2 RV Parks near Vaughn, New Mexico
Dec 2018 - $25.00
This is a very self-serve RV Park. You simply pick a spot and drop a check in a drop box attached to the house in the front. There was no service. No one came out the entire time we were there. The site are very slanted. To get the house level, we had to raise the driver's side until the wheels were three inches off the ground. After about an hour of trying, we were able to get the house mostly level and the wheels still on the ground. Our water pipes did freeze, that is on me. However, the next morning I tried to empty the tanks. The sewer was either frozen or blocked. This made for an unpleasant surprise when the elbow popped off the ground connector as I began to empty the black tank. This made me realize how bad things could have been if I had left the grey tank open and dripped the taps overnight. Do not stay here. - Clanberg
Aug 2018 - $25.00
This park is a gem in the middle of miles and miles of road. We stayed at the park behind the Catholic Church in a 35' fifth wheel for 2 nights, I think there is another one farther west on 285. 50 amp, water, sewer and very strong and reliable WiFi. 9 sites with 4 being pull thrus. $25/ nt including tax. Pay with cash or check, there's a slot and envelope for this. We recommend this park and would stay again. - Daddycougar
Nov 2016 - $23.00
Pay at the Western motel but don't know how well that will work as motel is now closed. No credit cards. Campsites are about two blocks west of the motel behind the city park. Pull through sites on the grass. There was another campground east of the motel which I think is run by the same people but it was full. Also a third campground to the east which also says Western motel but owner at the motel said that was not hers. Ok place to camp when just passing through. - fander
Sep 2018 - $20.00
It is good for a night stop , no showers or restrooms available. The sites have full hookups and no more. We were alone in the C.G, a motel attached to the C.G handles the payments and acts as an office. - summerdude
Jan 2014 - $24.00
No one around; self pay and the rate cited is with a Good Sam discount. Tight entries and had to pull out and in a side entrance to get to one of three pull-through sites. Sign out front said Wi-Fi and could see the access point on my computer but it didn't work; got another site close by to work instead. Only one very fuzzy over the air TV channel; some train noise. Only OK for overnight stay. Site somewhat unlevel. - dirtfan1946
Mar 2012 - $16.00
No management present even though sign on door said 'back at 6:00'. Dirt and gravel sites were very uneven. Train noise was extremely annoying as trains passed close by all night long at a rate of several per hour with horns blasting. We got no sleep at all. Will never return. - mizzougypsies
