This is a quiet, clean no frills park with friendly staff and level ground. There was plenty of room to maneuver and park without unhooking our towed car. Convenient access to interstate and town. It was a good overnight stop for us and we’d stay here again. We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Motorhome.

The previous reviews were what led us to this small RV park. Easy access to interstate, great for an overnight stay. Our site was a pull through that was long enough for our 42 foot fifth wheel, gravel, and level. The new owners are brothers and are both military veterans. They are working on the park and planning on adding more sites. We are proud to support this park - Thanks to the new owners! We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Fifth Wheel.

Well, I was surprised. This campground has great reviews but I'm sorry to say I was disappointed. The campground itself was clean and we were shown to our site with professionalism and courtesy. The disappointing thing was we had selected this campground using the passport America app and it was billed as being a 50% off campground. There were no restrictions on the notes section so all seemed good. When we arrived I produced my passport America card and were told they were "out of passport America sites" and they were close to full so we would have to pay full price. Granted, we could have declined and moved on but we paid full price thinking all was legitimate. After setting up I called passport America and they looked at the notes for the park and agreed we should have received the discount according to the notes. I went to see the owner and he offered a total refund if we wanted to leave but would not give us the PA rate. We were already set up so stayed and paid full price. Am I missing something here? It seems that this park wants to draw people in with the discount but not honour when people get in the driveway. The park owner did day he would get the notes changed (he only offers 5 PA sites) but would not honour the advertised deal. Misrepresentation for sure. Please continue to support this park as I can only think the owner was having a bad day. We agreed the $12 difference wasn't going to break wither one of us but I'm still hoping to see a $12 reversal on my credit card...it's the right thing to do.... Call ahead to confirm the PA rate before driving here. We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Motorhome.

Stayed on night, while heading west. Registered by owner who was very nice, he went over the RV rules, which were the normal courtesy items at most parks. We arrived during daylight, and he walked us to our site. The site had some gravel and was level. All utilities, and wide for slide outs. Quiet campground, pet area, horse pens provided (but we didn't use), laundry was available at a one time charge for use (pay the management), new washer and dryer. Would stay again. We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Fifth Wheel.

Staff was extremely helpful. Arrived after a snow storm so area was wet, but they were continually dragging the area to smooth it and expedite drying. Park is new and I am sure will only get better with time. Great price for a pull thru with full hookup. We will surely stay here when ever we are in the area. Will spend more time here next trip so that we can explore down town. Very interesting old Hwy 66 town. We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Motorhome.

As others have said, this is a no frills park but it was just what we needed. It's tiresome to pay higher prices for amenities you don't use. For an overnight stay you want a level spot, good hookups, safety, and quiet if possible. This little place more than filled the bill! It was quiet and the staff was super nice and are proud Veterans who have served our country. I'm very happy to give them our support. We arrived after dark, which is early now, and the gentleman rode his bike to direct us to our site instead of driving his car with lights. He realized his mistake though because we couldn't see the site very well. They do have little lights at each site but it was difficult to see to park. The sites are gravel and I can see where it might be a problem if there has been a lot of rain but we didn't have any trouble, thankfully it was dry. We will definitely make this a go to place to stay anytime we head west. We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Motorhome.

This is a no frills campground. That doesn't mean it is bad. I like it because I do not use all the amenities except the laundry when needed. The staff is friendly - The Sites are long , wide & level - AT&T Cell & 5 bars of LTE data - Good Sat & OTA reception. My nightly rate was Passport America. I was taken to my site which was long and wide. Very quiet here. I would certainly return if in the area. I would have rated it higher if there was a lot more gravel and less mud on the roads after a rain. We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Motorhome.

This is a nice little park. As most desert parks are, it was mostly dirt with some gravel. But the owners are extremely friendly and working to make improvements. We would definitely stop again if traveling through the area. We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Motorhome.

Small park. Owners just bought it in April 2018 and you can see the efforts they've put into it. Sites were alternating directions with the connections between you and your backside neighbor. All the utilities were accessible and worked great. They did mention at check in that they have very high water pressure, bring a regulator! They show you to your site and help guide you in, very friendly and helpful. With you facing your frontside neighbors, it's easy to strike up a conversation and relax. Got a very homey feeling from this park. We'll be back! The owners live in their RV's on site! We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night here while traveling through New Mexico. We did not use the bathroom facilities (apparently only one bathroom/shower for the whole park to use). The park was full the night we stayed there. Not able to connect to the free park wifi. The price was right ($12 plus tax using Passport America). We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Motorhome.

No resort type amenities, but quite, level, and good utilities. Good views of Mt Tucumcari, and close to town, easy access, but far enough away for I-40 to be quite. We stayed two nights in our 43 ft motor home and toad and did not need to disconnect. This is a great base a stay to tour the area or an overnight stop. Friendly and helpful owners. There are pens for horses if you're traveling with those. The best option for the area in my estimation. High city water pressure, per owner, so use a regulator. Sites are combination of gravel, dirt and grass. Might get a little muddy in heavy rains, but we had no problem. There were no picnic tables that I noticed. This is the kind of simple RV Park we like, a good value, and we'll stay again when in the area. We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Motorhome.

Try the chicken enchiladas with green sauce at El Herradero Mexican restaurant on East Main St in Tucumcari. Fair warning, they are a little spicy.

We have stayed in Tucumcari before at a different RV park. This RV Park is a gem in the making. New ownership for 4 months and they are making it the best in the area. Easy pull through parking, level, full hook-ups, quiet (even though it located on RT 66) , clean laundry facility. No tables. Easy access to hwy. The owners are working on providing more amenities. They even have a corral for your horse! Friendly, helpful management. We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Fifth Wheel.

Very good value if you are not looking for anymore than a safe and secure spot with good WiFi and level wide spots. There is a small laundry and the day we were there we were told the bathrooms were being worked on so they were not available. Apparently the 3 brothers that own and live in the park have just recently purchased it, so took that into consideration but they definitely need to put down more gravel or asphalt on the sites and road which were very muddy following a thunderstorm. If in the area we would return if the the price remains lower than others in the area. We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Motorhome.

This quiet little place is a hidden gem. It is not that it has a ton of amenities-it doesn't (it only sports the basics, simple showers, bathroom and a laundry). It is not that the landscaping and paving is beautiful (a few trees, gravel and grass). What makes this place memorable is the Mountain View, the quiet privacy and the biggest factor: the friendliness and hustle of the three brothers who have recently taken over management. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, they live on the premises and they are constantly working to make the place look neat and clean. There are facilities to house horses-this makes the park unique. Utilities were strong, reliable and conveniently placed. Sites were level and long. Wi-Fi was weak, but Verizon worked well. Make no mistake, this is not a resort destination, but it is one of the quietest and most private overnight stays you will find in Tucumcari. . .and the price is right. We camped at Blaze-in-Saddle in a Fifth Wheel.
