Jun 2017 - $33.00
The cleanest bathrooms we have seen in years. The campground has a small store that stocks the items that a camper may have forgot, i.e. grocery items and many rv supplies. WiFi is available. - NHBob
Jul 2016 - $32.00
Stayed here once before and found it to be just as nice as it was in 2014. Wooded campsites very well maintained and level. Quiet. This is not a "family" campground so if you're looking for lots of activities to occupy the kids, this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for peace and quiet it's ideal. The manager, was very helpful. Wouldn't recommend this campground for big rigs but we had no difficulty with our 23 ft Airstream. There were also bigger trailers than ours there. - Clipper
Aug 2011 - $30.00
Nice, friendly campground with clean showers & restrooms. The sites are shady, wide and mostly flat. Some rocks and trees make some sites a challenge to get into, but you should be able to do it. The camp host is very helpful and friendly so if you need directing ask him. A gazebo is available for bug free communing. It is popular so make reservations early. If it had 50 amp and cable TV I would give it a 10! - Motorcycle Jack

Aug 2018 - $46.00
Level campsites, beautiful location, plenty of space between sites and access for our TV satellite all made for a truly great stay. We loved it here and it was probably the best of all the campgrounds we've been to in the last three months. It was truly wonderful. We camped in a motorhome. - rwarner22
Jun 2017 - $47.00
I made the reservation on the website and chose a pull-through close to the lake. When we arrived, the staff had everything ready to go, just pull in and set up. All utilities were good, including WiFi, and our satellite dish worked as well; maybe not all sites would. The park is right on the shore of Lake Winnipesaukee and would be an excellent base for checking out this huge resort area. - ronboett
Oct 2015 - $48.00
This State Park is located on the southern shore of Lake Winnipesaukee in central NH. It is the largest lake (one person told me it is 26 miles) in the state and it is beautiful. There are 38 sites for RVs on gravel and grass in four lines with full hookups. A bathhouse is located near the water with four showers for a $1. A short walk along the shore in the campground brings you to a picnic area, beach and great views for the campers. The 600ft sandy beach looks out over the lake to the Sandwich and Ossipee Mountains. One can see sailboats, boats and a big ferry sailing along the water. We stayed one night and would stay again but it is expensive. There is a brook that runs through the park and separates the camping area with the public beach. There were only about ten campers here the night we stayed but with the holiday this weekend and the leaf peepers coming this area will be congested again. Nice ride to Weirs Beach, Laconia, Meredith and up to North Conway or up 93 to Franconia Notch State Park. Check in was easy! - gsnakehill

Dec 2012 - $40.00
Excellent opportunity for skiing or snowboarding family to winter camp right at the mountain. The roads are plowed as is your site. Plenty of back in sites with warm clean restrooms and a 5 minute walk to the base lodge of the ski resort. The park desperately needs cable TV as there is no over the air TV reception. - Flintstones
Feb 2011 - $25.00
Excellent RV destination for winter camping (as we did). Perfect RV park about 7 minute walk to base lodge for skiing and riding, or very short walk to cross country ski base lodge. Winter camping at Gunstock is lots of fun, the mountain is very family friendly with ski programs for all ages and weekly and weekend promotions for lots of resort products and services. The mountain has excellent grooming, 99% snowmaking, and the trails and glades are for all skill levels. - Flintstones
Aug 2010 - $42.00
They are doing construction and there is a new entrance. Getting in is confusing. At the registration office there is no clear instructions for where to park while registering. We just stopped in the roadway. We were given site A3 but it was not clearly marked. When driving a big rig on narrow dirt roads, clear signs are appreciated. Our site was large but not level. Even with 3 or 4 inches of legos, we slope down hill. Today we may try to change position of our coach. This may not be a problem for more experienced RV'rs. It's a beautiful area and a big campground, scenic but nothing special. - Carodox

Wonderful place. The lake is awesome and the campground is very nice but not all sites. Take the number 78 : perfect and very spacious and private but the wifi don't go there (ok at 4 meters). The showers are perfect and spacious. A very very nice laundry room. We can rent canoe or kayak at the campground to go in this wonderful clear big lake : $30 for a day and $15 half day. We loved this place. - Galaf25
Jul 2014 - $35.00
For what we want, this was a great place. Smallish with a few seasonals but very friendly. It is an old family run place with a sort of terraced type feel. There are a few sites on the lake but most across the street and up a hill. If you are worried about driving in a small hilly area, this might not be great for you. The top, where we stayed is up the hill and in an open area but the terraces are slightly tight. Great small view but the lake is right down the hill and access is good except crossing the road. The beach is great. Some people had jet skis and left them on the beach. We had a small boat and used it every day. The lake is lovely there with nice homes on the island. There is a small state park across the bridge. The people are great. The sites are big enough but the power is sort of questionable. We lost it a couple times and blew it with too much usage but it was OK. There is a play area on the top of the hill we saw kids playing. Other campers were nice and very friendly. We would stay there again because we like the feel. It is a little out of the way from any town but we enjoyed the lake. - FrancisandRenee
Jul 2010 - $32.00
This camp is a gem. It's on Lake Winnipesaukee with its own beach for the kids, canoes and kayaks for paddlers and moorings for boaters. (Marina next door). They feature tiered sites so all sites have lake view. Roads are paved. There are 11 sites at the lakeside; 8 sites on the tiers plus various camper and tent sites up on the field area. All the rest of the sites are neat, well-kept seasonal campers. Our spot was on the second tier, reasonably level, good voltage, good cable TV, good Wi-Fi because near office and good for units up to about 30 feet long. Maybe longer rigs can use the field up top. Big rigs: no. - BbTrombone

Sep 2016 - $40.00
Extremely friendly staff, the swimming pool is large and very clean. Great activities provided by the campground, the camp store is well stocked, campground is near a pizza shop and food market. I had a ice roomy site. - Fulltimer007
Aug 2016 - $24.00
Park manager is a good lady. We arrived late but she helped us get settled. We asked for a site near showers and she was able to give us one. The first two rows up front by the entry are the best. Enough space, close to laundry, pool, nice game room for kids. The pool is the best we've seen on our NE trip this summer. Tall pines all over which are beautiful for the "camping feel," but hard for getting tv reception. My husband finally found the right spot after minimal time, but still had some "snow" time to time. Clean, gorgeous flowers all around the office. Very small store area. We would definitey come back. - Lin and Rich
Sep 2015 - $30.00
We choose this park because it had a" bark" park. When we arrived we requested as site as close to the dog park as possible. The lady at check in said oh we have a nice big site close to the dog park site 18. Site 18 was on the outskirts or what I call old town almost as far away as possible from the dog park. I believe it to be the smallest site in the park. It was so un-level the right front tire would've had to have off the ground to get level. I left it nose low. The park is rapidly becoming a seasonal park and un-useable to the traveler. While the pool is new and very nice, the bath room clean I would not stay here again. - Tour n

Nov 2018 - $45.00
We stayed here for one week in mid-October and toured the lakes region and White Mountains areas, and viewed beautiful fall leaves. The campground is very spacious and clean. Interior roads and sites were gravel and roads had quite a few potholes, but good access with our large motorhome. For some reason there is no laundry facility, which is not acceptable for such a large and fairly pricey CG. - Mark 5
Jul 2018 - $50.00
This campground has 50 amp service, water and sewer accommodates big rigs. Two of our local friends recommended Turtle Kraal to us. We were not here to be entertained because "The Lakes Region" has so much to offer. We appreciated, as owners of a campground in PA, the hard work and money that was put into this campground. There are a lot of seasonal campers and park model homes on the perimeter of the campground. They appeared to be neat, orderly, well kept and clean. We toured the campground and saw the pool and games. When walking the dogs, I even got a glimpse of a small cow moose near the boat parking area! We used our own MiFi so we didn't need the wifi in the campground. - fourseasonscamping
Jul 2018 - $50.00
This is a large park in a big field with pull-throughs in the middle with good satellite access and back-in sites along the heavily-treed periphery. The price seemed a bit high, but it is in the middle of the Lake Winnipesaukee resort area. The two pages of rules included a prohibition of bird feeders "as they attract wildlife." Late arrivals are not permitted but the check-in hours of 1 to 5p.m. may be flexible. The park was about 50% occupied, way up from our visit a couple of years before. Most of the RVs seemed to be seasonals. WiFi worked well under these conditions. The camp has a pool and a pond and access to a finger of the Lake. Bluegills but nothing bigger were biting on worms. For a fine meal, try Shipley's at the Pier in nearby Alton Bay. Get a window table for a view of the lake and check out the wall photos of lake activities including private planes landing on the frozen lake in the winter. For cyclers, the Cotton Valley Rail Trail is an easy and pleasant ride from its start in Wolfeboro. Knight's Pond conservation area has a small body of water; a path around it from the "picnic area" (no tables; only rocks to sit on) presents challenges: take it clockwise, wear hiking boots, use a walking stick, and watch for the blue blazes. Map available on the Internet. Enter from NH 28 via Rimes Road, not Knight's Pond Road, which is private. - Mtmoi

Aug 2015 - $47.00
We have camped here for many years and is one of our favorite campgrounds in NH. We usually camp in area 3. This is the quieter side of the campground away from the large beach area. There are multiple waterfront and water view sites on Little Dan Hole Pond. In July and August it is difficult to get a waterfront site but off-season they are easier to reserve. The sites are wooded and large with good separation from your neighbor. We enjoy the disc golf and hiking nearby Sentinel Mountain. - NE_Tmanor
May 2013 - $45.00
We have stayed at Terrace Pines in the past. It is a nice campground with good facilities. We stayed on two sites due to our party size (6 adults, 4 kids). We had the only 2 waterfront campsites. The rest had "water views". The beach was nice, but crowded. The campground has a heavy population of seasonal campers. Not many sites open to mobile campers. As such, the beach filled up with a large number of "regulars/residents". The disc golf they have is a great game! Bathrooms and showers were nice (and free hot showers!). While we had a good time and enjoyed our stay, we would only stay again if we get the two sites we had this time. Most of the "non seasonal" sites we saw were too small and crowded to enjoy. - BigNuge

This is a CG that I have camped at many times, although I have not been here in over 10 years. The CG has changed a bit. They have added full hookups at every site (except for the strictly tenting sites). The seasonal population has grown in a big way. This is a disappointing trend that I see at every private CG we visit. I understand the need, I just hope these owners put an effort into preserving the traditional camping experience for us traditional campers. The facilities are nice, and as I remembered them for the most part. Where the game room once was is now a large leisure room with sofas, chairs, a fireplace, and large TV. I had really hoped the Bocci court remained as it was over 10 years ago, unfortunately it has not. The court has been moved, and is not longer even playable. The surface is just loam/dirt, and full of stones and dips. There is no way you could play a decent game of Bocci on it. I was disappointed with this as I remember spending hours enjoying multiple games of Bocci at this CG years ago...times change I guess. The pool was nice, with plenty of places to sit (multiple table & chars sets for lots of folks). The game room is dead. It has been moved to the basement and is now a dark & musty room where a bunch of half broken items sit. The laundry facilities were nice, and we used them. The showers were as I remembered. However, the ventilation system is not working. Couple that with the humid weather and it gets unbelievably stuffy & hot in there while showering. You have to just throw on the bare minimum of clothes so you can open the door to air it out. We did mention this to the owner and he was grateful for the feedback. He said that he is in the process of correcting the shower ventilation system. We also busted his stones about the Bocci court...he said it is on the list...lol The Moutonborough Town Beach access (you get a beach pass from the CG office) was a 5 minute drive away, and was a wonderful beach! It is worth mentioning that the firewood he sells was top notch! No soft wood, and it was perfectly seasoned, easy lighting stuff. So many CG's have absolute crap firewood, and it is a shame. We will be returning for sure! - BigNuge
Jun 2014 - $59.00
TERRIBLE - I can't make that clear enough. We booked a site here for Laconia Bike Week. We asked for pictures of the site but never received more than a verbal description. Since we were pulling a large fifth wheel with bikes in the back, we wanted to be sure the site was adequate to get the bike out and back in the toy hauler. The person we spoke to assured us it would be fine. When we arrived at the address using GPS we were afraid we were in the wrong place. The location appeared to be very run down. We made our way to the office and were directed to our site . The site was not level and was dirty. Getting the bike out would have been next to impossible. If you plan to ski on the site maybe but getting a camper set up and bike off...never. If it rained it would have been a muddy mess driving bikes in and out. We complained to the office that the location was not as described but we were told the reservation was non refundable. We decided to leave and lose the money rather than stay in this horrible location. We found another campground that was great. This campground is not a good representation of New Hampshire beauty! - Ttown

There are no "deluxe sites" in this campground. There is deluxe pricing. Looks like a hard scrabble seasonal campground. - Billy D
Jul 2008 - $40.00
Narrow interior dirt roads. Sites are dirt and not. Mostly permanent and seasonals. The lake is nice. You can waterski as we saw two boats skiing. Lake is not that big however. We kayaked but got yelled at when we got too close to someone's "private' beach.?? The campground has some kayaks and canoes, but their use is not included in your camping fee. We had people traveling with us that were staying at a local motel. We were charged Guest fees at $6/adult, $4./child even though our guests used none of the facilities. We decided to leave one day early, but were not offered a refund. The gentleman in the office was nice, but the woman was curt and not very friendly. Would not stay here again. - Scudman
Aug 2007 - $64.00
Lake Ivanhoe, itself, is without exception, the clearest Lake I have ever experienced. The campground has a small beach area shared with it's canoes and kayaks. This is across the street from the campground proper. There is one float that swimmers can go out to and jump off. The site that we had (#48) was perfect. Easy to back our 5th wheel into and with enough trees to afford privacy. That is about as good as this campground gets however. It bills itself as a "resort" campground, but in 8 days there, the only activities it offered were a wagon ride and an ice cream "social" (for an added cost). They have a shuffleboard court, but no one under 12 is allowed to play, a volley ball net, 2 pool tables ($$) and a half dozen video games. The owner escorts you to your site in a golf cart then proceeds to shout directions to you on how to park your own rig. We witnessed a number of frustrated drivers due to his insistence on "helping". Most of us have derived our own method of getting into a site. We were told, during reservations, that there was a boat dock 1/4 mile away where we could bring our dogs to swim. On arrival, the dock is clearly marked "no dogs". Other campers were told that the lake is appropriate for motor boats and skiers. It is not. It is a small shallow lake. We were told by neighboring campers that the owner of the campground was on our site while we were away and while we had left our dogs in our camper. He was yelling at our dogs, which made them bark. Originally they barked a couple of times when some kids cut through the site to use the port-a-potty set up for tenters. Yelling at them from outside the camper did not calm them down! There was very little water pressure available at our site and at the rest rooms. There were 2 showers for men and 2 for women. If 2 people tried to shower at once, the water was reduced to a trickle. The campground has 3 washers ($1.50/load) and 3 dryers ($1.50/load), which gets very expensive when they prohibit clotheslines for drying towels from the beach. The camp store is very lightly stocked. It had a minimum of camping supplies, ice, milk, bread and a few items of canned goods and condiments. They do not even sell coffee or newspapers. (warning: ice is $4.20 per bag!) Luckily, only 1 mile away is 7 Lakes Provisions, which is the best stocked and most reasonably priced store (ice is $1.49 per bag!) of it's kind I have ever been to! We chose this campground because of it's location in South Central NH. After being in the area and seeing so many better campgrounds than the one we chose, we would not be likely to stay there again. - Everyboysmomma

This is an older campground with mostly seasonal sites. The roads are very narrow, winding and hard to navigate if you have a rig over 26 feet. It is not big rig friendly. It has no cable and can't get satellite reception because of high trees throughout the campground. We were able to get 1 station on antenna. Wi-fi is available only at the office and not throughout the park. There are 2 steep hills getting into the campground so be prepared to "bottom out". The park accepts cash or check no credit cards. The best part of staying in this campground is the beach and access to Paugus Bay. We were able to put our kayaks in the water without leaving the campground. There is also a foot path from the campground that leads to Weirs Beach (about a 5-10 minute walk) where you can enjoy shopping, water sports and restaurants. - Roger & Mag
Aug 2015 - $44.00
Beautiful views from campsites on "Wigwam" street. Site 118 needs a little attention. When parked next to the utility the wheels on the other side of trailer need to be raised 6-8" (to level trailer) as site tapers downward from utility to other side. Other than that site was large with a fire pit made with stones for the border and a large stone at least 3' high for the back (pit was 4'x2')! Train comes by 3 or 4 times a day one way and then the return trip.If you are a NH resident bring your fishing poles and license and go fishing in Paugus Bay.Campground has a swimming area and trails that can be walked on to get you to Weirs Beach.Office has supplies and a game room and wood for sale.Campground is nice enough that I will go back. - stoosher
Aug 2013 - $35.00
I give this camp a 10+10. We stayed at the wonderful campground only 1 night. I wished we could have stayed much longer. We were on the road 27 days and this was the best of the best. We camped in a 34 ft. RV. So peaceful, our site was right by the water. We roasted wieners and watched chipmunks play. Everyone was very friendly. I highly recommend this park, especially if you have children, but even if you do not you will enjoy it. - annhack
