2 RV Parks near Tatum, New Mexico
Jul 2018 - $1.00
This is a FREE RV park! The town of Tatum NM has provided free overnight parking with FHUs to travels. They request you limit your stay to three nights. Next door to this RV Park is the town Community Center. Just after we set up, two locals came over to our MH and knocked on our door. They invited us to their free Mexican Dinner and dance too. This seems to be a very friendly town. There are five new electrical boxes. Each box has 50/30/20 amp service. Boxes are in good working condition. Our 50 amp service had 126 volts on both legs. Power was stable during our stay. The water connections are need some maintenance. We had the only faucet that had a handle on it. The other water connections are in a hole with a metal lid. Kind of yucky looking. Not sure I would hook up to those faucets. Sewer hookups are a little different too. While power and water on on the left side of your RV the sewer connection is on the right side. Hum? Anyway these are small inconveniences to actually have free overnight parking with FHUs. Verizon Cell service good. Both Verizon LTE and AT&T 4G/LTE data had good down load speeds. If back in this area we would stop here again. - ETB
May 2018 - $1.00
We spent one night here en route to northern New Mexico. It is free camping. There are new electrical boxes on the poles, but the old electrical boxes are kind of slumped over next to the ground (not sure why they have not been removed). There is also sewer hookup. The water hookup was a little tricky to use since it was down in the ground and half of the handle had been broken off (had to use pliers). It is located two blocks off the highway so there was not much road noise at night. There is a beautiful park/playground with shade one block away. We walked to The Steak House cafe a few blocks away for supper (great meal and inexpensive!). We would stay here again. - Gtown
Apr 2018 - $0.00
This park is free to stay for up to 7 nights. We only stayed one night. Neither of our GPS devices had the Randolph Rampy RV Park POI readily available so we input the street address and the Rand McNally worked great getting us here but the Garmin seemed to think that the Rand McNally route we were on was not for trucks (as we were being passed by semis). Since we stayed hooked up, we only used electrical. It was a convenient hookup at 50amp which surprised us since we were expecting 30amp but there were brand new boxes. The water and sewer hookups looked a little hinky but, like we said, we only used electrical. We had a good line of sight for our roof mounted satellite dish and great ATT hotspot and cellphone signals. The park did not provide free wifi which is going on the complaint form. Just kidding! This was a very nice over night stay. A basic park but suited our needs just fine as a stopping point on our way to Albuquerque - and - you can't beat the price. - Bob & Jo

Just peaceful, quiet, wonderful high desert. Dry camping, wildflowers everywhere. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Recommend camping Monday through Friday, as it very quiet except on weekends. Best camping is at the end of road. Retired BLM camphost and wife from Tennessee, and they are great. - Bcoe
