Enjoyable stay. Sites a little close but pleasant. Lots of gravel, no sand spurs. There is a bar/ restaurant at end of RV park with a gate so no car needed to access it. The 4 dog parks were great. One closest to us fenced, grass with agility equipment and adjacent to it was one with lower fence for smaller dogs. Had trouble with RV tires leaving, and staff member fixed problem on site. Two more dog parks with mock oil well, more agility equipment. A dog lovers dream if it's humans choose to stay here. Very convenient to Bernadillo, great shopping, restaurants, and outstanding dog day care nearby, Canine Country Club. - Andrea W

This is a awesome facility, staff is helpful and down to earth. I will definitely use them in the future. Only 15 minutes north of ABQ. If you need parts, Aloha RV is just down the way ;). Propane on site. - Canonman16
Oct 2018 - $46.00
We were in a long pull thru with good utilities and enough room to park the truck behind the trailer. The site sloped to the rear, but not a problem leveling. Sky was open for dish despite trees growing alongside the pad. Office staff was friendly and helpful. Laundry was $3.50 wash/dry. - ronboett

Convenient overnight stay kind of place. But that's it. It's a large, open space so keep an eye on the forecast for winds. We left a day early because of predicted winds. Also lots of random traffic... people apparently drag racing or doing doughnuts in the gravel. Also generally noisy due to big rigs idling in the truck stop area at the I-25 end of the park. Sits between the casino employees parking lot and an unused and apparently waiting-for-demolition motorsports track / stadium. As of our stay, there were large piles of demolition debris and detritus at the far end of the RV park, which included a lot of trash. You find a spot, then go in to the casino and speak to the person at the customer service desk right when you walk in to pay for your site (so remember your spot #). They send a security guard over to unlock the padlock on your electrical box. Water and dump stations are along the road into the spaces. There is currently not a code needed to dump, but mostly because the box seems busted. There's just an awful lot of construction and demolition going on. The gas station / travel shop is also being renovated. Please note that the casino and all its properties are on the San Felipe Pueblo reservation. Benefit: cheap gas, casino gaming. Drawbacks: absolutely no alcohol allowed, including that consumed in your own RV (that may be a benefit sometimes actually). And no photography. Or sketching. Or paintings. Or even really vivid memories. NOT just of ceremonies or of the historical pueblo, which culturally makes total sense as a rule... But anything. Lots of stories online about cellphones and cameras being confiscated. - Regen Road Trip

Underutilized gem! Even during Balloon Fiesta, it's not overrun with noisy neighbors. RV lot is behind Casino and adjacent to truck lot, yet VERY quiet at night. Drive past Casino and hang a right into the RV space area. Pick a level site lined up to a power pedestal and park. Power boxes are locked until you pay, security is speedy getting back out to the lot before you to unlock the power box. Dump station is between RV area and casino (2 sites, with potable water). Water is potable but having seen others handling sewer hoses, THEN the drinking water hose, I bleach the works before I connect a drinking water hose to the spigot. The lot is very dark at night, enough to enjoy the stars. Have seen 1-3 coyotes while walking dogs, including one walking right through the park early in the am. I came here because of no space during Balloon Fiesta, and stayed because of the peace and quiet, and hospitality of the casino staff-very friendly. I see Casino security driving rounds regularly day and night, very reassuring. If passing through, dry camping (free) is available just north of the RV spaces, in front of the motorsports building (where the coyotes are hanging out). Dump station has a credit card box for payment ($10) if you are not paying to stay at RV park (code). Water pressure on filling water tank is low, so a full fill will take some time. The only weird happening: one Saturday, without prior notice, the Pueblo of San Felipe declared the pueblo (casino, gas station, restaurant) closed for a religious ceremony. They erected a barrier at the on/off ramps and closed everything until 4 pm. If you come upon this on any of the pueblos, just pull over and wait. - GoldSeeker
Aug 2018 - $20.00
This is definitely only an overnight stay place, but as such, it has a lot to commend it. It's right off the interstate, the sites are wide and long and easy to get into, you won't have to unhook anything, there's a travel station across the road, and the little mexican cafe has tasty food. I thought it was a bargain even for only electric sites, and there is a dump and water station at the entrance. - KAP99

This business renamed itself Black Mesa Casino Travel Center RV park in December 2017. The RV park is a wide open area with pull through sites behind the Casino, with power at each site. The only water and dump site is communal ($10, if not paying for RV site) at the front of the RV park. All power pedestals are padlocked until you pay overnight fee at Guest Services in the Casino. Security will drive down and unlock the site number you pay for, you will get the code for the dump station with overnight fee, or just pay by credit card reader at the dump site. You may boondock (free) behind the RV park, near the motorsports park, but shut the genset off at 10pm, or security will knock on your door. Heed area wind warnings. RV park is in a natural bowl, making winds damaging to slideout covers. Pulled my slides in windy nights. - GoldSeeker

Just a big gravel parking lot with electrical hookups. Good 50 amp service. Dump station and water fill station. Could be very crowded if they were full. Good for an overnight stop. - StarlifterFE
Jul 2017 - $20.00
It is basically a gravel lot. Electric is very good and has very easy access to sites. There is only electric at the sites with a dump station and water station. The casino has good food and very reasonable. Great for an overnight stay. Only problem that I saw was people have not picked up after their pets. Pet owners fault not the casinos fault. - gadawg

WiFi was good. Cell service very good. Easy in/out. Nice covered patio. No sewer at site, central dump. Excellent Mountain View Will return. - Jimmy Swager
Jul 2018 - $30.00
Entrance was very difficult to spot due to major construction on the surface street. We missed the turn and it was difficult to find a turn around due to the construction. That said, check in was easy and the spaces were very nice with each space having a covered picnic area. Shared water spigot between two sites which was a bit awkward. No sewer but dump easy to access. Nice walking areas and close to Coronado Monument. - cchall112
Jul 2018 - $30.00
Park was hard to find due only to the road construction and the extremely busy access road, Hwy 550. Once in the park the pull thru spaces were nice. Between the fifth wheel and the truck we needed 50', we fit well. We did not have to disconnect from the truck and we were level in the fifth wheel. There is a nice shelter with picnic table. The bathroom and showers were pretty far from us but there was a path through the brush. Traffic noise and was the only detractor, but we could barely hear it inside the fifth wheel. Two 50 amp and the rest are 30 amp, water connections at these sites. There is a dump station that you can hit on the way out of the park, or before if needed. A few trees in the area and the spaces are not real close to each other. - MnCadventure

nice park with easy access for big rigs. Wonderful view of mountains. The only problem was the internet. Mail only. For the price they should improve the internet. Very kind check in. - Jimmy Swager
Sep 2018 - $48.00
We chose this park because of the convenience of being between ALB and Santa Fe. The park is clean and the two fenced pet areas are nice. There are several full timers throughout the park. The park is arranged for all pull through sites and a separate parking spot for your vehicle. - HUHA-2
Aug 2018 - $49.00
We really enjoyed this park and we are so happy we found it on this trip. It truly is the best RV park we have found in the Albuquerque area. Sites are concrete pads with paved road throughout the park. Super clean and truly amazing views of the Sandia Mountains. A quiet country setting but convenient to all shopping & city sights. The staff was very nice and helpful in the office. We will definitely stay here again. - coolplanetg

Roomy quiet sites but few with 50amp and/or sewer. Good cell but really poor wifi and no over the air tv due to rural location. Well kept grounds, mostly level sites, picnic tables and charcoal grills for each site. - Mrfixitct
Jun 2017 - $15.00
A nice park located off State 14 a mile from the entrance to Sandia Park, where the ski basin is located. It does have gravel roadways and mostly level gravel sites. My site was long enough for my 40' Class A and my 18' car hauler connected. Grass patio with grill and picnic table. Sites are shared with neighbor's patio on your patio side and back to back on opposite neighbor in an alternating parking pattern. FHU connections are close by. This is my second time here, which means it was good enough to return. Our rate is based on a monthly rate since we stayed for 5 weeks total. Electric is metered on long term site or a flat $90 fee for using a daily rate site for the month (which is what happened to us since no long term site were available during our stay. Office staff is super friendly. Easy access to Albuquerque and Santa Fe amenities. Cooler weather at almost 7000 feet elevation. - kihei7
Jun 2017 - $33.00
Beautiful location in the foothills of the Sandia mountains. Good location 5 miles off of I-40. Easy access. Very quite location. Old RV park but overall well kept. Laundry has been inoperable since we arrived for the month of June. It has been a good experience. Will be back. - RB-KB

May 2018 - $40.00
We were looking for a short stay in Albuquerque while visiting family. This Park is mostly a Mobile Home Park, but still has quite a few RV Sites spread throughout the Park. This is the cleanest, most well kept, mobile home park we've ever stayed in. There was a laundry facility very near our spot, and the staff were very polite and helpful. We had a gravel spot, with picnic table and small tree. The entire Park streets are paved, and there is an outdoor pool available for use (we didn't use, as it had not opened for the summer). - Explorateurs
Oct 2017 - $75.00
We stayed here the last 2 nights of Balloon Fiesta. We were told when we made reservations it was within walking distance. When we arrived I asked and was told, "Oh no, it's at least 2 miles. You'll want to drive." Site was between two run down mobile homes. There was a fence along the back with barbed wire. We were greeted by two barking dogs behind us and one to the right. We also had someone hammering on a car bumper for an hour on Sunday evening right across the street. Difficult to return after the balloon festival as the road was blocked to get to the village. Had to argue with an officer and drive around barriers. - StewartsD&A
May 2017 - $15.00
Older mobile home park with sites interspersed for RV's. It is well kept, quiet, and clean. Sites are level gravel, with concrete walks and "patios". Some of the concrete is cracked and broken. No WIFI or cable. All utilities work well. Easy to get to from the freeway. Roads are wide and spaces east to maneuver into. Staff is friendly and helpful. Not "high end", but comfortable for a reasonable price. $15 based on monthly rate. - Pacatrader

We are members of Monaco International and this was rally-style dry camping at the West VIP lot just south of the launch field. Our club rate included 2 lunches, 2 breakfasts and appetizers at Social Hours. It's difficult to get into this lot unless you're a member of a group because of its location. Although we could see the balloons launching from our front window, we went down onto the field to get up close & personal. Generators are allowed except for "quiet hours" and water trucks & honey wagons could be utilized for a fee. THE place to be for Balloon Fiesta! A Balloon landed directly in front us in our Social Area between the Host Coaches! Ours was a 4-night package for $475 for the 2 of us. - monamonaco
Oct 2017 - $30.00
We stayed here for the Balloon Fiesta, rate reflects 1/2 price for night prior to fiesta. Nothing but a gravel parking lot and they pack you in. We were told that 7000 campers were in the standard lot. No hook-ups, they did have porta potties and garbage cans. Our neighbor ran their generator non stop during the hours allowed. We stayed for 4 nights and were ready to leave. But it was a perfect spot to watch the balloons. We were in the 5th row because we got there a day early. We could walk to the fiesta grounds or stay by our camper. many balloons landed right on the grounds. Fiesta museum was worth seeing. - dalebonnie

Would recommend staying. The hostess upon arrival was polite and extremely helpful. A little road noise but really not too bad. Sites were easy in and out for our 40ft and tow. - Barbara Dyer

Why did I list this? If you are coming to the Balloon Fiesta and like me like to leave a little time before I have to be somewhere that has a deadline this is a good place to stop. I planned on showing up the day before I was to check into my spot at the Balloon Fiesta. If you are an Elk, you almost always can find a spot to do this. This just happens to be a great place to stop as it is close to the Balloon Fiesta park. I called them and told them I just needed a place to park and they told me there was no issue even though they do not have RV facilities. As it turned out I could see the balloons go up in the distance and drove down to the river to see them even better. We dry camped in their lot for 2 nights. I ran the generator for AC power I need for my bi-pap machine. Had a few drinks and tacos as it was taco night at the Elks. The next day did a dry run to see the best way to get into the RV President's Compound and relaxed. Checking out how to get into the Balloon Fiesta was a good idea as the signage was not all that good. Left about 9 AM to go to the Presidents Compound and arrived about 10 AM. They let us park our rig shortly thereafter even though the published check-in time was noon. - Gilbert & Gail

Oct 2018 - $57.00
We booked this RV Park several months for the Balloon Festival. It was about the only one left. It was nice tho. It’s not a five star, but it was fine for us. You will have to level your RV or motorhome. The water was on the opposite side and we barely reached it. Sewer was ok but not quite angled enough to empty out tanks. It took awhile. There are some full timers that would fly thru there way faster than five miles an hours. We had to make a complaint on that, dust flew everywhere. The workers are so nice and helpful. I did laundry and there were four washers and dryers and they all worked. $1.25 for wash and $1.00 for 40 minutes on the dryers. I hiked around the park and really enjoyed the scenery. - Sheila Rosson
Jul 2018 - $6.00
Nice park that the employees are working very hard to improve. We stayed for two weeks and could see the employees working very hard. You can clearly see they take pride in their work. The park still has improvements to be made but we had a very pleasant and enjoyable visit. Water was just fine we drank it and used it for washing clothes. Water pressure was good. Dead trees need to be taken out. - okiegals
Apr 2018 - $1.00
As stated before, this is NOT a resort, but be prepared to pay the resort fee. The website shows a beautiful office building with fence and hand rails; we'll they're not there now. Very misleading photographs. If you like dust, this is the place for you!! Even though the speed limit is 5 mph, residents and employees drive at excessive speeds throwing up dirt and dust on the terrible rough roads.....a real challenge getting a large motorhome in and out. The entrance to the park.....well, we missed it and had to turn around and even then, the sign showing the way was small and on the ground. Laundry facilities, all four washers worked, and only 2 of the 4 dryers worked. The signage to get to your site was terrible. Actually had to go to the top site, and figure out which side of the road the sign belonged on so as to not park in the wrong spot. The water here is terrible. Our TDS tester showed TDS to be around 400, it should be at 006. Water pressure was low, 50 amp power had the correct voltage. Figuring out where to plug in, and where to dump in a full hookup site...well, you have to use your own best judgement. Close to Albuquerque shopping. - simonsrf
