2 RV Parks near Fort Sumner, New Mexico
Jul 2017 - $18.00
Beautiful park, great stop with kids. - mfcros
May 2017 - $14.00
This is a very nice state park campground in a beautiful high desert grassland area with great views. Sites are very well spaced. Few trees, but all sites have a shelter over the picnic table. Mesquite Campground on the east side has views of the lake. At $14 for a site with water and electric, this is a real bargain. The rate includes a day park permit. Note that only a few sites have 50 amp. Dump station available. - jwppagosa
Apr 2017 - $4.00
Nice park. Most sites have a nice view of Sumner Lake. Main road is paved but campground roads are gravel. Nice dump station. There are 5 or 6 different campgrounds. Some primitive and some with water and electric. Appears to be only 30 amp sites. Great sunrises and sunsets. Lake would probably be good fishing if one has a boat. All sites have a covered patio... some are three sided adobe structures. - jprisbe
Sep 2018 - $20.00
Stayed here 2 nights. There is a self check-in at the entrance. If you have reservations, it will be marked at your site. Level gravel pull-throughs. A nice place for an overnight stop or to see the Billy-the-Kid museum and grave a short distance away. Verizon hot spot was fine. Campground WiFi was good. DISH satellite worked well. Clean and quiet. There is a garbage can at each site, so no long walks to dumpsters. - therealSimpsons

Very adequate overnight stop. Easy to find, level sites, FHU, good WiFi - tbax46
Aug 2018 - $20.00
Good overnighter. No facilities. Wi-if better than most. Water pressure good, electric good. Sites are natural with plenty of depth/width. Unbelievably level. Right on Hwy 84, so expect traffic noise. Also, train tracks at back side. - dwade
