Stopped for 1 night and extended 3 more nights as we liked this campground. Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Campground is on a hill but most sites were fairly level. Our site was level so I didn't need blocks. It is a bit tight due to the juniper trees but these provide privacy and some shade. Water and electric were good, we did not use the sewer system. Store was well stocked and there was free coffee each morning. Wifi was fine for the first 3 days but with a full campground on day 4 it slowed down. - RV'er

They did not have my pull thru site available, even though booked weeks in advance. After checking on his computer for 15 minutes as he took care of two small children he found me a back in site that was a challenge to get in. As a bonus, it happened to be on two different Ant colonies. I told the office person about them immediately, and he promised some would be out the the morning.. No one showed, and as far as I know, the ants are still well fed! We have since found a few black Ants in our coach. They did comp me for one night.. and apologized. WiFi was non-existent.. literally, It was just OK first day, second day it was gone. Their tech was not able to resolve.. This place is not run very well, and we will not stop here again. On the plus side, it was very quite at night.. they had a nice park area for evening walks.. - Jwcruzn

We have stayed in Santa Fe area several times and found the same thing at all the RV parks we have stayed at. They are older, usually tight spaces. and mostly have deferred maintenance issues. Rancheros de Santa Fe Campground is the lowest rating I have given a campground in a long time. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the park is old, has deferred maintenance issues, roads are dirt, rough, uneven, narrow, or worse. Some campsites are level, or have a level spot, some are not. Appears that there are some seasonal residents, but in all those sites looked reasonably kept up. Water pressure was low but use able, power is fine, wifi ok for emails etc. You are about 15 minutes to Santa fe here, 20 to 25 minutes to down town area. Only grocery store close- 3 miles away is high priced, poorly stocked (but has a great liquor section) if you are thirsty. Even though we are 70 miles away from balloon festival this park charges higher rates during the weeks surrounding that event, be ware!!!! You can easily spend 2 weeks exploring Santa Fe, or a whole summer, but finding a great place to stay in Santa Fe area is tough. - Johnny xxxxx

We were very disappointed in this park.It is an old park and the roads are not well kept - rutted in many places. Our site was a pull through but it was made difficult due to the rutted roads and the angle of departure. Our site was long, but very hilly and we had to unhook to be level. There was plenty of room to park behind RV if you wanted to park on a hill! There were a lot of permanent RVers in this park. We will book ahead at the KOA next time we are in the area. There was Cable. WiFi was good, but phone service (Verizon) was lousy. The dog park was used for socializing and we were only able to use it once during our stay. - PatJ3

Rough roads, very small and uneven sites. Very difficult to back-in to our site. Not enough room for our TT and TV without the bumper sticking out into the road. Not a good value at all. Will not stay here again. - Piperjim
