Our site was so narrow that our steps were literally protruding onto our neighbor's lot, and his slide-out was so close I could not walk between the trailers. Some lots were marginally larger, but I guess they hold them for larger rigs (which never came). They have new owners who are trying to improve the park, but not much can be done for the small lot sizes. They do have a pool and an off-leash area for dogs. The dirt roads caused a lot of dust in the air. My truck was covered in the morning. I will not use this park again. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We have used this park several times as a "one night" stopover. It is convenient to I40, just outside of Albuquerque. We always arrive late and leave early so don't really use the amenities which appear on the shabby side. Hookups are close to ground and don't seem all that sanitary. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Park is under new ownership. Improvements are noticeable, but they have a long way to go. Sites are tight, but not impossible. Several of the sites have a front to back rounded surface. So it requires care unhooking and hooking up a 5th wheel or travel trailer, but not impossible. Roads are adequate for two vehicles to pass, but close, if two large rigs are passing. Trees can obstruct satellite dishes on some sites. We've stayed here many times over the past 12 years. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We booked this RV Park several months for the Balloon Festival. It was about the only one left. It was nice tho. It’s not a five star, but it was fine for us. You will have to level your RV or motorhome. The water was on the opposite side and we barely reached it. Sewer was ok but not quite angled enough to empty out tanks. It took awhile. There are some full timers that would fly thru there way faster than five miles an hours. We had to make a complaint on that, dust flew everywhere. The workers are so nice and helpful. I did laundry and there were four washers and dryers and they all worked. $1.25 for wash and $1.00 for 40 minutes on the dryers. I hiked around the park and really enjoyed the scenery. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We hiked up at Sandia Crest about 25 miles away. We found diesel near there for $3.19. Don’t go to The Lazy Lizard bear there. We waited 2 hours for our food and then it was cold. Even the waitress was angry at the cook because everyone had to wait so long. She was doing it all. Great gal.

Nice park that the employees are working very hard to improve. We stayed for two weeks and could see the employees working very hard. You can clearly see they take pride in their work. The park still has improvements to be made but we had a very pleasant and enjoyable visit. Water was just fine we drank it and used it for washing clothes. Water pressure was good. Dead trees need to be taken out. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

As stated before, this is NOT a resort, but be prepared to pay the resort fee. The website shows a beautiful office building with fence and hand rails; we'll they're not there now. Very misleading photographs. If you like dust, this is the place for you!! Even though the speed limit is 5 mph, residents and employees drive at excessive speeds throwing up dirt and dust on the terrible rough roads.....a real challenge getting a large motorhome in and out. The entrance to the park.....well, we missed it and had to turn around and even then, the sign showing the way was small and on the ground. Laundry facilities, all four washers worked, and only 2 of the 4 dryers worked. The signage to get to your site was terrible. Actually had to go to the top site, and figure out which side of the road the sign belonged on so as to not park in the wrong spot. The water here is terrible. Our TDS tester showed TDS to be around 400, it should be at 006. Water pressure was low, 50 amp power had the correct voltage. Figuring out where to plug in, and where to dump in a full hookup site...well, you have to use your own best judgement. Close to Albuquerque shopping. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Was leery staying here after reading the last review... but it wasn't as bad for us as it was for the previous reviewer. The sites are definitely narrow - unless, like us, you get a double site. Ask for sites 19, 21, or 43 to get a wider space. Getting one of those, we'd stay here for a few days. Getting any other site, it'd be okay for a day. The one awkward thing is that some sites share water spigots; our water came from the right side of the site (not with the electric and sewer). There is a little hiking trail which is well marked but pretty short. There is also a nature trail that isn't marked at all and we couldn't figure it out. The pool and club house were clean. The laundry had 4 washers and dryers (although one dryer was broken) and was not that dirty. The roads were a bit bumpy; but nothing worse than some of the Thousand Trails campgrounds we've been in. Lastly, you can hear road noise from the nearby highways IF you listen for it. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is NOT a Resort! This was C2C for us and we are premier members so we paid $0 for stay but RV Park Reviews requires at least $1. Tried to charge us $12.50 a night, said all C2C pay that. This is listed as a deluxe property with C2C and is not by any means. We were told by C2C that the new owners promised to improve but have not. Spaces we were in are buddy spaces, you & your neighbor share same power pole. E/W/S were all in good working order. Very narrow roads. Unhook Tow before climbing mountain to space. Spaces are impossible to level on even with blocks. Bathrooms were so far, you had to drive to them, we didn't bother. All nicer sites below were empty. We had to get our C2C rep to get us moved. We left early because the weather was calling for 50 mph winds, so we moved on. No trees but Directv on roof had really hard time seeking. AT&T had 1/2 bars. Won't be back unless rep tells us they have improved it up to standard. Be careful, many roadside deep ditches and gullies. Roads and sites are dirt and have deep tire ditches in them, very high dust. Very close spaces. Some have tables, all the permanents have picnic tables. Spaces separated by rotten railroad ties. A lot of debris. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This was a RPI Membership park for us. It is an older park with narrow sites side by side on the slope of a hill. No room for patio chairs. Just East of Albuquerque if you want to visit the area. The park has a rec center and a pool. Good for a night unless you want to take advantage of the pool or visit the area. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a rustic campground with little in the way of landscaping - just native junipers for the most part. Sites were graveled and mine was almost level. Noise from nearby NM 333 and I-40 is minimal due to a low ridge between these routes and the park. The swimming pool and clubhouse are modern and in good condition. There are some long term residents with very old trailers, but they are separated from the pull-through sites. Wi-Fi is available in the office and clubhouse only. Water pressure was adequate and the water tasted good. We had a weekly rate of $130 for participants in a nearby sporting event. The staff were very friendly. We stayed in the lower section. The biggest concern with this place is speeding vehicles; many appear to be full time residents. I have seen cars going 30 MPH in the campground and no enforcement whatsoever. If you want your rig dusted daily this is the place. 50 amp service good, water good. Very dirty laundry room. We went into town to use a public laundry. They have a great location and nice nature trail. Too bad that only a little management would be needed to make this place a jewel. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

If you are looking for a place to park for a couple of days before continuing to your final disrtination, then this would be O.K. the sites are so narrow that the patio awning can not be opened. There is absolutely no roon for a BBQ or lounge chair. For real! Really just a place to park the RV. Sewer, electric an water were so close to the entry of the RV it was difficult to get in or out, we had to step over these items. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is just another dumpy, old RV park and we won't stay here again! The spots are very narrow and when hooking up it is almost impossible to stay on your site! The roads to the site are rutted and the neighbors water spigot was leaking and made a big mud puddle on our door side. Neighbors on the other side were permanent residents that had a dog. He/she seemed like a nice dog but they had constructed a pen for the dog under their 5th wheel neck and he stayed there all day. He would bark some. But the weather was cold! I told the office about it. Doubt that they did anything. the park was over 70% permanent residents. We will not stay there again! We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

ughHorrible! Tiny tiny sites. Could not put out awning because it would hit the camper next to us. No room to put out chairs; septic and electric are on opposite sides so you have to run the cord under the unit. High weeds and lots of bugs. With in 10 minutes hundreds of small Bugs all over camper. Also lots of ants. We left shortly after we arrived. The pool was drained. The water smelled like sulfur. Asked to speak with the owner and left my phone number. Never heard from him. I would not recommend anyone stay here. The staff was very nice though.
