While there were a lot of people around they didn't seem to be doing much. We complained about a swarm of bees at our campsite looking to see if they had anything we could use to discourage them. Answer was, "we'll send someone right over". At the time it was a Monday and the campground was empty. By Wednesday not one had come around. KOA's always allow for 6 people but they insisted on charging extra for over 2. Second time there but we understand there is new management... We camped at Cape May KOA in a Motorhome.

Cape may is an area with lots to do. We rode our bikes over to Delaware on the Ferry to Lewes with our bikes $28 for a round trip for two with our bikes. Great time!

Staff was not the friendliest, the pool was closed due to a permanent site resident vomiting in it. The lake was nice although the kids were a bit out of control and not listening to the attendant when they were on site.

This is a confusing campground, it appears to be managed by a number of groups depending on location and they don't work together. The rules are not enforced: bikes are riden at dark, golf carts go way too fast, the permanents take control and do as they please, no matter the time even at 1 and 2 am (alot have their own tiki bars). If you are by the rec center it is lit up like a landing strip. And the bugs: they really need to spray. Way too many permanent sites here, especially being that it is a KOA. Does not seem to be managed properly and nothing is enforced. We camped at Cape May KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Not a bad campground. Depends what site you get. Some are absolutely huge, others are very tight. We have a popup and the site they gave us didn't give us a lot of room for our awning, picnic table and fire ring. Very tight in the wooded area. Overall, a clean campground, though there was a lot of small trash on our site upon check-in. No activities the weekend we were there (the activities person was out sick?). Bathrooms and showers were clean, but shower drain was stopped up. Kind of gross. Also, no benches in the showers to get dressed. There was a bench in the area leading to the showers, but people kept leaving the door wide open. Was mostly quiet while we were there and it was pretty full. Not a lot of noise after 10pm, folks seemed to respect the quiet hours. We camped at Cape May KOA in a Tent Trailer.

We had made reservations about a month ago. Last week I noticed they started advertising on their website they offered a military discount of "stay 3 nights, pay for only 2" my brother in law traveling with us was retired military. I asked about it when checking in and they refused to honor it because the reservation was in "my name". Ok fine. We were checking in early. That was a $20 fee. I asked if maybe she could waive it since they wouldn't honor the military discount. Nope. Couldn't do that either. Usually KOAs have a worker show you to your site, not this one. Site was great. There are many seasonals but most were well kept. Best transient site in the park so that was fabulous. Other sites are very tight. Like embers from your neighbors fire could easily land your RV type of close. No shade at the middle pull through sites. None. The sites were freshly graveled and the park was landscapes nicely and well kept. Huge dog park (we didn't have our dogs with us this trip) Husband said bathrooms and showers were clean. There is a gym with several work out machines. Not sure if there is access when the door to the activity center is locked. We borrowed a game and wanted to return it on Monday at about 10 when we were leaving and it was locked. Brother in law and sister walked up to the office to get coffee (.25 cup, all KOAs we have stayed at it is free and donations go to the kids camp) but the office was closed until 9am. It was closed on Sunday night at 5pm so we couldn't get wood or marshmallows. These were small annoyances but just didn't seem customer friendly. We camped at Cape May KOA in a Motorhome.

We arrived in the Thursday evening before Memorial Day. The staff was very friendly! They gave our dogs treats, escorted us to our spot and gave us all the details for trash, activities, etc. We have a decent sized site. We had to park our tow vehicle sideways since it wouldn’t fit in front. My biggest complaint is the grass wasn’t mowed and it was full of weeds/wild flowers that attracted a lot of bees. A landscaping company was handling the grass around the amenities, just not the sites. Cell service was poor for AT&T users and the WIFI is so-so. We had probably the worst thunderstorm I have ever been in roll through. The sites in front of us flooded out and made leaving difficult. Something truly out of their control. Would stay again... just hoping they work on keeping the sites better maintained. We camped at Cape May KOA in a Travel Trailer.

I really have nothing very positive to say except office people were very friendly. That's where it ends. I would like to preface that I am a very experienced camper and have camped in many places. It should have been a reg flag when I went to reserve a site and was told you cannot choose a site... the bathrooms were filthy... toilets clogged, hair and bugs all over the sinks and muddy shower floors with clogged drains. Bathrooms were not cleaned for at least 2 days. Supposedly there is a 10pm quiet hour which is not enforce AT ALL. First nit a seasonal camper came in and power washed his outdoor furniture at 11:30 at nite... and also blasted his outdoor TV all day the next day and until well after 11pm. 2nd nite obnoxious campers loudly partying until well after midnight. 3rd nite was raining so it was much quieter.. sad when rain while camping is a relief. 5mph speed limit is a joke....especially by the many crazy golf care drivers. Sites were very very tight and flood easy. This is my 2nd stay in a KOA and is definitely my last! We camped at Cape May KOA in a Tent.

Traveling full-time in a 38-foot coach we stayed 2-nights in a site for big rigs. The good....If you desire to stay close to Cape May this would be a good option. The residents occupy all the sites upfront so this is a quiet park, and very well maintained. If you have a dog there's ample area to walk. After 2-nights the dust on our coach was minimal compared to many other parks. Big coaches need a gravel pad, so we give this RV Park a 5-star rating for the thick gravel pad. There was plenty of area next to the coach for sitting outside and setting up a BBQ. The bad...at the front of our site was a big electrical panel. Our cell phones didn't work at our site (probably due to the cursed electrical panel) however, if we walked a distance away, our phones worked fine. That was a definite inconvenience. There is no reason why they should have put us there with all the other open sites. Also, if you have satellite and your staying in a site located on the outside perimeter, you won't receive reception due to all the beautiful tall trees. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again, but we would definitely request a different site. We camped at Cape May KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed in one of the new back in sites, found the staff friendly and helpful. Park is well kept and very clean. We will book here again. All hook ups (water, sewer and cable) were in excellent shape. We did not use the showers or bathrooms so I can`t comment on them. The dog park was large enough and clean. The office is located in the camp store, the store itself was clean and well stocked with the basics. Staff advised us that they were still bringing in product as it was still early in the season. The pool was not open yet but looked nice, there are at least two playgrounds. The roads are gravel once you go past the office but were in good shape. Our site was level side to side. We camped at Cape May KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed at several Cape May location and was a little concerned about Cape May KOA because of past reviews and how old some of the reviews were. This is now a Sun Communities / KOA property, which is a little confusing to me. Regardless, we had a very nice pull through site and all hook ups (water, sewer and cable) were in excellent order. Our interaction with staff was minimal (check-in). I did send an e-mail on Thursday for a Saturday arrival asking what site we were assigned (not requesting a site) and was told that we would be told upon arrival. I was truly surprised by this because the section where we ended up was pretty empty. While I was checking in, the customer service rep was on the phone taking a reservation and she told the caller that sites were assigned upon arrival. I should have asked whether you could request a site, but was in a hurry to get set up. We did not use bathroom or shower facilities but based on the other facilities we saw and the over all camp ground this place was very clean. In addition previous reviews stated that this was not for large RVs but we had no trouble with a 38' fifthwheel and there was a 40'or larger Newmar Mountain Aire that clearly had no issue navigating the campground. I would highly recommend this campground. We camped at Cape May KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Laurie is now Cape May KOA. An older cg, mainly built for small RVs and tenters, now, as a KOA, has built a entire new area for pull-thrus and back-ins for big rigs. Pretty good 50 AMP, not the best, but good. My cheapie plug in volt meter showed low when both roof a/c units were on (mid 90's) so I used propane for my water heater. Not a biggie. The new area sites are large and level. Nice pool, nice lake. Honey wagon is free and will pump your tanks whenever you want. Very friendly staff. Will return. We camped at Cape May KOA in a Motorhome.

My wife and I stayed at the Lake Laurie, Cape May in a travel trailer. We were very disappointed. This is one of the worst campgrounds we have ever been to. We stayed in a new section that was clean and level. The bathrooms in the campground were clogged and dirty and no attempt was made to correct the issue. We walked into the office one evening and the manager was dealing with someone who was complaining about the bathrooms issues and since the office was closing soon, he could not fix it. He stated they would be cleaned the next day. The following day, after we shut down and drained out our toilet in our rig, we wanted to go the bathroom one last time before heading on a nearly 200 mile trip home. The bathrooms were still clogged. This was disgusting. The pool is small. We took a walk around the campground and there were tent sites that had garbage in them, (one had a rug that someone had used as a pad). Its June and a lot of sites still had leaves on them from last fall. There were areas in the park where there was standing water; perfect for mosquito breeding and is a health hazard. There were also no garbage bins or recycling bins in the campground. We wound up taking our garbage and recycling home with us. There was nowhere to park your rig when you check in. We wound up pulling off the side of the road next to the office and blocking some parked cars, but that was the only place where we could park. The WiFi was almost nonexistent. I walked almost directly under one of the WiFi hot spots and still had issues getting a signal. We will not be back. We camped at Cape May KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in a brand new section of the campground. Our site was level and well kept. At the time we were there, there were 3 of us in the whole section. We moved from our assigned site right next to another camper to a site further down, so that there was space around us. We liked it there, and found it very convenient to Cape May. We had an odd encounter. We arrived after the office closed and when we left the next morning, we were asked to sign a waiver for them to use photographed images of us. Really? We were leaving and no one on staff had been around all of our short stay, much less taken our picture. It seemed an unnecessary piece of bureaucracy. We camped at Cape May KOA in a Motorhome.

Lot # 364 is too small for a large RV. We have a 35ft class A. We did not have much room to park our car. Water hook-up is on wrong side. It took two hoses to hook-up. Lot is uneven and floods when it rains. Lot is dirt and not gravel. We camped at Cape May KOA in a Motorhome.

When asked if they sprayed for mosquitos they confirmed, however we were over run by them. I asked for a pull through location when I made reservations: confirmed. Received a back in, escort stated they really don't have any. Quiet time is 10 PM, however the neighbor partied till 12 with a very large bonfire, a yapping little dog and very loud adults. Trying to pull a 33' unit through the wood roads was a challenge, many tree: had war wounds, trees on close corners and over hanging into the road. You must check upper side clearance all of the time. Baths were clean, showers also, some new. The lake was nice. We camped at Cape May KOA in a Travel Trailer.

I camped here with my family in August, and despite the heat, had a great stay. The activities kept the kids entertained. The potholes were bad, but if you are familiar with the area you can attribute it to the quality of the soil in the pine barrens. Our site was nice and shaded which made a huge difference. I would come back. We camped at Cape May KOA in a Motorhome.
