Aug 2018 - $50.00
This is a weekend bring-the-kids kind of park for fairly local folks. Many trailers left on site through the season so families can come on weekends. We stayed in the G section comprised of back-ins with open sky for satellite access. Sites are HUGE and utilities worked well, although the hookups are at the rear instead of near the center. Owners need to trim the trees along the roads as they scrape the sides of RVs and they need to tend to the many pot holes. A little out the way from the interstate and 20 minutes+ to Concord, but an okay place to spend a few days. - ramblin' vagabonds
Sep 2017 - $24.00
Limited choices in the Concord area, this is intended to be a destination campground and has a lot of seasonals. But it worked for me, I was in the newer section out in the open where my satellite dish worked, wifi did not. - ldukeb
Aug 2017 - $48.00
Stayed in new 50amp gravel road area. Didn't have good feel of other seasonal sites plus golf cart drove behind your site for convenience from pool/ horseshoe pits. Nice pool and mini golf. Didn't find bathroom until leaving on seasonal side. My learning when they say they are putting you in the "new section". It maybe lacking the camping feel. Booked 9 mo ahead in hopes of a pond site. Be specific in what your asking for. - ThePattersons

Aug 2018 - $38.00
A large park with sites for primitive tent camping, tents with electric and water, full hook up for RV, sites for weekenders and sites for "seasonal" some permanent. The park is clean, nearly every long term camp site is tidy, although some have a fun large collection of yard art. The playground is nice, there is a nice fishing spot, the snack bar made us some wonderful steak subs! Pool is updated and large. Beach is clean. Horseshoe pit is well maintained. The park is CASH only. No pet visitors during Race weekends or Motorcycle weekend. - car2ner
Aug 2018 - $29.00
This is a very large RV park. MANY of the sites are used by longtime tenants. The area for big rigs that are short-term is way in the back of the park. This area has no trees and therefore no shade. It could use some TLC, but on the whole is pretty good. We stayed a week, at the weekly rate. The owners were friendly and helpful. The internet router had been struck by lightning, so it wasn't working most of the time it we were there. However the day it did work, it was strong. The park is close to Loudon and convenient to all conveniences. We would stay here again. - GranNan06
Jul 2015 - $38.00
Park is larger than it appears from the road. The owners are very helpful and co operative. There are a lot of locals who have permanent sites in this facility. We were allowed to recieve additional quests without additional cost. We picked a full hook up site and didn't use any of the parks facilities other than a clean well supplied outhouse.
I would definately stay at this park again. - Ritzigal

Sep 2011 - $35.00
This park was a disappointment to us. The first thing that concerned us was the driveway going from the main road up to the office and campground. It was VERY narrow and had steep, deeply leaf covered embankments on each side -- it looked like if we hung a tire off the side, it would be a really big problem. After checking in, we drove back to our site through a security gate (which was always open, all hours), to our site. We were assigned a site in an open field area, across from the pool (closed for the season). There was no other campers in the entire area and we were given what seemed like the shortest site, on the very apex of the curve of the road, for our 40' rig. We still fit, but of all the sites, the assigned us that one... The sites were grassy, a little slick but all had fire rings. The road in front of the sites was dirt, and deeply rutted out. Overall, the sites were narrow and if we had neighbors, we would have had to park our car across the road from us. Across from us was the pool as well as what looked like a very old kids play set -- looked almost out of Vaudeville and I'm not sure if I would feel safe letting my kids play on the various apparatus for fear of equipment breakage or rusty sharp edges/protrusions?... There was also a very tired looking metal pavilion that resembled an old circus tent that had obviously seen better days. It did not bother us to be camping all alone, the privacy was nice and it was definitely quiet. Could not complain about the power or water, they worked fine. We were planning to stay 2 nights, but decided to just pay for 1 upon arrival since they did not give refunds if we decided to leave... It was a wise decision because we decided to leave after the one night. On our way out, as we turned the corner out of our field area, there was a pretty large fire in the grass out in front of a seasonal trailer. Upon a closer look, it turned out someone, not sure if it was the owners of the trailer or who, was burning the roof of said trailer. We didn't know what to make of the entire situation, but found it odd at best. Would not go back to this campground. Felt we paid too much for being after Labor Day and having zero amenities to offer. Also, pulling out of the campground (using the more northern driveway, as this campground has 2 entrances about 350 feet apart) onto the main road was a little hairy since there is a short, steep hill coming down to driver side of the driveway which blocks visibility of traffic... Plus the traffic coming from the passenger side is not very visible because of the angle of the driveway to the road. Please use caution if you do visit this campground. - WorldWideUnlimited
Jul 2010 - $37.00
This campground did have a security gate but it seemed to be more of a trailer park than a campground. We camped in the field near the pool. There were not many people in that part of the park. It was quiet except for the noise of traffic on the highway behind us. The noise was not bad but for a "thousand acres" I expected to be away from the highway far enough not to hear it. The bathrooms were a long way away from our site so we did not use them. We did walk around the campground and were struck by the very large number of sites that appeared to be seasonal. Some appeared to have been there a very long time. A large dog tied outside of one unoccupied camper barked constantly and could be heard quite a distance away. While our stay was only overnight it was not bad. The site we had was grassy and did not appear to have a solid base that might make it muddy if the weather was wet. I would not look to this campground for a multi- night stay. Other than a very nice pool, there did not appear to be much for kids. - MECamper
Jun 2009 - $27.00
Before reserving a tent site, I asked if this was a party campground. I was assured by their staff that the "Family" in the campground's name meant just that: the 11:00pm quiet time was enforced by their security. I wanted this reassurance as we were camping with our 3-year old and 1.5-year old twins for the first time. I somehow managed to fall asleep around 2:30am, being kept awake (with earplugs, no less) by the blaring music from the loud, drunk, seasonal camper neighbors. Luckily my kids somehow fell asleep around midnight. I got up and went for a walk around the campground at 11:30pm, looking for this so-called security. No such thing. I saw other campsites with fires going and music playing, but at least their music was a bit softer. So much for security, the supposed quiet time, and the "Family" aspect. There are two playground areas. The main playground has old, somewhat dangerous equipment. The other, has wooden equipment next to the bath house. The pool and bathrooms were clean. - Slappy Abernathy

Jun 2008 - $1.00
As a racing fan and don't want to travel or get stuck in traffic, the NHMS is very accommodating. Basic rate is $100 and can stay up to a week before race. We stayed 4 nites for the $100. Of course need to buy race tickets for Sunday race. Different lots available, with family lots and what we called after our experience last year the 'party lot'. State troopers do try to keep 'fans' quiet. They do state 'quiet' hours, again state troopers do try to stick to rules. Need to be self-contained though as there are no hook-ups, etc. This year I did change to the 'family lot'. They do pack you in there too. So if you plan on leaving before Monday morning make sure you are parked on one of the roadways. But again, nice to be able to walk back and forth quite easily to track, but they do have shuttles to drive by the RV lots. Again, of course with my husband and I being nascar race fans, this is the way to go. - telm59

Office staff ladies were great ! The computer had been off for 3 hours. She did a good job, not working with a computer..and allowed us to go to a site, later, a few hours later, the computer came back "on"and she verified the reservation we had made a few days earlier. The WiFi is very slow, we were within eye sight of the office, where the WiFi was located. The good news, we got 8 hours of free WiFi from the young lady at the office. The other nice lady tried real hard to get us hooked up to the Cable TV service. She was trying all the unmarked cable "on" site switches, but to no avail. So we got our $4 cable refund and disconnected. The sites are ample...and because we got there on May 8th at the start of their season, the place was fairly empty. Sewer connection at A26 is at about a 30 degree angle. So we simply stuck the raw end of our sewer flexible discharge line into their sewer line receptor and it worked fine. Our electric and water was on a down slope, you had to be careful not to fall down the slope, but the water and electricity worked fine. All in all, I would return for an over night stay..but without cable and WiFi, it would not be an inviting place to stay for a longer time. It is set in a nice forest environment. Office has a small store..good for temporary food. I liked the place. By the way, please be careful of the old covered bridge..it says it has a 9'9inch clearance, but my rig made it through, and we are 11 feet 3 inches in height. I checked the clearance before attempting to enter the covered bridge...and observed it was around 12 feet or more..so I went thru without a problem. I suspect the fake lower height is to discourage heavy rigs from using the old historic covered bridge. There is a short detour around to the south of the bridge to reach the park destination. I think it was a good value for my Passport America discount. - Joe O

Roads are a little tight (turns) Water 30 psi, shared spigot. My 35 foot hose just made it. Electric 125 volts Sewer hose will not screw on because it is in a concrete bowl Site not level (Wheels off the ground) and soft as my 5vers wheels sunk in about 2 inches into the ground. ABC is the only OTA channel, no cable AT&T and Verizon 3 bars Price based on a Monthly rate (4 weeks not 30 days) $962 (34.36 per night) I was billed for 30 days but only given 28. The new owners are very friendly. They just bought it a couple of months ago. - rynosback
Aug 2018 - $20.00
This campground served its purpose for an overnight stay. It was raining when we arrived, so we didn't explore much of the campground. Seemed to be mostly permanent residents. Water, electric, and sewer were good. - RVhappyHere
May 2011 - $35.00
Wish I did my homework before I booked this campground. My small site was clean and raked before we arrived, but I was surprised to find a 20 amp fuse (yes, fuse) for 27' class C. After the 3rd one blew, I was told by the owner not to run my AC even though it was 80 degrees, and that I would be charged for any more fuses. I plug the camper into my house all the time and have never had this problem. We decided to ride it out for the weekend anyways, but will not be back. If you like to party, this is the place to be. The crowning moment of my weekend was watching a full grown adult place his empty beer can on my neighbors car antennae as he staggered by at 2:00 in the afternoon with his homeys. They thought it was hilarious. Also watch out for Fido's land mines. I didn't see any proud pet owners walking their dogs equipped to, nor caring to deal with this after the deed was done. Just one camper's humble opinion. Till next time. - bighead1946

Aug 2018 - $41.00
Probably the worst campground I've encountered. When I saw the site for our 22' TT, it looked like a place to park your tow vehicle. I wanted to change, but the only open site I saw was a pull through that was total mud. We were in a section on the map marked for transients, but they all looked seasonal to me. There was mud everywhere--on the roads, at the sites. Our site had no surface, but there were some spots that weren't mud so we decided to stick with it. You had better be damn good at trailer backing, as out site was as tight as I've ever seen. When the trailer was in, the hitch was almost in the road. Everything was in disrepair. However, the utilities, including wifi, worked well. They said they were Good Sam, and gave us the discount [and it cost 40.50], but I didn't seen any GS logos around. Unless you're really desperate, skip this one. - hudsonguy
Jul 2018 - $45.00
This a a small campground that is off the beaten track. Very muddy with all the rain. The sites are mostly back in within loops. Our site was 59 and when we backed in we were blocking 58. I went back to office and she said not to worry about it. Very shaded site. We did get some satellite signals but not all. No issues with the utilities. Would not stay here again. - Vicki K
Oct 2017 - $32.00
The name comes from that this place is 1 mile off of Hwy 9/202. Aside from the sign at the entrance, there is no clue that this place is here as it is buried in the woods near a small lake. This is primarily a seasonal campground and about 10% of the sites are set aside for short term visitors. Of these, I noted only 2 pull through sites and there is a small tenting area as well. We were presented with one of those full color maps at registration showing our site, but had difficulty locating it as there were no signs pointing to which numbers were at each junction and I simply missed the turn. Someone on a golf cart noticed we were lost and led us back to where our site was. Similarly, there was a stop sign with the register here notice, but until you found the office at the far end, you felt you were going to someone's home. Since most are permanent seasonal residents, signs are not needed for them. That being said, this is a very nicely laid out campground in the hills and woods. We were there mid week and most of the seasonals were away, so it was a very quiet evening. Overall, this is a very nice campground and I wouldn't hesitate to return. The hills and trees prevent satellite and OTA reception. - Trailbuddy

We have stayed at Great Meadow several times over the past few years. It is conveniently located near I-93 in Concord, the state capital which is centrally located for the entire state. The sites are fairly spacious and level and full hook-up. Due to the trees and the topography we were unable to use our satellite or OTA antenna and had to get a cable box to be able to watch TV (additional $10.00 deposit). It is not a direct connect from the pedestal to the RV connection. You must go through the cable box. They have a gated entrance which requires a card to enter ($25.00 deposit). We have stayed at over 250 campgrounds and have never had to give a deposit for a cable box or gate card. They also charge and additional $5.00 for day visitors. The clerk told me this was for the many amenities they have. I checked the laundry although I did not use it, and it was very clean. The pool had closed for the season (understandable). They did have a free breakfast and community campfire while during our stay and do have other activities like outdoor movies, dancing, playground and horseshoe pits. While we were there the office was rarely open and we had to call someone to the office both to check in and to drop off the cable box and gate card to get our deposits back when we checked out. We will probably stay here again due to the convenient location. - J Corsetti
Jul 2015 - $38.00
The site we put a deposit down for was given to another couple who had friends camping at same campground even though we were told we could have that site when asked and confirmed. Observing during our stay they were all friends of the owners, now I know why. Not good business! Pool is nice, game room needs a lot of work and cleaning. Lady at front desk very nice, young man when asked why we didn't have our site we were promised he couldn't give a straight answer. We wanted to go fishing but all boats down back had water in them and if you like fishing in weeds this is the spot for you! Not impressed. Wifi worked when it wanted too, water smelled like sulfur really bad it was gross on the site we had. We decided we won't go back here if you can't rely on their word. - HappyCamper67
Sep 2014 - $38.00
We were camping at Crown Point in Strafford however we had a problem with our landing gear so we went to Camping World at Chichester to get repairs. CW could not see us until the next morning so they recommended Great Meadows just down the street. The office is so full of cigarette smoke you can hardly breathe and the lady told me "Cash Only" - $38. My pull thru sight she gave me was so narrow it took me several attempts to finally get parked. Because of the landing gear problem we could not disconnect from the truck. I took my dog for a walk around the campground - very rough roads, a few good back in sights but most were either seasonal or very rough. Dog droppings everywhere! Cable TV did not work - WiFi didn't either. Will never stay here again - Larry Jenkins

This is goof for a night or two. There are only a few sites available for stays like ours. The new inground pool is within walking distance. It is cash only payments. Upon checking in you are given an electronic pass card to life arm to drive onto grounds after hours. There is no fence so you or anyone else can walk into campground. Lots of permanent campers but neat. If you plan an early departure the office opens at 10 AM so I suggest you turn the pass card in the day before since we did not see a drop box, only a mail box. Grounds were clean. - petpeople
Jul 2010 - $35.00
Site was clean. Power was 121v. at 30amps. WiFi was iffy and being discontinued. WiFi by cell phone was good. Cable TV was good. Water pressure was good. Got level by adding 1-1/2 inches on the left side. Has a fishing pond. What's so bad about this place for an overnight? One caution: probably better for trailers than motorhomes because of the sloping sites. - BbTrombone

We should have left this park as soon as we entered. This campground has potential to be nice, but no one is making any effort. We didn't check out the bathrooms because the entrance to them was so dirty and uninviting we didn't want to go any further. - CKB

No problem with reservations although original assigned site was not available due to a late checkout of the previous camper. Was told the assigned site was better than the original. Not much to look at, as it backed up to a backwater area off of a small pond, view was mostly dead limbs and black muck, but at least there weren't any bugs. There are other sites that were occupied when we arrived that would have been better. Neighbor voluntarily re-staked his chained dog to the opposite side of his site after we arrived. Owner was helpful and pleasant. Gate card required a $10 deposit. Wi-Fi didn't work in our location and I didn't try the TV. We were here for 4 nights as we were visiting family in the area. We only spent the nights here.
It seemed to be a party spot over the holiday weekend for locals and the many permanent residents. Children seem to have a great time riding bikes and fishing in the small pond. There were some dead limbs in the trees over our site and was glad we didn't have a significant wind storm while we were here.
There are not many better choices in the area. We were here 20 years ago and it is not how I remembered it then. - Trailbuddy
Jul 2015 - $25.00
We stayed at Circle 9 for 12 days while waiting for Camping World to process some warranty work on our RV. We chose Circle 9 based on the five minute drive to Camping World and past reviews. The good: Site 127 is a pull through and we had no issues getting setup. We were guided to our spot by the owner, and he made sure we had everything we needed. Water and electric were fine, wifi was upgraded during our stay and worked well, except when the park was full during NASCAR race weekend, then it was intermittent.
The bad: The pull through sites are not the widest and alternate directions so our door faced our neighbors. This also meant sharing a picnic table and fire ring. This would be ok if camping with friends, but could pose a challenge with strangers. Our first weekend there a majority of the seasonal campers were out in force and the beer was flowing. A group of them setup at the horseshoe pits, which are near the temporary sites, and were getting rowdy, although the owner did send them back to their sites when he felt they were getting carried away. Quite a few seasonals don't leash their dogs and others who did had such long leads that dogs could still get near the roads which made walking our dogs challenging. The temporary sites are in an open field with no shade from the sun at any time of day. If the temperatures are moderate then its ok, otherwise expect your A/C to work overtime.
The pool was open but we did not use it.
We did hear the new owner has been in place for a year now and he does keep order when needed and seems to be keeping many in line. We need to be back in the area for more RV work so we most likely will return to Circle 9 after comparing it to other campgrounds in the area. - pfogleboch
Jul 2014 - $85.00
This has to be the worst campground I ever stayed in. I came to this location because it was close to NASCAR. It was 90 degrees and the pool wasn’t open. Looks like it has been inoperable for some time…wish they would have told us. The limited sites that they have are very small with one utility pool per 2 sites. Every other RV parks in opposite direction…meaning my door was facing my neighbors door. I think my awning and my neighbors were only a few feet apart. The seasonal campers weren’t just seasoning it appears they live there with make shift enclosures over very old travel trailer. Not a very desirable clientele. You had to pay for WIFI, bathrooms were dated and at this cost I would have expected a much nicer campground. This is a quick overnight stay location that shouldn’t cost more that $25-$30 dollars. - E597283
