Great Campground. Right on Lake Ontario. Nice pull thru level lots good wifi but only OTA channels. We were able to pick up 10 to 12 channels. You can rent a box from the office for cable, but we choose not to. Friendly owners. Very helpful if needed. Very well keep grounds. We camped at The Willows on the Lake in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a lovely little gem of an RV park on the shores of Lake Ontario, just south of Sackets Harbor. The sites are spacious, level and generous in size. Our 45 ft motorhome has room to spare! The grounds are manicured, with plenty of lush green grass, pretty flowers, and a great view of the lake. There are a number of very nicely maintained seasonal RVs and park models here, but plenty of room for transients, too. The roads are easy to navigate and well-laid out. The utilities are all in the right place and all in working order. The big-rig sites are satellite-friendly, and the Verizon signal is reasonably strong. Although on a state highway, it is a designated bike route with wide, paved shoulders, so you can ride your bike to a nearby State Park, or all the way to Sackets Harbor, if you like. The owners are on-site and very attentive. Clearly, they are committed to providing a high-quality experience to their guests. There was even a live music offering on the weekend. We will definitely come here again! We camped at The Willows on the Lake in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a nice RV park with a bit over half the spaces taken up by seasonal/long term units. The transient spaces are all located to the back side of the park which is closest to Highway 3. The long term units are all well maintained and the folks are all very friendly. Highway 3 is part of the Seaway Scenic Byway and was busy during the day but not at night and the noise was not noticeable at all. Our site was a gravel pullthru with full hookups ( 50 amp), it was open allowing us to connect our satellite tv with no problems. We were given a wifi code but did not try to connect as our Verizon service worked just fine. It rained, heavily, while we were here and we had quite a bit of standing water around our site but not around our pad area which allowed us to get in and out of the coach with no problems. They recycle here, which is a nice perk but there is only on dumpster/recycling center and it is at the opposite end of the park from the transient/short term sites which makes it a bit inconvenient. The gazebo at the lake front is very nice and the sunsets are beautiful. Lake Ontario is currently at a 100 year historic high so the swim beach and dock were closed. We really enjoyed this park and would stay again if we were in the area. We camped at The Willows on the Lake in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Sacketts Harbor, about 5 miles away is cute and we enjoyed the State Park there. Watertown is also about 10 miles away and has all the services you need. We enjoyed the Tibbitts Point Lighthouse in Cape Vincent as well.

This is a gem of an RV park to be sure. This was our first time here and to the region, so everything was new to us. We stayed here a month in a class A RV in a full hookup 50A pull-thru. The owners live on site and are extremely attentive to their guest's needs and to the overall condition of the park. The sunsets over Lake Ontario at their pergola were a treat as was the entertainers they hired on the weekends. This is a quiet, friendly, adult park. The sites are spacious, plenty of trees and grass and access to the main road is easy. We would absolutely stay here again. We camped at The Willows on the Lake in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We had a dilemma on our reservation and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Very nice couple own and run this small park. Restrooms are clean but small with no real privacy and no area to place clothes and towel, besides floor. Site was level with stone base and grass between lots. Very roomy as well. 17 miles to Watertown for groceries. View of sunsets over Lake Ontario are spectacular. If ever in the area again we would stay here. We camped at The Willows on the Lake in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed staying here and would return, if in the area. The sunsets over Lake Ontario are magnificent - many of those in the campground come to watch the sun go down - a nice moment of community. The grounds are well kept and the seasonal residents do a lovely job of maintaining their little piece of paradise. The new owners have been at it now for about 18 months and seem to be doing well. They're courteous and hospitable. The sites are level, with patio tables on the grass. Utilities are appropriately placed and work nicely. We camped at The Willows on the Lake in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Did a tour of Thousand Islands with Clayton Island Tours - great time, small number of passengers. Such a lovely lifestyle in the Thousand Islands. Enjoyed the Boat Musuem, also in Clayton, and walking about Mr. Boldt's La Duchesse. Boldt Castle was a disappointment - so many other people (hundred) walking about at the same time. Wish it was more like the tours at Hearst Castle.

Overall Rating:

This pleasant campground is located on the shores of Henderson Bay, Lake Ontario between the towns of Henderson Harbor and Sacketts Harbor. It has a gazebo for watching the lake, a boat ramp, and a small rocky beach area. The area closest to the shoreline has seasonal folks, and the temporary visitors are placed closer to the road. Our full-service campsite was level and unshaded. The campground is well-maintained. The laundry facilities were excellent. We camped at The Willows on the Lake in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Overall, this is a nice campground for visiting the Lake Ontario area. The owners are friendly and helpful. They have a beautiful gazebo with comfy chairs by the lake where you can view some amazing sunsets. There is a boat launch. The Wi-Fi worked great with our Wi-Fi extenders. We didn't get the cable to work correctly, but we didn't ask for help either. The transient sites are near route 3 so it's noisy during the day but quiets down at night. The pull thru sites are long and wide with ample room between neighbors. They are, however, deceivingly not level. Blocks were required for us. Parts of the interior roads are a bit narrow for large RVs, and there are several potholes. Many bike riding opportunities, and neat little towns to tour. There are a large number of seasonal campers, but all the sites are well maintained. Lots of Canadians visit, too! Our rate reflects a weekly rate. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at The Willows on the Lake in a Motorhome.

The owners were very friendly! Park access was good but tight in one spot (we have a 45 ft. motorhome plus toad). Camp owners will have fixed by next season. Easy access to lakeside and boat ramp. Beautiful sunsets on the lake...close to charming villages on the lake and Watertown which had all major stores. As compared to the many very small and old campgrounds in the area we were quite pleased to find this park. Future plans include additional pull throughs with new 50 amps. There were some seasonal park models but all were very nice. Definitely would recommend this park and stay here again. We camped at The Willows on the Lake in a Motorhome.

Extra friendly owners and staff. Extremely well maintained, some park models but all in excellent condition. Only park models and cabins have views of lake Ontario. Boat ramp, wharf and small swimming area right on lake Ontario. Large grassy area with gazebo where you can watch the boats and sunsets on the lake - just beautiful. Pull thru sites don't have sewer and are out in the open. We had a back-in, plenty of space for 40' MH. If they had 50amp, they would be a 10. Good cable TV and Wi-Fi. Close to Sacketts Harbor & other attractions. Highly recommend. We camped at The Willows on the Lake in a Motorhome.
