We've been traveling a loop around the country and have seen dozens of campgrounds. This is one of the good ones. Clean bathrooms and laundry rooms. HUGE pull throughs that you could drive a 747 through. Great water pressure. The sewer connection was a tiny bit high on our site. The only down side (that many parks suffer from) is wifi issues. We used AT&T and were able to stream off our phones instead. The staff and owner are the kindest you will meet, hands down! We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Check out the Petroglyphs, the nearby ghost town, White Sands national park, and grab a pistachio ice cream across the street from your stay at Boot Hill to top off your stay at this excellent park!

Long, level gravel pull through. Easy check in and reservations. Utilities easy accessible and worked fine. No cable but a few over the air tv stations and clear view for satellite. We have stayed here before and will again. Fairly close to busy highway but very little noise. Didn't try their wi-fi. Great place for an overnight. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We will return to this town and this very nice park - we stayed 2 Days site # 502 65ft long pull thru. There is so much to see and do but we only had 2 days available this trip. All sites are very clean and large from what we could see. Management was as good as it gets. Only reason we didn't give it a 10 is the picnic tables are not movable and we wanted to move ours. We camped at Boot Hill RV Park in a Fifth Wheel. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

White Sands National Monument is 15 -20 miles away, and worth the drive. Pistachio store and Winery across the street from the campground. Visit White Sands National Monument and try sledding on the sand. The 1st Atomic Bomb was detonated in White Sands area. There are many more places to visit in the surrounding area if you have the time. If you like BBQ Ribs you gotta try Smoking BBQ restaurant for great food.

We returned to Boot Hill several years after opening and the improvements are evident as the campground matures. Trees are beautiful and all sites immaculately clean. Management could not possibly be nicer or more welcoming - highly recommended. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pros: Clean, nice sized lots, friendly staff. Great dog runs (but no bags, so bring some) Cons: Understaffed, no security at night. No reinforcements of the park rules. There was a large group that partied until way after midnight, no-one said anything to them, we were right next door. It didn't seem that the management were sympathetic to our dilemma about having to endure the parties when we mentioned it. Probably won't return. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a wonderful RV Park. Very clean and well kept. Lots of room between RV sites. Owners were very friendly and loaned us a disk to use at White Sands NP and slide down the sand dunes. We would highly recommend this park to others. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We supposed Boot Hill RV Resort was just a fancy name for a low-frills RV park, but they deserve the designation. Beautiful park in stunning scenery-Alamogordo is surrounded by mtns. on 3 sides (park is ca. 7 mi. north of town); altitude is high enough (4300'), along w/desert climate, that it gets cold at night. They have covered sites for RVs (some for toads/ tow vehicles) & cute little cabins interspersed among regular back-in sites (every site is FHU; electric is metered except at cabins [elec included]). There's a section for pull-through only. Great opportunities for a long walk. Gift shop; large picnic area w/grills; lots of privacy fencing (& other decorative fencing); nice large, private showers; coin-op laundry w/large-capacity machines ($2 each) & nice bk/puzzle exchange; lots of room to get in & out of nice-sized sites; dog walks & fenced dog runs. Each site has a picnic table. Owners seem to take great pride in the park & are very involved in running it. For beauty & conveniences the park's rates were low, we thought. But before we left, their website showed they had raised their rates dramatically-$100/mo. higher for some sites! (although the office personnel didn't seem to know this, & we were assured that as long as we stayed we wouldn't pay the higher rate). Loved the town of Alamogordo! People & businesses all seemed friendlier than even the usual NM friendliness-we had propane tanks filled at Servi-Gas, & they wouldn't let us pay! They said, 'Just come back when you need a refill!' (The rate they regularly charge was quite a bit less than other suppliers, too.) Downsides: traffic on US54 was very loud; even at the back of the property you heard semis blasting as they passed. Military base in the area has jets passing overhead. Water tasted horrible, even after filtering it, & there was dirt in it. Surprisingly, too, there was such an exclusive, clique-ish-almost unfriendly-atmosphere there that we were really not unhappy to leave. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We decided to stay a week to have some repairs (Alamo RV & Truck Ctr) done and to scout the local area. Restrooms were clean as well as the entire campground. Shows pride of ownership. The campground is well laid out and easy to maneuver around and into your space. Pull thru sites were about 90 feet long and can handle most RV's. Swear and water was well planned out with no lines crossing one another. A little noise from the road but nothing that really disturbed my sleep. We will camp here again on our way through. One of the nicest parks we have visited. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. The pull thru site was very level, long, wide and angled. The wi-fi was decent and all hook-ups worked well. This was an overnight stop. We had driven by this park several times and finally decided to try it out, and we're glad we did. Nice folks, good, long pull through sites that easily accommodates big rigs. The sites are all gravel but well maintained. And it is a great value. Every thing worked just as you'd expect in a resort site. This is our new stopover location when traveling on US-54 headed to Kansas from Arizona. We camped at Boot Hill RV Resort in a Motorhome.
