We have never paid so much for an RV site. Especially one where our site has no trees or landscaping, no view, and so much noise from the trucking facility next door and Highway 40 a stone’s throw away. What a ripoff. We will NOT stay again, even if it IS during Balloon Fiesta. We camped at American RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We've stayed here several times traveling through Albuquerque. We had a pull through site which was long enough to stay hooked up to our tow. You're guided to the site. The park is clean and safe. A light breakfast is available daily. No problem with road noise. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This was our second stay at this park. We were so impressed the first time, we returned. The park has changed owners since our last visit and things have only gotten better. The park is immaculately clean, easy to navigate and well attended by personnel. Security gates and fencing were added. I would give my highest recommendation and would stay again if in the area. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night passing through. We were a late arrival and they sent us an email with clear instructions on what to do. They also followed up with a phone call to ensure we received the instructions. There is aket coded gate for entrance into the park and they will provide that if arriving late. Upon arrival, it was easy to locate the site and hook everything up even after dark. There is a dedicated dog park, kids play after, pool and a lot of other features. There are new trees and mature trees and for being right off the highway, I liked the site and park. I will definitely stay here again anytime in Albuquerque. We camped at American RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The park is nice, they have secure gates to ensure no unwanted people to the park. The showers are older but clean and very well maintained. They have a continental breakfast each morning in the clubhouse, with good seating and spacious. They have a newer (3yrs old) section of the RV park on the east side with cement pads and patios with picnic tables. The older section to the west has lots of trees and grass. I believe that a camper would like the newer section better, because of the layout. The old section has a few short comings, several stickers type weeds that hurt your feet as well as your animals. The ant situation is bad on the west side, hard to get rid of ants once they invade your RV. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

American RV Resort is located just off of IH 40. The resort is very clean and tidy. The older part of the park has mature trees that make for shady sites. We were in the new section and there are trees, just not mature enough to provide shade. The restrooms were clean and they have two laundry facilities, neither which I used. There is a small park for the kids and a nice swimming pool. Our site had a concrete pad, was level, and long enough for our 40' rig and truck. All of the utilities were in great working order - there were two sewer hookups, making it easy for any rig to connect. The road noise is noticeable when outside, but it did not bother us. The nightly fee includes a continental breakfast each morning, the small store appeared to be well stocked, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We camped at American RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown Albuquerque has a lovely Old Town Square for those that like shopping and of course the native influence on the food here is wonderful. This RV park is located directly across from Camping World if you need their services.

We enjoy staying at this park when we are in Albuquerque. We stay in the Big Rig section. All sites there are satellite friendly but there is cable as well. Wi Fi works decently. There is no grass in this section for the dogs but plenty of spaces nearby. Lots of room to walk them, too. There is a decent dog park in the middle of the campground next to the kids playground. There are two laundries; one by the office & one in the middle of the older section of the park. The office are very pleasant & helpful. There is a pool & a hot tub. There is a small gift area in the office. A continental breakfast is served at the office for short term guests (under a month's stay). It must be eaten there not taken back to your RV. There are plenty of places to eat in Albuquerque local chains & independent restaurants as well. We stayed here 3 weeks this time & will definitely be back again. American RV has been our stopover in Albuquerque for years. Although we don't think it really deserves the name "resort" it has been a clean, convenient, and comfortable place to overnight. The staff has always been great and the price is reasonable. This trip, however, held a few surprises. Most notable are (1) a security fence with passcode gate; and (2) the decline of the upkeep. We also learned that the property has changed hands since our last visit. - (1) Security Fence: I'm sure the the locked fence lessens the chance that an undesirable person or persons (that are not paying guests) would come on the property, but the placement of the gate code pedestal is so far to the left and so close to the fence post that unless you are driving a little sporty car it is unlikely you can access the keyboard from in your vehicle without some skillful maneuvering. They could have done much better but appear to have taken the cheap route. - (2) Upkeep: Throughout the park, the weeds are taking over (see photo) and are 12 to 18 inches tall. Even in the all paved big-rig area where there is no grass or trees, the weeds have gained a strong foothold. We also noticed multiple curbs that have been broken (presumably having been run over) and not repaired. Before we come through Albuquerque again we will be checking our options as to another place to stay. We drive a 45ft motor coach and tow vehicle. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Gated park right off the Interstate for easy on/off - with the accompanying road noise. It didn't bother us but if you are troubled by noise at night you may need to think about it. Spacing between sites is reasonable and the internal roads were easy to maneuver our 45 foot MotorHome. However, our site was barely long enough to accommodate our MotorHome and towed vehicle. It took some creative parking of our car to fit it in. This park has perhaps the best WiFi I've experienced. A speed test in the middle of the day registered > 4Mbps. Pool, dog park, free continental breakfast and friendly staff. We would stay again if in the neighborhood. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is our favorite place to stay in Albuquerque. We had some issues with the WiFi but after working with the tengonet vender we were able to get on and stay on for 11 days. We were placed in a spot that was tight for our big rig which did not make sense when there were so many other spots that we could have easily parked with room to spare. The bush between our site and the next was so large, it took up part of the patio leaving no room for the picnic table. We just happened to stop in the office the day before we left and found out the rates had changed during our stay and they were retroactively applying them to our stay. The lady behind the desk could not back them out but said the manager would fix it. We'll see if they did as they promised. As we pulled out, the tree next to our site got in the way, but we were able to push the branches out of the way with our washing brush. We camped at American RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an excellent park. Very well maintained, and clean. They even offer a free continental breakfast. Different sections cater to different sized rigs, and all are easy to access. Fully paved so no dust. Even though it's near the interstate, it was quiet at night. It is fully fenced and gated, which adds to the feeling of security.
