Oct 2019 - $36.00
We arrived late afternoon, following a scenic 5 mile drive on route 614. There is a one-lane 11'6" underpass to navigate - no problem for our teardrop - with alternate routing available to larger rigs. We were warmly greeted by Doug who, knowing we were only staying 1 night and wanted to get on the road early the next day, thoughtfully directed us to site #2, a large and nearly level site immediately adjacent to the office. Mountainview, self-described as "close to primitive," offers a bucolic setting, close to the little town of Milford, with beautiful woods and fields that are home to lots of visible wildlife (deer, ducks, and chickens). - rosielife
Aug 2018 - $38.00
$38 for w/e. Ground was very wet when we arrived. No road to our site and had to drive up hill through grass to get to it. Spun tires so instead had to drive across hill to make to site. Not at all comfortable as I was concerned about getting stuck or tipping over! Site was recently built, soft and very muddy. Jacks buried in mud and still not level. Owner was nice enough to trim overhanging branches so that we would fit in. Would've cost $15 to dump tanks since we only stayed one night so we did not. Also difficult to get to due to several low underpasses from I-78 to campsite. - Teddi2
Jun 2018 - $35.00
Loved this campground. The campground is a mixture of fields and treed sites. Plenty of places to walk past sweet smelling fields of hay or along treed paths. During our stay we watched fireflies light on the fields. There is a playground but no other activities. There are free range chickens and a small pond with four ducks that will follow you if you feed them. Quiet, relaxing and a great place to stay. Only con is no sewer hookup; a once a week pump out is available for a fee, and there is a dump station on site. The owner goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy your stay. - TravelingParkers

When we pulled up, we were taken aback, because it looked like a trailer sale lot. Figured since we were here for two nights, it wouldn't be an issue. Very friendly in the office! The woman in the office wrote all the train schedules for NY for us. We drove through, and found our spot. Looked like some long term residents. Very quiet. - StephanieBekker
Dec 2016 - $42.00
We stayed for two nights in early December of 2016. It was one of only four campgrounds open year round within a one hour drive of Lehigh Valley, PA. It was quiet and not very busy. You could tell it was hunting season from the dear hanging from the swing set. The roads are gravel and have some potholes that are avoidable for the most part. There were a lot of trees, but we were able to get our 40' 5th wheel parked without a problem. There was a play area and it also had a pool. It was closed for the winter, so we cannot comment on the pool. There are dumpsters on site. There are no sewer connections at the campsites, but there is a centrally located, back-in dump station. They also offer Propane for purchase. Others have posted reviews on other sites stating that it was confusing because you drove through a "utility lot" (which you do), but the campground gives you a map and it is easy to find your spot with the map they provide when you check in. We would stay here again off season. We were grateful they were open in early December and we gave it a chance, even with the other reviews. We did not use the restrooms, so we cannot comment on them. They are pet-friendly as we have indoor cats and a neighbor had a dog. - QueenBeeQT
Oct 2016 - $43.00
All previous comments were on target. We needed a place for the evening. Park in back of trailer sales company. Roads are in horrible shape. Person at desk told us to pick out any we wanted. Took 3 attempts to find one to use. Roads are very rutty and windy. Many old campers parked throughout the campground. Could not find a restroom. Water pressure was low and ware had a bad smell. - JOHNGW

Oct 2019 - $45.00
Our 27 ft travel trailer wouldn't fit in spot 18 assigned. There was a giant rock in the back of the pad making it difficult to place our rig. They were full due to a Halloween event. The clerk in the office was very sweet and helpful. We opted to try another campground. Follow the directions on website. Campground is 20 miles off the interstate on a very narrow curvy road with low clearance bridges. Nothing close to campground. Gas about 10 miles. No stores or restaurants. - Jan Orlando
Jun 2019 - $50.00
What a crappy campground. Unaccomodating staff, awkward sites, and narrow windy unpaved roads. Not a good choice for large trailers, ok for pop-ups. Only 1 bathhouse for the entire campground...prepare to wait. Horribly awkward dump station that forces you to take a big loop around the campground in order to get to it...negotiating twisty narrow roads with untrimmed trees and low hanging power lines. When you finally reach the dump station you will be blocking the exit for everyone else while you dump... so ridiculous. No privacy... swampy...buggy. Horrible campground - no need to ever go here. - Trailer Camper
Aug 2016 - $44.00
Very clean and well maintained park. Lots of seasonals, but everyone was very friendly. Store is smaller, but stocked nicely. Pool looks brand new. Is on the smaller side, but was comfortably warm and clean. Small baby pool with a fountain also. Daily activities geared for families and kids, we did not take part in. Good place to just hang out and relax. Our site was across from the playground which had a light that was on all night. That was annoying but understandable. I would recommend a site further down from R-4 if you have a choice. - gandb26

Nice campground, good location, nice grounds. Was crowded when I was there. Pool area looked really, really busy (did not go in). Overall, a good choice in Bucks County area. - jmelaw
Jun 2016 - $53.00
Very accommodating for late arrival. Very noisy and active at 11 PM on a Saturday night - people (teens, children, adults) walking all over the park - no curfew? The site was not level, the water source is a bunch of hoses laying all around on the ground from one site to another with taps available here and there. The pool(s) were nice - large heated pool, two kiddie pools with sprinklers and water buckets; whirlpool not very warm and not very bubbly. Lots of trees and rocks. A nice covered bridge walkway from store to lakefront, then to pool area. Mini-golf course is a hazard yet they still charge for use: broken and sagging boards, rusty nails sticking out, uneven ground and play areas. Not impressed. - Forrest Woods
Aug 2015 - $49.00
A heavily wooded campground about 60 miles north of Philadelphia, close to the Delaware River and other northern Bucks County attractions. Difficult to find; watch out for narrow roads - plan ahead. Arrived late on a Friday night; "David" thankfully escorted us to the site, which was wide, clean and flat with stones. Permanent sites are separated from transients. Most permanents in good shape. An active campground with organized games throughout Saturday for children and teens. Camp store is well-stocked, with an indoor game area. Large lake for fishing and two pools with water play-features. A high cost for only water and electric - knocked down my rating. Charges $7.50 per adult guest. One dumping station means you'll be lining up to get out on Sunday. Be sure to leave an extra hour. Trash is picked up on site (didn't learn that until we drove around looking for a Dumpster). There's a honeywagon too, but the service isn't available on weekends, or wasn't well advertised. We have friends in the area and will likely visit again. - Lancaster Camper

Sep 2015 - $32.00
We called the ranger from the Interstate and were able to get space for our larger rig near the end of the day. We were warned that we would just be in a parking lot, basically. there is no potable water in the park, no hookups, just parked between lines, for space 1, in the parking lot, which we found unusual. The park was quiet at night, also we noticed the lake, which was hard to see from our location, was down in water level as well.
we used the dump station on the way out in the morning. Also, roads to the park are paved but fairly uneven asphalt. Don't go into the area needing fuel, as there are only two choices, and the main road has a huge concrete New Jersey barrier running up and down the highway, which necessitates doing huge and dangerous U-turns with a rig. We finally had to unhook, just to get into a place. We wouldn't go back to the park again, unless a real emergency for a place to stay. We listed the site satisfactory only because we have no problem dry camping and with the threat of rain, we thought it would be ok to park on pavement. - Mexicanpiloto
Jul 2014 - $20.00
Stayed before the weekend, reservation website will show available sites but must reserve at least two nights in order to book plus Reserve America reservation fee. Weekend most sites were reserved, mixture of grass field and reservoir/lakeside sites. Main roads are paved, roads in campground are gravelly as are the campground parking sites. Sandy beach is a distance walk from campground which make the sites more private. Bathhouses are older and have individual toilet and separate shower units. Most sites are level and well spaced, low hanging tree branches make some campsite roads difficult to maneuver with bigger rigs. No hook-ups but good dump station and water connection by campground entrance. - travelin' guy
Jun 2008 - $20.00
A beautiful park on the Spruce Run Reservoir. The condition of the restrooms were the main reason I could not rate the park as a 10. The facilities are quite worn and, although they were cleaned daily, weekend use was overwhelming and by Saturday night things were pretty grungy. There were 5 stalls and 3 showers (one of each wheelchair accessible)in each of the two bathroom buildings, but one of the buildings had only one shower in use, and one of the men's showers ran cold water only. Weekdays the campground was almost empty. It is primarily a popular weekend place for extended families who are tent-camping; definitely great for kids with the lake, a beach, boat rentals and playgrounds. Our spot was tight for a 32' Fifth-wheel due to overhanging trees. (There is lots of space between sites.)If you have a rig this large the following sites will accommodate you: 7, 8, 9, 16, 17, 21, 24, 33, 39, 61, 67, 70. Note: The park day-use area allows pets, but the campground does not. - Horizons28

The owners are two of the nicest people you will meet. They have done one heck of a job recovering from the tornado that hit their campground- everything is super clean. Fun activities on holiday weekends - we will continue to go there. - Charlieb346

The owners are the nicest people. Bathroom & showers are extremely clean & well maintained. Quiet, peaceful setting with lots of shade. I would highly recommend to give this campground a visit. Has a very nice pool also! - Charlieb346

Oct 2015 - $30.00
This park has basically no amenities or services. The camping area was a big field with a few trees around the perimeter. There were some Porta potties across the field. Dry camping on a field costs us $30. The park ranger was rude about our camping at night after 7 pm, so we hadn't paid in advance. This left a very bad impression of their state parks. Don't recommend. - stocky
May 2012 - $20.00
We stayed here since we could not get in to the Spruce Run Rec Area campgrounds, This site is about 10 minutes away, up on top of a hill. You must drive up some steep grades to get to the campsite. The sites are "primitive", no water, elecricity, etc. The site itself is pretty enough, with the campsites all bordering a large grassy field. Be warned, there's a fair amount of poison ivy here and there (especially around the small playground, which our 2-year-old was magnetically attracted to). The bath house was fairly disgusting; there are pit toilets and a couple of showers. Lots of paper strewn around, and very unpleasant odors (my wife had to use the men's latrine because the women's was so disgusting). A nice feature (for those so interested) is that the NJ Astronomical Assn's observatory is a short hike away; they tell me it's the largest public telescope (27") in NJ. Attended an open talk there on Sat night, but it was unfortunately too hazy to use the big telescope. Probably would not stay here again if there's space at Spruce Run. - Will Dennis
May 2006 - $20.00
There was virtually no one else here during our visit (midweek prior to school letting out). Park is pretty and wooded, with hiking paths, playgrounds, picnic areas and even an observatory1! Staff exceedingly helpful and pleasant. We had no trouble parking our 35' Fifth Wheel, although there are probably not many sites that we could have used. We were able to set up our Internet dish, but again, few sites from which this would have been possible. Please note that pets and even possession of alcohol are prohibited by park rules. There is a dump, but I think a large rig would have trouble using it. The drive through town to get here includes a 12'6" overpass and somewhat narrow roads. (There is an alternate route around the overpass.) - User51

Jul 2017 - $56.00
Stayed during the 2017 "RiverFest" weekend in July. Big rain (3-5") first night, many campsites and some roads near us had huge "lakes" of water, but basically all drained during the next 24 hrs. Staff was very cheery and helpful, and ran many fun activities for the kids and adults, with all of them being free (many other c'gs would no doubt charge for them.) Bathrooms were clean & kept in good shape during our stay. Biggest draw for us is the very pretty site right on the Delaware river; the river is split around an island beginning at the front of the campground, and the river between the campground and island is like a large creek, about 4-5' deep at center, and fun and safe enough for even littler kids to play in. They do also have a nice concrete boat put-in right at the front of the campground for bigger boats that want to go in the main river. Site are generally large, and most have at least some shade. We always have a great time here, and will continue to return every year. - Will Dennis
Jul 2016 - $57.00
Great family owned campground. Right on the scenic Delaware River. We really enjoyed camping here. The staff was very polite and helpful. There was plenty of activities to do. We did an 8 mile canoe trip on the Delaware River . It was AWESOME. They bus you up the river and then you canoe back to the campground. We really enjoyed our stay here and cant wait to go back. - scottrig09

Oct 2017 - $40.00
Not a great experience at this campground. The ladies at the desk were extremely nice but the campground needed some updating. Our campsite sat right on top of our neighbor. Small tire rim fire ring and no paving or gravel at the site. Our first night we heard very loud, very foul language about 3 sites over. They did bring the firewood you purchased to your camp. Doubt I will use this facility again. - Chacha51
Jun 2016 - $40.00
Check in was friendly, pool was OK. Site was level, but electricity at pole was reverse-polarity (and fried my surge protector). When we complained, the maintenance guy said it was our issue, not theirs - they had never had a complaint of this magnitude before. They offered to move us to another spot but that proved to be open-neutral at the pole. We requested a refund of our money and departed quickly - were 'shooed' out by the maintenance crew. Not impressed. - Forrest Woods

Jul 2019 - $27.00
This campground has two personalities: (1)quiet and peaceful from Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon and (2) rowdy and loud during the weekends. PROs: Lots of trees/green grass Relatively quiet during the week. After 11 PM the campground gets pretty peaceful. Decent cable(no HD) No sewers, but tanks are pumped twice a week for weekly, monthly, and seasonal campers For Monthly or long-term campers you are given an electronic pass for the gate ($25 refundable deposit). Campground is bordered on its west side by the Delaware River,so it's very convenient for boaters and rafters. CONs: Although there are signs posted in several spots in the campground about NO LOUD MUSIC with threats of expulsion for violators, on the weekends there are always units that blare music that can be heard 100 yards away - and farther. It goes on for hours and hours so obviously nobody is willing to enforce this rule. Visitors are charged $10 each no matter what time of day they come. (A nearby competing campground charges $5 after 5 PM). The office staff is often unfriendly/uninterested. The rules state that all dogs must be on a leash, but several times I was approached by unleashed large dogs while leash-walking our two small dogs. Thankfully these dogs were not vicious, but still it's unnerving to see a 75-pound bull pit galloping directly at your two little dogs. Too many campers (mostly tenters)have no reservations about walking though others' campsites as a shortcut -even though the written rules state that you are violating someone's "home" when you do this.We finally roped off out campsite during the July 4th weekend. 30-Amp power only. No WI-FI repeaters. If you are not sitting near the pavilion,it is very difficult(or impossible)to get a connection. - w3sjkb3aam
Jun 2018 - $52.00
Location! Location! Location! We chose this campground because of its close proximity to the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area. It did prove to be good for that. The campground is quiet despite how many units are in it. MANY seasonals. There is a boat ramp to the river. Diesel is available nearby. Easy access from I-80. Friendly check-in. Showers are coin operated but didn't use them. WIFI is available at the pavilion. Our site was down the hill and wifi reception was occasionally available. Grass sites. 30 amp only. Honey wagon available on Monday and Friday. Leveling required more blocks than we have ever used. Overall, we were fine. Served the purpose. However, WIFI is important to us. The rate is too high for the services available. - lovingthervlife
May 2018 - $52.00
Overall, we had a good experience, even after a little bit of an issue upon our arrival. We stayed on Oak 41, friends had Oak 39 and Oak 42. Oak 39 is meant for a smaller trailer and does appear to have a low spot which could hold water, but even after the rain we had we didn't notice any standing water. Oak 41 and 42 are very similar in size. They are meant for longer units, we have a 43' 5th wheel. These sites sit about 1 foot lower than the road. Being grass, it can be tricky getting into the site and worry about wheels and jacks sinking, but if you use boards under your tires or jacks, no issues. We did have difficulty getting into our site because the 4WD wasn't engaging on the truck, we we got a little stuck, luckily we were far enough into our site that we just dropped the camper where it was and enjoyed our weekend. When we left, no problem getting the camper out of the site. Our site was definitely spacious as plenty of room behind our unit to put down our ramp door and open our 3 slides. Sites are not perfectly flat, but you will need to do some leveling, but not too much. It is a very crowded campground, especially the tent sites, which all seemed to be nice and well used (not in a negative way). They offer port-o-johns throughout the tent area so you don't have to make the long trek up to the bathhouse in the middle of the night. Staff was very friendly and I was constantly seeing maintenance crews working around the the campground. Upon leaving, they were starting to go around and clean up the fire ring areas. They were picking up trash from the tent area, but it appeared if you were in a camper you took your trash up to the dumpsters, which we didn't see as a problem. The pool was very crowded so we didn't bother to use it. Though everyone we noticed in the pool seemed to be enjoying themselves. When we were there, Verizon had no cell service. AT&T services was full 4G. Make sure you put your jacks on boards or blocks so you don't sink. Even recommend putting tires on boards, though we did not do this and didn't have any issues when leaving. Overall, we all had a good time. - cplofhds
