Feb 2017 - $20.00
Limited facility with about 25 of the 50 campsites open to campers up to about 22' in length. We camped here in the winter on a unusually warm weekend. The campground, like all NJ State Park campgrounds, has no hookups. The shower facility was open and hot showers are available all winter. Several of the campsites are along the lake and allow canoe / kayak access right from your site. (# 10 and # 25 seem to be the best but others are available). In the summer there is a functioning beach area for swimming. The lake is quiet except for the occasional ATV riders in the area of which the park police continually chase away or otherwise enforce their restrictions. The location is ok for a day or two if you're running on your own power and water. In addition to decent kayaking / canoeing there are a few small trails for hiking on the opposite side of the campground. There is a two night minimum when reserving online but if you reserve in person during non peak weeks the park staff will accommodate you. - Jim and Ben

Oct 2009 - $50.00
Terrible campground. Overpriced compared to other campgrounds in the area, especially since they have no sewer hookups. The two mile dirt road leading to the campground was full of potholes and was washboard-like because of the rain. Interior roads and sites are narrow with low hanging branches. Many low hanging electrical or cable wires. The wire to the security camera broke off our vent hatch when we arrived because it was hanging so low and we couldn't see it at night. There was broken glass all over our campsite. Internet and cell phone service was almost non-existent. When we left we had to have someone get on top of our trailer to lift branches and wires out of the way as we drove out. We would not stay here again. - poema304

Sep 2016 - $100.00
This was our first time staying at Hospitality Creek and were not very impressed! If I was charged $45-50 a night I would have no complaints; however when they charge $100 a night and have a 3 night minimum I expect a very nice campground. That is not the case at all. Unfortunately the campground is littered with numerous run down seasonal sites. Water park and pool were ok, nothing spectacular. Property has quite the laundry list of rules, however I saw no one enforcing them. Site was very un-level. If we were to come back it would only be to stay in one of the lakefront sites. - SJEAGLES609
Jul 2016 - $90.00
Great place to spend time camping. The staff was outstanding; were there to help you. One of the problems I had was with the pools. The campground is also a pool club and the pools where always packed and very loud. They had things for the campers to do at night and the band they had for the 4th was great. The last thing for the money you pay I wished they had concrete pads very sandy. - 4 DVC Fans
Jan 2016 - $90.00
First off, our last stay was August last year (and many times prior). We live very close to this campground; which at first I questioned why tow to somewhere so close. First time there I realized why. PLENTY of things to do. Excellent pools, one for the kids and one for the adults. Also, a great lakeside beach with plenty of stuff for the kids. Canoe, paddle boat and flat bottom boat rentals at the ready. Boat launch is there. Sites are pretty accessible. The staff is GREAT! And aside from having things for the kids, they do adult-only things too. If you're thinking about checking it out, do it - you won't regret it! - Wildwood Camper

great place, good value, nice people and a lot of activities. - Gcman
Aug 2016 - $80.00
This is the best campground I've ever been to! The staff was great and friendly. My kids spent a lot of time at the parks and at the craft shack. They loved it! We set up camp by the Wading River. The water and electric made life easier. We were able to plug in our radios and play music the whole time! Everyone followed the rule of no noise pass 10pm. The store and arcade were fun and entertaining! My kids would spend time playing games and buying slushies. The bathrooms were cleaned as much as they could be very frequently. I would always see staff cleaning the bathrooms and would always say hi. The ladies that worked the store were polite as well. They tried to speed up the signing in process to the best of their ability. The ATM inside the store helped too. If I was short on cash I could use it. It was so convenient. I trusted my kids to wander around because every one was so nice. Everyone watched out for the kids and helped them if they needed. My kids usually came back to our site on a golf cart! This was the best choice for a summer vacation ever! I would recommend this campground to anyone! - 00Camper00
Oct 2013 - $80.00
Site fee covers two adults. Children/teens are extra and this boosted our site fee up to $80 per night for three nights. Check-in - The office/store appeared dirty. Not just dirt from the ground, but old and run down. The staff was just plain old nasty. A little further into our stay and we realized the employees all seem to be seasonal people or maybe they just lived there all year. Either way, not nice at all. Site - Was narrow and not deep at all. Had a constant smell of sewer. Asked to be moved and was accommodated, but new site smelled the same. The smell of sewage kept us from eating outdoors. Amenities - Bare bones. A hayride for little kids and that's about it. The pool was closed. This campground is not family friendly at all. All in all - The place seems to be a party place. Speeding golf carts all over the place driven round and round all day and night by people with drinks/beers in their hands. They stop to talk after a few hours, but by then they are so drunk you have no idea what they are saying. Just walk away from them. The river was nice but the "beach" area was completely littered with trash. We canoed and had a great time on the river. The bathrooms were deplorable. Not just old and run down but absolutely filthy. Thankfully we didn't have to use them. This place is so over rated it's not funny. Even if it were just the two of us, we wouldn't return. Just way too sleazy for me. - travlinfamily

This is a rustic camping area located on the Wading River. Excellent location for canoing in Wharton State Forest. This is not for motorhomes or travel trailers. Perfect for tents and popups. There is drinking water available as well as a usable bath house. Nothing fancy. Lots of Scout groups camping in here. Watch out for loose sand spots, you can get your vehicle stuck. Patrolled by NJ Park rangers who do enforce posted regulations. This location for those that enjoy and are equipped for rustic camping only. - hiker1

This campground is a bit outdated, but the sites are so beautiful, that we didn’t even care. The site was clean, spacious and since we had a lake front site, it was gorgeous! The camp store has everything you would need and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Even though the park itself could use a little updating, we still loved it here and will definitely be back! - Alex And Denise
Aug 2018 - $43.00
Park needs work. Branch hanging over road, got a nice scratch. Lots of standing water. Sites poorly defined. Don't go near the washrooms, spider webs, wires from pay shower hanging ou , and just kind of old. Has a nice beach area, quiet & felt very safe here. - lv ron
Aug 2012 - $45.00
We had a lake front site and the views from our rear window were spectacular. Everyone we came in contact with were very friendly. I was able to pull in quite of few TV stations from overhead without a problem. This park is older, but well maintained. Some of the sites had the electric and water on the curb side of the site which means you need long cords and hoses to hook up. My wife & I enjoyed our stay here and will return. - GlennNJ

Dec 2018 - $40.00
Planned this as a weather stop over but was surprised we could get anywhere in Philly from here. Be advised they are stopping service at this location end of December 31 2018. Even though it is simply a parking lot and does have water and electric available and a central dump station. It was a great location to base your RV and visit Philly. - Art Goldsmith
Oct 2018 - $36.00
It's hard to rate this one. It's a parking lot in South Philly. Their primary business is as a park and ride for people going to the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, but there are about a dozen spaces with hookups crammed closely together on one side of the lot, and overflow parking for a bunch more. Shuttles run between the lot and the hospital 24/7. It's about a 5 minute ride to the hospital, then there are public transit connections to everywhere else (about 15-20 minutes to the tourist locations in the center of the city). Or it's a $10, 15 minute Lyft ride directly from the park to the center of town. The employees were all super friendly and helpful. Between the razor wire perimeter, bright lights, and the presence of bus drivers and other campers, it seemed safe enough. The lot has all of the basics, restrooms and showers that I never looked at (someone else said they were actually pretty good), dump station, dumpster. There's a small patch of grass by the entrance if your dog needs it. There's also a fair bit of trash around, and it's next to a train yard. Between the trains, buses, and a jerk who appears to be living in the last campsite next to the tracks with some loud motorized bike that he likes to ride around the parking lot in the evenings, it's not quiet. But it's very convenient for visiting Philly, and very cheap when compared to other big city RV parks. If you can pick your site, the ones in the front, farthest from the railroad tracks, are quietest. If I were visiting Philly again, yes, I would stay here again. But a lush state park it ain't. - AnnP
Sep 2018 - $61.00
This park is Urban Camping at it's best. It is super close to all of fun and historical things to do in Philadelphia. Campus Park & Ride is essentially a commuter parking lot next to a warehouse that has electric and water connections at each site. It is a no frills place to safely connect your RV, camp and enjoy one of the best cities on the East Coast. Their staff is SUPER friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations. - ETCTA

I have been there a few times now. I still love the place but we had a problem friday night with no way to get in touch with anyone. The bath House Hot water was out. They got on it Sat morning right away and it worked fine Sat night. - ztoymaker
May 2017 - $35.00
My Parents stayed there years ago and when I got my TT I had to come back. It's a great place and will come back again. One of the owners was great; we came up to the store on Saturday and ended up getting what we needed and then just sitting with her talking for over an hour. The pool wasn't open yet but everything else was. They have their own power boat dock or just bring your kayaks. The lake is about a mile long. We went on a small hike that could have gone for miles. I would say it's a mix of seasonal or full timers but even they were great. We hung out with some of them. We stayed in spot 60 and I didn't even have to level it; when I stopped it was perfect.
Boating, Jet Skiing, Kayaking, or Hiking. Or just hanging out by the Fire Ring. It's the perfect Camp Site for a weekend get away. - ztoymaker
Jul 2010 - $25.00
No words can describe this campground. Maybe unkempt, dirty, worn, scary. Way off the beaten path. Hard to get to. Rusted seasonals with broken down rigs. Broken windows on live a boards. Large equipment in parts, strewn around. Pavilion held up with wires and was leaning dangerously to one side. We toured this campground and left. I would NEVER recommend this place. - destinygal

Aug 2018 - $35.00
Stayed overnight on our way home in a pull through for half price with Passport America. I don't think it was even worth half price. Nice pool that closed promptly at 6pm. We really wanted to enjoy a swim on this hot evening. The dirtiest mixture of sand and mucky clay was used that day to fill in giant potholes filled with water near our site. The "lake" was as disgusting as the rest of the ghetto. Yes, this is a ghetto. The top of our motorhome was within two feet of a major power line feeding the campground but it was attached to trees and looked like it was installed by Mr. Fix-it himself. No breaker just a 30 amp outlet. Have you ever seen golf carts do doughnuts? Bored Teenagers from the permanent residents across the street. Ever wonder what happened to the old stadium seating? It's here for your enjoyment in the common area near the pool. Just bring something to wipe off the spiders. Enough said. - Ski Bum
Jun 2017 - $25.00
Timberline Lake was delightful, and the people couldn't have been more friendly. We stayed pre-season, but it looks like they have lots of activities planned for the summer. The only downside is that the overwhelming majority of the campground is seasonal campers with permanent setups. On the other hand, the short-term sites are right on the water and beautiful. - Miles and Smiles
Sep 2016 - $50.00
This is a large park in need of a serious upgrade; old, shabby and mostly cramped sites. Broken tree limbs and old leaves, brown looking brush scattered throughout. Lots of seasonal people with accumulations of every single thing they ever bought to decorate their site for the last 10 years. Mind-boggling!! They have a pool, attractive and pretty nice but too small for the amount of campers there. There is a lake for guests with a small sandy beach area on it. However the color of the lake was a weird dark inky color. I did not swim in it. We were told that what is now a lake was once filled with cranberry bogs. Maybe that is why I was not moved to swim in it! We used it as a home base for 4 days to see the area and did not spend much time in the park, so that was OK. The employees in the office i must say were very nice. Would I return...No! - Roseann Pummill
