This campground has recently become a KOA campground and the owners are making improvements. Lots for the kids to do, 2 swimming pools, Miniature Golf, Gaga Pit, Petal cars, nice playground, activity center, dog park. One issue with the dog park is the bottom of the fencing in areas has a gap of 6 to 9 inches and small dogs can crawl under the fence. Staff was very helpful but did not use the information I provided on the size of my motorhome and tried to put me in a site that the RV would not fit. The girl at the front desk worked with me to find a spot that would accommodate my 41 ft RV. Roads are dirt/gravel with lots of pot holes. Have to go very slow to avoid damaging your rig. Very quiet, but most sites are very close together. Little shade for the section for large rigs. We camped at Hammondsport / Bath KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Not much to do in Hammondsport except for lake activities. Watkins Glen is close by and the state park in the middle of town was great for hiking and viewing waterfalls.

The campground is troublesome for a big rig. Getting there requires trying to avoid low hanging branches. The check-in personnel are pleasant. Our pull through was dirt which caused our motorhome to get filthy when it rained. The utilities were well placed and worked ok except the water pressure was a bit low. The wifi is worthless. There are limited cable channels, but they come in very well. The cost of this campground is very high for what you get. One would think that for this high cost you would get decent wifi. I won`t stay again. We camped at Hammondsport / Bath KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed in this KOA twice in about two weeks. The first night was July 4, and we needed a spot to get off the road. The snack bar was selling pork barbeque meals and yummy ice cream (only 4 varieties). A week or so later we passed through again and having liked it so much before, we stayed for two nights. The snack/ice cream bar were closed. The campground has two pools - one outfitted with a spray park and the other more like the pools that you find at most campgrounds. The mini-golf looked fun and was operational. We never found the path down to the pond, though we looked. This campground recently changed hands and you can see where the owners have been working to spruce up the place. They still have a ways to go, but seem to be on the right track. Our first campsite was gravel and our second campsite was grass. There are mature trees throughout which provide lovely shade, as well as newer trees that don't cast much shade yet. Staff were very, very helpful. The road from the Interstate takes a few turns through town, one at a "Y" in the road, where we should have gone left and went right instead. We camped at Hammondsport / Bath KOA in a Motorhome.

This was an interesting place both to visit and review. First off, it changed hands in February 2019, used to be Hickory Hill, and now Hammondsport/Bath KOA. Easy access from I-86, side street through town has some questionable limbs, but can be avoided by going on the wrong side of the road. Our site (H156) was arguably one of the best "old" patio sites. Had 2 big trees and lots of shade, plus a a huge grass area beyond that and long enough I could pull the truck behind the trailer with room to spare. Enough room between trees and trailer to extend the awning fully. Site isn't level and I had nearly all of 3 packs of lynx levelers out to level and stabilize. Site has a little bit of stone next to pad, but the remainder is all grass, I was worried but the truck didn't sink. Roads are all stone and fairly narrow, but wide enough to not have limbs hitting the trailer. AT&T cell signal very strong. Upper pool was closed, ice cream shop was closed. Pond on the map is more of a swamp and inaccessible, nature trails overgrown, mini golf a mess. My inlaws rented an economy cabin and it was a mess. The frig never worked right and quit day 2, cabin also had ants. They moved to another one, and that one had electric issues and stove and microwave, didn't work. They did get it fixed after fooling with it all day. Both of our reservations were made pre sale, and we were told original prices would be honored and they were not. This is a campground in transition, we like the Watkins Glen KOA, and the same people have bought this. Clearly the old owners started to let things go pre sale, but the new owners appear to be trying to improve the place and fix the neglect, most of these issues didn't creep up overnight. Just going to take some time, but they should have kept their word on pricing. Would I go back, tough question right now. We camped at Hammondsport / Bath KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

New KOA . Campground seems to have many activities for both kids and adults. Well maintained. However, the grassy, unmarked area where our site was located was a bit confusing. It had two electrical poles with guide wires - thus one had to maneuver between them. It was a pull thru and counting picnic tables and fire rings on both sides of our site, we didn't have either. No big deal. But the cable didn't work, it was quickly replaced, and still didn't work. As for air channels, non existent. We camped at Hammondsport / Bath KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here with a group and received a 50% discount. We don't normally stay at a full service campgrounds because it doesn't feel like camping. There is limited space between units and it doesn't lend itself to hanging out around the campfire. That being said, the facilities are very nice and the staff exceptional. We were trying to handle flooding issues with our property in New Bern, NC during Hurricane Florence and the office helped us tremendously with printing forms and faxing responses to FEMA adjusters and others. The cell phone signal was excellent here, strong wifi, and cable tv. We would definitely stay here again with our group. We camped at Hammondsport / Bath KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We highly recommend Dr. Konstantin Frank Wine Cellars. The Watkins Glen Gorge should be on everyone's bucket list. The gorge trail at Robert H. Treman State Park (near Ithaca, NY). Taughannock Falls State Park.

Price reflects 1/2 price special for this time of year. Stayed for 7 nights to tour area. Reserved concrete patio spot. Patio spots are few but since rain was forecast, we didn't want to step out into mud. We asked to change spots when we arrived because the spot we reserved was difficult to level. The staff was very nice and changed our spot without problems. The spot #12 was a gravel back in. The patio spots are somewhat terraced with the concrete being 8-10 inches higher than the gravel so you have to park a bit away from pad to allow steps to lower correctly. You'll need a donut for the sewer connection. The cable connection was torn off the pole when we arrived. We notified the office and it was repaired before we even finished set up. There are a lot of permanent and seasonal sites here but very well maintained. The showers and restrooms were great. The laundry was adequate but could use a good cleaning. Even with a lot of recent rain, the ground was soft but not muddy. Verizon good. Wifi fair to good with poor weather. We did not use the amenities (pool, mini-golf, pedal carts) but they appeared to be very nice. Regular price of $70 per night is not a bad deal if you have kids that would use the all included amenities, but for just 2 adults it's a little high for us if not for the discount. We would stay here again but would choose one of the big rig pull through sites instead of patio site. We camped at Hammondsport / Bath KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Location is fantastic for touring the area. Hammondsport is a cute little town. We visited the Fingerlakes boat museum. We're not boat people but found this very interesting. They even let you into the workshop to watch them actually working on real boats that they are restoring. Worth the $7. Don't miss the Corning glass museum and the Gorge trail at Watkins Glen state park.

Very good location for visiting the Finger Lakes, wineries, parks, lakes, etc. Park is geared for families & children with lots of activities/ amenities. We visited in a Class A, 45' motorhome. Some sites have shade, some are totally open. Big rig area has pull thrus, picnic table, full hook ups, fire ring. Some have a paver or concrete patio also. Mostly dirt/gravel roads which creates some dust. Our site was a gravel/grass mix. Roads to 'big rig' area navigate well & turns are fairly easy. Not a 5 star for us since we don't travel with children & the price is fairly high. We camped at Hammondsport / Bath KOA in a Motorhome.

Bath has all the necessities. Nearest Walmart is in Corning, about 18 miles from the campground. Travel to the campground on Route 13 from downtown Bath to the entrance currently has several tree limbs that are low. RVs 12'8" or higher will brush these branches. Chat A While diner in downtown is a nice stop for breakfast or lunch.

Great Park! In easy travel distance to all the Finger Lakes attractions including Watkins Glen and Wineries. We attended a rally for the weekend in October so the pools were closed and it was cooler. The sites are mostly grassy so be careful if it's been raining. We had to help a motorhome out due to the ground being too wet. We camped at Hammondsport / Bath KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We are really impressed with this resort and using a half-price special, it was well worth the value. We had a FHU site on the open grass with plenty of space around us. The WIFI was one of the best we have used and the cable TV had numerous stations (both analog and digital). Very easy to drive our 36 ft fifth wheel to/from and in the park. There are plenty of activities for kids and would have preferred they had some more adult activities. The adult pool was closed as the weather was only in the low 70s while we were there. However, on the weekend the kids splash pull was in full operation. There are a couple of trails within the park where you can walk your dog as well as a very nice dog park. Our only real complaint is that the staff did not enforce the rules when the weekend crowd arrived. Loud people around campfires till 2am and dogs not on leash. We even saw one site where they did not even attempt to put out their campfire when they pulled out on Sunday afternoon (where we are from that is a definite no-no). We camped at Hammondsport / Bath KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is one of the very best I have ever been to! The sites were level, the staff top notch, the amenities among the best available. If ever I am in this area of the Finger Lakes area of New York I will go out of my way to stay here. And oh, by the way, my two fur babies and their sister really enjoyed the dog park! We stopped here for one night. They have nice, very long pull-thrus with full hookups. That was perfect as we didn't have to unhook from our travel trailer. They have different types of very long pull-thrus. They gave us one of the regular ones. I wish they offered us one of the big rig sites as those are a little larger and seemed altogether better sites. I think $55 was way too much for what we got. Maybe for families that will use the pools and participate in the activities, it would be worth it, but I doubt it. We camped at Hammondsport / Bath KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice and well maintained park. The is lots of open space and things for kids to do. Our site was all grass, a bit too close, and it took a little work to level the coach. The park has a very large, clean dog park. I gave the park an extra point for the dog park and because they recycle.
