All paved roads with spacious sites. Good satellite reception and Verizon service. Nice swimming pool. There is real grass in the dog parks which our mid-west dogs liked. Our specific site needed a bit of TLC on the grass but it was pretty good. Shuttle service to the casino if you want to eat or gamble there. About 10 miles west of Albuquerque. A little confusing navigating your way into the park from I-40 because of all the other casino-related areas and those silly round-abouts so drive slowly and watch your signs carefully. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great park with extra long concrete pads. High water pressure so bring a regulator. Spacious spots. Would have given it a 10 if it had cable tv. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The main restaurant in the casino was very good. They also have a buffet restaurant and several fast food outlets at the travel plaza on site. I would probably even stay here if I wanted to do things in Albuquerque because of the paved sites and roads (those closer to down are gravel and they can get quite dusty when there is a lot of wind, which there usually is, in this area)

We've stayed in this RV park a couple times and love this park. It's got great showers, 2 dog parks, a dog wash that has a groomers tub, a fantastic pool, and club house. The sites are nice with level concrete slabs. Some even have grass. The paved roads are easy to navigate. Theres a shuttle to the casino. This time we ate at Thunder Road and very much enjoyed our meals. The Wifi was good. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hands down, one of the best parks we have stayed in! This is our second visit and we have already booked for next year. The sites are beautiful and generously spaced. Easy to navigate roads. Concrete pads for all sites. The back in ones have a concrete area for the picnic table and a patch of grass; long pull throughs have an extra brick overlay next to concrete. Nice plantings, however, they don't provide shade. The staff is great and take good care of you. Pool is first-class, nice chaise lounges, etc. Club house has coffee, hot chocolate and ice coffee free all day. Garbage pick up at your site. You won't regret staying here! Overall Rating:

This is a relatively new CG behind, and part of, a casino & hotel complex about 15 miles west on I-40 of Albuquerque. Its obviously been built with significant investment (all that casino money), and is top notch in its design, maintenance, management, and amenities. Hence the unusually consistently high ratings. The interior roads are well laid out, sites are all FHU with level cement pad, asphalt driveway, with at least half being pull-thrus. Backins are easy and most get a well maintained (watered) grassy area next to the pad. Big Rigs will have no trouble with room for puller truck or toad. Utilities are good, wifi better than average (although still slow in the evenings). No Cable TV but plenty of OTA. Shower houses reflect the newness of the CG, and are clean. Fenced Dog-parks for off-lease running around. Nice clubhouse, laundry, pool, etc. The views of the open range behind the casino are excellent, however, winds coming across those plains can be pretty strong, keep your awning rolled up tight. The CG is part of the RT 66 Casino, so there are some special deals for the casino buffet, and promotional enticements for the casino itself. Free shuttle comes in minutes when you call. Two cautions, though: 1) their water pressure is high, you must use a regulator, and 2) their address in GPS will put you in the wrong place. Just look for exit I-40 west #140, and follow the signs (through 2 roundabouts). It's in the back of the complex, hard to miss. Their price is really reasonable, I have paid much more for a lot less many times - must be the casino strategy to entice people to come here. The only negative I can even think of is the location is so far west of Albuquerque, it's a 15 mile drive back up on I-40 to get to town. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful resort! Facilities and grounds are clean and well manicured! Having the casino within walking distance was great - great food and good prices. Our site was a deluxe site with picnic table and grass for our pets. This resort is a very pet friendly park. The clubhouse is beautiful and I would be remiss if I didn't mention the restrooms ! Beautiful! I have posted photos of the resort! Highly recommend! The manager was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Be sure that when traveling in this part of the country we recommend you have a power surge protector and we also purchased a water softener. At this resort a water softener was not needed as water was good quality! We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park! Everything looks brand new! The restrooms ... well let's just say one would love to have something like that in their own home! They have a game/den like room with several table games, then they have a supply of board games, etc. A nice television and good seating. There are great deals on meals at the Casino - so take advantage of them. A coupon for $5 off a meal, which almost covers breakfast, then another coupon for a discount on a certain breakfast. All in all this is an awesome park! They also have a shuttle that will take you to the famous Laguna Burger (they are to die for!) across the interstate. Highly recommend this park! This is a really nice RV resort connected to the Route 66 Casino, which means easy access to entertainment and several dining options. We found ourselves going to Albuquerque quite often as there were only limited options nearby - such as no liquor store (interestingly, a liquor license in New Mexico can get up to a million dollars so there aren't very many around!). The site is really clean, the facilities everywhere are absolutely immaculate and new. The concrete pads are all very level and nicely spaced. One word to the wise: if you come to Albuquerque in the Spring plan on almost nonstop high winds and do not plan to extend your awning except on the rare calm days - of which there are few. The staff are all great and the view isn't too bad overall. We probably rank this as in our top 5 places to stay as far as really nice RV parks go - but it's pretty pricey to stay here and you will see many multi million dollar rigs around, so if you are self conscious about your 15 plus year old rig then you'll be doubly so here. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Be very careful if using your GPS to get here. It's located about 12 miles west of Albuquerque. Take Exit 140 on I-40 and you can't go wrong. The sites are very large. The lounge is the best I have ever seen. Trash is picked up at your site no matter when you put out. If you want to go to the casino to gamble, see a show or just eat, they have a shuttle that will pick you up and return you to your site. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.
