This was the 5th consecutive year we have spent at this wonderful small rv park! We gave a blast and are like family. We welcome new 'family ' members ' come join us! Potlucks every week and great fish fries! We camped at West Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

It was quiet, although it's close to the highway. The park area was neat and clean. The laundry room/library was very clean, and easily accessible. Beautiful landscaped oasis near the park office. We enjoyed several breakfasts, luncheons, and ice cream sodas. The owners are onsite, and always making sure their patrons were doing okay, and that everything was working well.

We did have to buy a WiFi booster, for internet, but the great view of the lake, (only half a mile down the road)and the family-like atmosphere, made our 2 1/2 months a great experience!

Loved it, and hopefully we can come back and spend another summer here! We camped at West Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cozy family-owned park with fantastic view of Eagle Nest Lake and mountains on all sides. Pavilion in center of park is meeting point for most RVers each afternoon. Many friendships developed there. An afternoon shower is the norm, but cool temperatures and low humidity make this a great place for the summer. We camped at West Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Taos is 45 minutes away. Angel Fire is 10 minutes, where there's great zip-lining, good restaurants.

After boondocking for a week at the Eagle Nest Lake State Park (just across the fence from here) we needed a place to put our 36' MH & toad while we did wash, cleaned up, etc. The other commercial parks in the area were extremely expensive and one, you will pass it as you enter the State Park, is darn right dismal! West Lake is managed and priced as a 'hobby park' as the owner puts it...no restrooms or other stuff to clean-up. Some weeds, nothing special, your neighbor is close...but it is quiet, clean and functional. We spent 2 nights to get done what we had to and moved on. Many of the campers seemed to be fishermen who left early to drive the 1/4 mile to the lake and returned in the evening. Campsites are in a loop, many are not too level but you make your best pick; easy entrance and movement. We camped at West Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This is a place to use after boondocking at the local state park or to use for one night as you pass through. (Unless you are a dedicated fisherman and want a full hookup, reasonable campground to sit in while you have easy, close access to the Eagle Nest Lake. Park your boat trailer on the lawn behind the campground.)
