. This area had trees, was more spacious and had a little privacy. There is a small section between the front and back with a few pull through's out in the open and a road that had water and electric sites on the river which seemed nice. We enjoyed our time here and found this to be a campground that families liked as there were a number of larger families with a lot of kids running around and riding bikes. The campground offered some fun and unique activities for the kids. The owners here were very nice and friendly. The store had wood and ice etc but did not really look at anything else. We took advantage of the pool which is very nice. The bathhouses were older but very clean. All in all it was a pleasant weekend and we enjoyed what we did. We would stay again if we were in the area or could put together and family gathering at a somewhat central area but not sure we would travel out of our way just to stay here if that make sense. We camped at Crow's Nest Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This CG hasn't been reviewed for awhile and it may be that there isn't a lot to do in the area. The entrance is a little shabby looking and there are a lot of permanent rigs not well maintained. There are two levels and both have sites which are grassed and level but very close to each other. We were in the lower level and depending on the site, you may be looking right into the many seasonal units. We asked to move over one site so we were looking out over an open field which made it much more pleasant. On the lower level, two sites share a service pole so your table and your neighbor's table are within 10' of each other. Big rigs can maneuver easily. Would stay again if we needed to be in the area, but it wouldn't be a destination. Pool and putt putt. W, E, S fine. Wifi is 1.00/day per device. Didn't use it. AT&T cell service is weak. Owners are very cordial. We camped at Crow's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Town is very close and Shaw's food store is convenient. In August, there is a 6 day excellent craft fair at Mount Sunapee. On Wednesday afternoons, a small but good farmers market is held in town.

This is the first time we have stayed here. At first glance it looks like a parking lot style campground. Right up front by the store/office is the pull through sites. if you are into the parking lot style camping then you will like those. Me, I like the woods, so we got a site towards the back of the campground, one of the wooded sites. The sites were ok, a little close together with little/no vegetation between sites. Utilities worked well. Bathrooms were basic, but functional and kept clean! One of the best features of the Crows Nest is the family friendly activities. They had "Halloween in August" while we were here. The rec hall filled up with kids who can make their own masks and have snacks, then a hayride followed by trick or treating around the whole campground. Unfortunately we were not prepared with candy, so we could not participate but it was fun to see the kids having a good time. All in all it was a nice place. We will likely be back again. We camped at Crow's Nest Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This park is conveniently located near Lake Sunapee and Cornish, Newport, Claremont. It has an older and somewhat primitive appearance, but all utilities worked well. It's near the river and woods on another side, and is away from town. The Wi-Fi was very reliable. Though there is no cable TV, we were able to receive several digital stations with antenna up. The 50 amp sites where we were, were arranged rather unusually, alternating between nose in and back in, so that front doors of adjacent rigs would be facing one another. There was nothing wrong with this, just not something we've seen. The staff was very helpful. Would stay here again. Note that Google maps will tell you to turn onto Pollards Mill Road or Old Goshen Road. Neither of these is correct. The campground is just past Pollards Mill Road. We camped at Crow's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.

This is what camping is all about! We camped in the Pines near the river where the boys loved swimming and catching tadpoles. Tons of them!!! The river was very relaxing and breathtaking as we hiked in and along the river. Very clean campground. The pools were great for the kids. A miniature 2 feet and a deeper pool for the older kids. Extremely nice owners along with seasonal people to chat with. Although we had a travel trailer we used their shower facilities. Very clean and only a quarter for an 8 minute shower. Just long enough to wash all 4 of us in our family. Beautiful hiking through the woods, and we and will definitely be joining them again next year. Kids loved to play miniature golf, big chess and checkers. Didn't participate in the MUDSLIDE weekend in their pond, but others looked liked they were having a blast. All in all, we give it a 10. We camped at Crow's Nest Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A nice Campground, we would consider staying there again. We camped in the Pines, very nice, very private, nice size sites. The Pines were just electric and water. Wi-fi was great. On the negative, pay showers, and the full hook up sites were not as nice. Owners were very nice and very helpful. If you are looking for a place to camp in the Sunapee Region, this place would be a place to consider. We camped at Crow's Nest Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Owners are very nice. Water pressure is low but think it may be too many on one line. Visitors are to pay a daily or hourly fee to visit someone! Not a good idea! Roads are on the rough side. Stayed 6 nights. We camped at Crow's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice campground with new owners. Great home base for leaf peeping. Sugar River runs along the campground and offers a nice place to relax. Downside? Interior roads desperately need maintenance and wifi coverage is very limited. We will return. We camped at Crow's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.

We camped here in the winter a couple of years ago, the sites were plowed as close to the electrical boxes as possible, and there was ALOT of snow. We went sight seeing, they are close to a ski resort. We were sorry to hear that the park was sold recently. The owners were very nice and they were doing a great job renovating this park. I hope the new owners do as well. The restrooms were clean and heated. We camped at Crow's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.
