With the good reviews, i expected more especially at that price point. The entrance is very nice, but rather narrow for a big rig. And although this is the high desert and no natural grasses grow, there are natural weeds all around. They have interesting art pieces around the park, but much of it is at least partially covered by natural overgrowth. The roads and sites are gravel, it was rather dusty. The sites are also pretty close together. There are few amenities, although they did have a nice office and places for folks to meet inside. They include wireless and coffee in the office (which is very nice). And be aware that their prices are going up soon - plus they raise their prices significantly around the time of the balloon fiesta, which we were a bit put off by. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy to find this RV Park, located on the south side of Santa Fe. The entrance and main road were paved but the interior roads and site were gravel. We had requested a pull-thru when we made the reservation in June. However, when we got there all that was available was a back in. The site we were given was very tight and took several maneuvers to get into. The sites were very close to neighbors. All the utilities work fine and our site was very close to level. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

This RV Park is about 8 miles from old Santa Fe. It's easy to get onto I25 and go to old Sant Fe. Parking is limited there. Lots to see and do.

Interesting park set on several hills and terraces a bit south of Santa Fe. Interior roads are gravel, but wide enough to make for easy maneuvering, even for big rigs. High desert grasses, trees and shrubs separate sites which are somewhat close together. Each site has a concrete patio, a patio table and a couple of chairs. Sites are long enough that generally speaking you don't need to unhook towed or towing vehicles. However, the sites do tend to slope downhill, so leveling can be a slight problem. Check in was quick and easy. Be aware that rates really escalate during the Hot Air Balloon festival in Albuquerque (only 50 miles away and a huge draw for campers). Not sure, but believe the Balloon Festival is usually held during the first week in October annually. Laundry room is too small for a park this size. Only five washers and dryers with a rate of $2.50 each. And you'll need to use your credit card, the machines don't take coins. Everything about the park is neat and clean, with a 'desert-y' look about it. As others have mentioned, there are numerous whimsical pieces of metal sculpture scatted about the park. Delightful to look at, some even for sale...although none small enough to fit in your RV. We'd stay here again, but probably not during the time around Balloon Festival week. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Take a break from all the sightseeing in Santa Fe for lunch (or even dinner) at Marisco's La Playa (near downtown). It's not big and it's not fancy, but the Mexican style seafood, is above excellent. Generous amounts and reasonable prices. Our lunch dishes were enough to bring home for another meal.

Stayed 3 nights during Balloon Festival. Courteous and helpful office staff. Utilities (elec, water, sewer) worked fine. No cable but plenty of available channels on antenna. Wifi average and spotty. Good location for visiting the area. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a lovely park with many areas to explore. The walking path around the park was wonderful! The facilities were spotless. They offer free coffee and tea at the office, along with tango lessons on Tuesday evenings. Our only problem with this park is the price. A little steep for what it is. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice concrete patio with nice patio furniture. Very well cared for Park, shows pride of ownership. WiFi works great. Wish we could have stayed here longer, and will return. My site was down below the main campground. It was 2 sets of hook ups as a pull through. I'm 45 ft and I took the last set and later another coach came in behind me and took the first set. It was OK but I'm not sure the coach behind me was happy. Leaving was interesting because of the tight and sloped turn to the left. I would return but not in that area of the park. Santa Fe Skies is a very nice park. It is clean, easy to get to and easy to get around in. The wifi was good and Verizon cell signal was strong. Utilities were placed well and there is plenty of space between each rig. We have 2 complaints. First, the price is way too high. $56 for anything other than a resort with a lot of amenities and manicured grounds is overpriced - way overpriced. The other thing was the lack of lighting in the dog run at night. There should be some motion sensor lighting or something to light up the dog park. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We visit this rv park 2-3 times a year. It is normally very clean but this time we noticed significant trash under the bushes at our campsite. Additionally, we were parked close to the clubhouse and the farolitos that usually light up the tops of the stucco walls surrounding the patio area were melted and completely ruined, yet had not been cleaned off the building. It looked very bad, very messy. We brought both issues to the attention of the office workers halfway thru our week long stay, but nothing was done to clean things up. For the increased prices, we hope they act to keep the park clean. It is a beautiful location and the staff is pleasant. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The campground is fairly easy access from I-25. It is a short distance from the highway through a partially residential neighborhood and into the CG through a narrow entrance. Given the region, the CG is mostly gravel and dirt with scrub brush and cactus throughout the grounds. The entrance road is paved and the roads within the campground are gravel. We drive a 45 foot MH with a tow and were able to get into and out of the campground with car attached. We disconnected the car at the registration area to navigate the campground. Given our length, it would be very difficult to get into and out of a site with the car attached. The sites are gravel and narrow with a small concrete patio. Utilities are mid site and work well. Satellite reception, OTA reception, and Verizon signal good. We did not use the Wi-Fi, laundry or rest rooms so cannot comment on that. There is a designated dog park and it is a bit difficult to walk dogs in the campground in general. There are many area of burrs that tend to stick to the dog's pads. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This is our second stay at the CG and we would stay here again. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here many times in the past and have always enjoyed our visits. The value rating is for the Festival fee we were charged for arriving on the last day of the Balloon Festival (Oct. 15, 2018). We didn't attend the Festival but were charged the extra $39.00 per night for the rest of the 4 nights we spent at the campground. We were told that the extra fee was to pay for extra help for services and cleanup for the caravans during the festival. Unfortunately, we will not be staying here again. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

At the edge of town, but beautiful night skies. Fairly close to many activities and Old Town. We went to Prairie Dog Glass where you can learn glass blowing and purchase beautiful glassware. Cacao Santa Fe is a chocolate lovers paradise. Try the sipping bar for a sip of almost heaven hot chocolate and then see chocolate made in their kitchen. Don't miss the variety of foods and veggies at the Santa Fe Market. We have seen most of the museums over the years so choose what interests you.

Overall Rating:

About 8 miles south of Santa Fe Plaza, Santa Fe Skies RV Park is an interesting place to spend a few days and see the very cool local sights. The main drive in is paved, but the rest of the roads and sites are dirt/clay. Main group of sites are up on the top of the hill near the office and are typical slanted side by side pull-thrus. The rest of the sites, and the one we were assigned are scattered down the hill to the east in what they call the Yucca Zone on a maze of side roads. Truly need a map to navigate and some of the turns are tight. Odd layout and our pull thru was curved around a terrace wall which required quite a bit of back and forth to get the rig close to the concrete patio (a must as the ground turns to sticky red mud when it rains). Utilities works fine, good power, water pressure. Cable available, no trees to block satellite reception. Very nice view of the NM high dessert. The Yucca sites are spaced nicely giving a bit of room and privacy. Only bathhouse is at the office, which meant the Yucca folks had a bit of a schlep up the hill. WiFi was OK and ATT was good. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Old Santa Fe is a very picturesque and historic place to visit...and it appeared that everyone else thought so too. Crowded with tourists and very hard to find parking. Very nice restaurants, but very long waits (45-60min) for tables. Lots of NM shops offering Indian trinkets and chili spices. Loads of shopping 3 miles away on Cerillos road. Very good NM food at El Comal (no wait ;)

Good place to stay if you're visiting Santa Fe and surrounding areas. We were on Aster Street and were satisfied with out site at the end of the road. Nice level site but we narrow sites, we were very close to each other. Concrete pad with small table and two chairs. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was when it rained one day during our stay the dirt was washed onto the patio and our rug. No cable. There is a lot of metal artwork so gave the appearance of being a little bit junky. Everything we did tended to be to the north so from SF Skies it made the drive a little farther. We would stay here again. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.
