A great place for overnight. Roads are paved and sites are pea gravel. Our pull through was a buddy site and very close on the hookup side, but it really wasn't a problem. Restrooms were very clean. The park was full the week night we were there. WiFi was down due to a lightening strike, but electricians were trying to fix it. We had a strong Verizon signal and used our hotspot. We would definitely stay again. - summergames84

This maybe one of the best parks for overnighting that we have come across in our travels. The entire park is easy to maneuver around , check-in is quick and easy, plus the park is neat and clean. Shopping and fuel spots are nearby. Easy on-off from I-40, but far enough away that road noise is not an issue. Trains are a bit more bothersome, but not excessively so. Paved interior roads and mostly level gravel RV sites. Sites I-91 appear to be very tight in width, but plenty long. Sites 92-120 (the sites furthest away from I-40) are rather spacious width wise. All the sites appear long enough that it's not necessary to unhook which is nice when you're just there for an overnight. I'd recommend any one of these sites(92-120) if you have a big rig. Two sites share a hook-up pedestal, so the driver's side of each rig face one another. It's definitely a very good spot for overnights, but it would also be good for an extended stay to visit the national parks and historical sights in the area. - boardman

Nobody around? No key to the bathrooms. We finally found someone with a key late in the day. No envelopes or forms or receipts to make a payment. Wrote a check and put it in OUR envelope with key on the way out. Very unprofessional. - DAN44MILW

The site was level. The electric and water were centrally located. The water pressure was quite high so make sure you have a regulator. There are several places for horse stalls so flys and ants can be an issue. It could get very dusty. If there is an event, a great fireworks display starts at dusk. The wifi at the site was quite slow. AT&T worked fine at the site. - Al and Anne-Marie

Stayed here for a week while visiting forest National Park which was less than an hour away. First the bad- horse poop everywhere, trash everywhere, sand too deep for using a wheelchair, sites very difficult to get big rigs in and not level, no fenced in area for dogs but plenty of trails, and the flies were ridiculous. Now for the good-magnificent view of the red rocks and spires, fairly easy to find from interstate, and close to shopping and restaurants. Management was friendly and accommodating but the office to check in is not in the campgrounds and was hard to find. Other campers were very friendly. We're glad to leave and get away from flies. As long as you don't spend a lot of time outside it would be a good campground. Might stay again but would stock up on bug spray! - S Dowdy
