Our 2nd stay. $30 is cash ... no discounts. Credit Cards must call a number (I got no response via phone). Pick a spot, self-pay in a drop box. If full sites are quite close; utilities are convenient gravel & grass throughout front pull-thru sites. Longer term residents seem to be to the back of area. Park is quiet although close to I-25. We didn't see anyone at office while we were there (a Saturday night); I did get a text after we'd left. Some sites had a picnic table. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great stop-over spot. The lovely manager directed us to our spot and then signed us up right there. she took my charge card in to scan it and brought it and my receipt back so I didn't even need to go into the office. Sites are close but we have a small shade tree which is nice. The price can't be beat for a full hookup site. Our GPS didn't tell us about the immediate turn when coming off of the freeway to get on the frontage road and we had to drive down to the next street and come back to the frontage road. If you are coming from the west on 25 be prepared to make an immediate left turn once you get off of the freeway. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night passing through. Staff was extremely helpful...not only texted me the directions to the park but also to the closest diesel station. The park and assigned space accommodated our 40' motorhome and tow vehicle. Noticed a fellow RV'er did have to disconnect his truck from his 5th wheel. Clean and well-kept park; good phone service and WIFI. No cable but DISH came in strong/clear. Great price at $30 when paid in cash. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.

Referred here by the KOA when they had no sites available with 50 amp electric. Called the number provided and they invited us to drive over and pick a site.. Owner works second job so we picked a site she recommended and pulled in to wait. Came over and was very friendly, helpful. We paid with check and the price was $4 less then with plastic. They have codes for restroom and Wifi, which we didn't need or use. I-25 was not as noisy as I feared, traffic seemed to calm down after about 9:00 pm. Not a pretty park but the sites are adequate with solid 50 amp power good water pressure and sewer all placed in the rear 1/3rd of the site, and satellite friendly. Site placement makes our neighbor who came later a little close but we had no issues. Just a bare bones alternative when the KOA is booked up. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Trying to find a slot at an RV park on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Lots of parks full. This one wasn't. They were about 2/3 full. Friendly, helpful owners. Slots are a little narrow, but room enough to put all 4 slides out. Had to make sure we positioned two slides to miss a tree. Owners very helpful getting us located and lined up. Friendly neighbors. Site was level, we pulled all the way through, gave plenty of room in the back for our tow vehicle. Easy off from I-25, easy on to US 87 when we headed for Amarillo. Owner offered suggestions on things to see and do in the area. Very satisfied with the service. Looks like new owners have painted a lot of the buildings on the property. We would stay here again. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Sugarite (pronounced sugar-eet) State Park is about 10 miles away. Very nice state park. Lots of history (former coal mining area). Fishing, kayaking, hiking, biking. One camping area is dry camping with fantastic views.

Site was large enough for our 40' fifth wheel and tow vehicle. Site width was adequate (barely) for us to extend our four slides. Rate of $30 is for cash. Would have cost $34 if we used plastic. Easy on/off from interstate. Friendly herd of goats in adjoining pasture. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Gravel road and gravel sites but that is ok since it was very clean. Level site, no jacking required. Owner was superb and seemingly very dedicated to customer service. Easy on-off to I-25 Interstate. Was guided to the site. Will camp here again if in the region. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.

$30 for 30 amp FHU + $2 for 50 amp. Access is easy in/out from I-25, accommodates big rigs, good electricity, spacious sites, gravel roads. It’s a practical park without extra amenities. Location is close to I-25 with some/minimal road noise, walking distance to downtown Raton shopping. Sites are level, gravel, with grass in between. Lots of grass to walk pets. Free WiFi with average signal. Sites in front have some trees but they are tall, narrow, and don’t hang over sites so have minimal impediment to satellite reception. Owner lives on site, built campground in 2000, electricity has been updated since. We did not use the restrooms or showers but they looked fairly clean but dated with one shower per restroom. Laundry had 2 washers and 2 dryers. Signage directing to restrooms/laundry was lacking. Hodge-podge of picnic tables at sites. Buildings could use a coat of paint. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.

Basic RV Park right next to I-25 with normal traffic noise. Park does have 50 Amp power, but does not allow electric heaters. There were signs saying "NO ELECTRIC HEATERS" and the owner repeated the prohibition. The night we were here, the low was 33 so heat was definitely needed. Sites were narrow but adequate to extend slides on both sides. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.

We arrived later than usual for us, about 6:00pm, and the park was nearly empty. The manager was out so we parked ourselves in a level pull through and our 38' motorhome and truck in tow just fit. The gravel sites all appear very level. The free Wi-Fi was excellent. This park is fine for a one or two night stop. We would stay here again. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sites were unlevel, unimproved, campground was unkempt. Site dimensions were to center of driveway, very, very small. Definitely a Woodall rated three star. A lot of permanent residents which added to the unkempt conditions of park. We camped at Willow Springs RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
